We loved our room and staff was excellent . Internet signal was weak. We moved around in the room and able to get it sitting outside bathroom in our room. Unable to get signal anywhere else in the room. First time at the hotel. It did meet our standards. It was noisy dueto traffic on the street.

Central place in Florence, very near to S.M.N. train station. We were in four (2 guys of 10 and 12). Our stay was confortable: quiet place, proportionate to its category, good breakfast. Superb the owners! Big simpaty and good suggestions for restaurants and places sightseeing. We will back there in the future!

We stayed for six nights in hotel Albion in end of October. It met our expectations perfectly and even exceeded them - spacious and clean room, good breakfast, and last but not least - hotel staff made everything so that we feel comfortable during our stay there. Hotel Albion is what every tourist looks for - a place to feel home after a long day of riding through streets, sights and museums of Firenze.

This hotel is very good value for the price you pay. great breakfast service and selection. we booked a family room (4 people). The room was very basic but with all essentials to have a great stay. The hotel owner is extremely helpful and very friendly. The hotel is well situated and you can walk to most of the tourist attraction on foot. there is also good selection of restaurants/supermarket around (both expensive ones and budget ones). I would recommand this hotel if you are not looking for luxury. one negative this is that the hotel is a bit far futher than I thought from the train station. It took me more than 15 minutes - the surround of the hotel is also a little bit sketchy with some weird people roaming around at night, i felt a little bit unsafe walking with my family at night.

The Hotel Albion is family owned and charaterized by the warm and friendly welcome given by Sara, one of the family members. She is a gentle, lovely woman who takes great pride in providing exceptional and personal service. The public areas are decorated with the family's art collection and include a bar for drinks or coffee and a pleasant dining room for breakfast. The rooms are simple and the location is ideal; close to the river and major sites of Florence. We would stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located 10 minutes walk from Santa Maria Novella station. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great for Italian standards. On the disadvantages, they have 3 rooms on the top floor where you need to walk through an extremely devastated staircase - we wanted to run away when we saw it. The room (no 1) was clean and spacious but desperately needed painting and overall renovation. You better also bring your own towels, because the ones they provide are not a good quality (although also clean and changed every day). On the overall, I would not give them 3 stars, but our stay was nice.

Sara and Massimo are the best. This hotel has been in the family for five generations. Location is fantastic - a few blocks from the train station and a 10 minute walk to the city center. Great casual food nearby that's not too touristy. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to everyone.

We arrived without our luggage for 24 hours it was a great help with Sara contacting the airport the next day in Italian no language problemsat the hotel , french and english at least light airy room on the second floor, good air conditioning and needed as 33 to 35 in the shade, no lift but cases taken up and brought down by the young men well placed for picking up little electric bus D to and from centre and 10 mins on foot to the main railway and bus station you can buy a 12 euro pass for three days of any buses ideal to see a bit futher out the 12 and 13 do big circular sweeps over the river and the 7 goes to St marks sure for the Acccadamia and the David viewing ,then on up into the hills and Fiesole 2 mins to the river standard 20 euros taxi fare from the airport with 2 euros per case added short walks to everywhere but not in packed and heaving tourist centre bookings arranged for museum visits on line before we got there by Sara ,she and her charming family were more then willing to assist with any requests It was my special 65 birthday holiday and we enjoyed every day If you are a european citizen under 18 or over 65 take some in so you can get in free to the main state museums ab prt from the 4 euro advance booking fee if needed dress was casual just a scarf needed for bare shoulders to visit the churches the nearly knee length shorts were Ok for my husband go its a beatiful place with friendly open people and lots of words so like the french mant small falily restaurants good reasonable prices and any dish can be shared with two plates as a normal thing so we often did

Excellent stay with a good room and excellent bathroom. Everything confortable. Breakfast percect also, and an extremely kind and pleasant staff. Sara and the others(i dont know the name)were suberb in attending us. The quietness of the hotel is good, but remember that Firenze is a noisily city and you'll hear horns from cars and firemen car and ambulances. The location is walk distant to bridge Vecchio and the important squares. I recommend !

We spent only one night at the Albion, after staying 4 nights at La Silla Hotel. We wanted to stay closer to the train station during our last day in Florence. We should have stayed at the La Silla during the whole stay though. I'll try to summarize the bad and good things about our experience in the Albion. Bad things about the Albion: The hotel is not nearly a 3 star hotel. I would rate it as 2 star at most. Our room looked worn out and kind of dirty and it was very noise at night. The bathroom was small and required some repairs. We didn't care too much though since we stayed here only one night. Maybe there were better rooms, but it didn't look like it. The distance from the hotel to the train station was about 500 meters based on my GPS (not 250 as advertised in the web page). Good things: The breakfast was really good. Staff was friendly and very helpful to give us indications about a laundromat (located just 5 minutes walking from the hotel). They helped us moving our suitcases to our room, since there is no elevator at the hotel. In summary: We wouldn't stay here again. For just a few extra euros we got a way better experience at La Silla Hotel. The rooms are old and noisy and the closeness to the train station was not really an advantage, since buses in Florence were extremely efficient to move everywhere with our luggage.

Hotel Albion exceeded our expectations while on vacation in Venice, Florence and Rome. We had a very large room on the first floor off of the bar area. There was a little street noise, but nothing that would bother or annoy you. The owners of Hotel Albion are extremely helpful, friendly and will do anything to make your visit smooth and memorable. Easy walk to the train station. We walked everywhere and found plenty of restaurants in our price range. Clean bathroom included a tub/shower combo; internet available in bar area; breakfast was fantastic. Great hotel!

The Albion was wonderful- the owners were friendly and went out of their way to help us enjoy our visit. The staff was pleasant and competent.
