Brilliant location near to railway station and close to all main attractions with plenty of restaurants and shops around. Great staff, breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Price was good considering where the hotel is. The only minor criticism is that the rooms are very compact, with not even enough space to leave a suitcase out! That said we managed!

Art Artlier hotel is like 3star common hotel, even dough 4star hotel. Some staff is welcoming, but some staff(breakfast serving part) is not helpful. The Room is the worst in sound and noise. At night we awakened because of water dripping sound from upstairs, TV sound and the voices from another room. Sound barrier is bad and bad. So I couldn't sleep well for 3 days all.

The hotel is well located and near Santa Maria Novella stazione. There are a number of very nice restaurants nearby and the distance to il Duomo is easily walkable. The quirky Mercato Centrale is close by as well and offers some interesting products and fresh food. The hotel has a fine breakfast in the nicely appointed breakfast room.

This hotel is excellent. The location is terrific, the room was spacious (by any standard, not just "European")and the bed was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on in a hotel. The breakfast was wonderful, even includes scrambled eggs. In addition to WiFi in the rooms, there is a computer and printer in the lobby. Do not attempt to drive to the hotel - find a car park on the perimiter of the restricted car zone and spend the money for a cab!

This is a charming hotel just a block away from the leather market. It is very clean (I forgave them for the small amount of mould in the shower), the beds are comfortable and the breakfast lovely. Our room seemed to be at the confluence of all the plumbing as we could hear everyone showering and flushing, but that was the only negative point. The staff were helpful and even called a local garage to pick up our car and park it.

Unfortunately the room was serviced by a separate boiler system to the rest of the hotel and this reset itself several times. Each time it did this there was no hot water, to be fair when we told this to the staff they fixed it each time but some times it was not convenient to tell the staff, get them to fix it etc and wait for 15-20 mins. So for a three day stay I ended up having half my showers cold which I don't expect when I'm paying over a £100 a night. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was better than average. We were in room 100 if this helps anyone avoid similar problems in the future

My stay at Hotel Art Atelier was perfect in all respects : friendly and helpful welcoming, small but very cosy and quiet room on the backside, very nicely decorated (you can trust the pictures), spacious bathroom with tub. Very well located, five minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella Station but also to the Duomo and all central sites. Nice restaurants in the streets all around. They unfortunately had no availabilities on my return trip a month later, so I booked another hotel near the station, with regret !

This hotel was the best. The value for the room was unbelievable. the location was excellent. The room was charming. While the bathroom was slightly small by American standards it was a perfectly good size for an italian hotel. The staff was fantastic and went out of their way to make reservations and help with other requests. Absolutely fantastic experience!

The location was very close to the train station where the bus from the airport and the bus from Pisa comes in. We had a triple room as our daughter was joining us and there was a separate niche for her in the room. The bathroom was beautiful. Staff was very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay especially if you're visiting Florence for local attractions. Close to train and bus station but, its very quiet and not usual nightmare @ hotels by Train/Bus Stations Fantastic staff with their local recommendations if you don't have planned itinerary (which we didn't) Cheers,S

The hotel was perfectly located and nicely decorated. The room was spacious by the European standards. We spent 7 nights in this hotel in November of 2011. The staff: Gabriell, Federica and Armando were terrific - thank you guys for all your tips and interesting discussions.

Because it is in a renovated building the rooms vary greatly. Good staff and an excellent location close to the railway station and city center. A very good value that deserves its 4-star rating.

The hotel is the best one that I have stayed at in Firenze for the money! The location is fantastic and feels far enough from the crowds by close enough to get to the main sights quickly. The train station is also very convenient. They serve one of the better breakfasts for a hotel.

We had moved our reservation up one night prior to arrival, and there was some difficulty with that as they didn't have the room type requested available, but they put us in a room immediately. It was very clean with a large shower and very comfortable bed, for which we were grateful after our hotel stay in Venice. There are no great views from the windows, but the location was very good, there was a decent breakfast, free chocolates in the lovely lobby, and we loved the staff, particularly Federica, who took the time to chat with us about various things. I would most certainly recommend this hotel to anyone. The hotel was lovely.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The location is quiet and very convenient to the sites of Florence. Fredericka, the woman at the desk, was extremely helpful with suggestions and directions. She is a wonderful asset! The Hotel had a great breakfast presentation. Our family of 5 adults was thrilled with all aspects of this hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located and good value for money. It is remarkably quiet given its central location. Easy walk from the SM Novella train station, even with rolling luggage. Good breakfast and exceptionally comfortable beds.

This hotel only opened in January 2011. It is very clean and smartly decorated. The staff were courteous, helpful and knowledgeable about Florence. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The location is in a quiet (for Florence) street, but the situation is close to the railway station and excellent for getting around Florence.
