This is the best hotel that my family and I had stayed during our vacation in Italy (September 2009). Hotel staff were very friendly and helped us with reservations to visit the Accademia and Uffizi museums which avoided the long queues. The daily breakfast and service were great. Location of hotel was very close to the train station and very convenient.

First time I stayed in Firenze and of course my first time w/ this Hotel. I found the desk help very attentive and very cordial. beautiful Lobby. It was in a dimely lit part of town and not where I would go for a walk by myself. It was in aother part of town that I became a bit more impressed w/ the surroundings.

Excellent location, best with train travel and hotel room are much better than the picture on the website. It is very spacious and tasteful deco, very beautiful bathroom. Breakfast room is a bit crowded at peak time and you are expected to queue for 20mins. Overall a great hotel, would come back again

Very nice hotel, with an atmosphere. Close to downtown, walking distance 10 minutes. Very nice inner garden, with sofas and tables, ideal for relax, reading, smoking a cigar. Excellent price/quality ratio. Ways above the average accommodations in the area. More than suggestible hotel.

Talking about Room 410,Noise Air condition(in level 2,or 3),level 1 to hot,(Top floor)27°C... They could do ,with a POWER-SHOWER,and the front desk could give you the choice by the check in if you are agre with a room with Bath or a Shower..??Never askt us about it.

We travel extensively internationally and this is, perhaps, the best hotel we have ever experienced. Although it is not a "family" establishment (which we generally prefer), the quality of this hotel is extraordinary in relation to the price. I will return again soon and recommend it highly to others. The hotel is especially well suited for train travellers due to its close proximity to Santa Maria Novella stazione. The promximity does not interfere with the quietness and class of the property though. The hotel must be experienced to be believed.

In our trip to Italy (first time), we have stayed in hotels in Florance, Venice, and Rome at near this price range. Albani Firenze is the best ! The room was beautifully done, spic and span, and fresh sparkling white clean linens. We even got a view of the Duomo from our balcony. Even the local banks charged much more commission to cash our Euro travellers cheques compared to the hotel. Excellent breakfast - courteous English speaking front desk - What more does one need?

Clearly this is a new venture experiencing teething problems. The biggest issue is that staff lack training in dealing with customers. The dining room could not accomodate the numbers for breakfast which resulted in a queue. At a potential 900 euros a night not what one would expect. The staff were abrupt, talked loudly throughout the meal and irritating music accompanied the experience. We were upset by roudy behaviour in an adjacent room and staff were very slow in dealing with this. We would have been most aggrieved had we been paying the 900 euro tariff suggested on the door!

This hotel was fantastic ... from the rooms, to the breakfast, to the location ... it rated very high, if not the top, of all the places we visited in Italy (including Rome, Venice, Cinque Terre and Sorrento). The hotel is located one street over from the train station and is in walking distance of all the great things Florence has to offer. We were able to check in early and also were upgraded to a deluxe room. The rooms are far larger than one would expect for Europe and the bathrooms are AMAZING. The continental breakfast included hot as well as cold choices, and all the cappuccini you could drink. My only complaint ... we couldn't stay longer!!!

this hôtel is a very good adress in FIRENZE. his location near the touristic and historic center of town ( 5 min)is marvellous for the street is quiet. The problem of all the hôtels in Firenze, is parking. For this hôtel price for a night is 25 € + 5€ each time you must use a groom paid for go and back between hôtel and parking. When you know it, it's better to park your car outside center (along the circular road)at 15 min footing.(gratuit during the night)

My husband and I stayed here on a stopover from north to south italy. Located within walking distance to the Uffizi gallery and Academia. Does not have parking and had to pay 30 Eus extra to have the car parked elsewhere. I did not expect that. Car noises were heard all night, it is right on a main street. It is just like in the pictures. Do not expect a personal hotel experience, it is a large, luxury chain like a Hilton.

Excellently located on a quiet street, an easy walk from the train/bus terminus. Lavishly decorated interior, perhaps a little too many mirrors, but very bright and clean. My room was large and very well lit. The lovely big bathroom had a heated towel rail and a full sized bath tub, although I could have done without the mirror on the ceiling. Excellent breakfast buffet, including a delicious concoction that tasted like a marriage of creme caramel and apple pie, served in a comfortable dining room decorated like a Chinese bordello. Helpful and friendly staff were the icing on the cake.

Great location, especially if arriving in Florence by train, and in easy walking distant of all major places of interest. Friendly, competant staff and comfortable, well equipped bedrooms. I only stayed one night at the Albani Firenze. I liked it and I'd stay there again should I have the opportunity to visit Florence again. Elisbeta and the 2 Chiaras were great helps at the desk. Filipo and Francesco in the restaurant made our breakfasts and two dinners wonderful. We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Albani Firenze. We have only one issue: Because it was already October, the air-conditioning was turned off; however, it was unseasonably warm and the room got uncomfortably warm unless the windows were left open. They should have recognized that the airconditioning was one of the reasons we and, we are sure, others selected this hotel. They should have turned it back on until the temperature moderated. On balance, we enthusiasticly recommend this hotel. We would stay here again.

This hotel was very luxurious, in the most traditional and stately way possible. We've never had such good value for money. The staff were attentive: the decor was beautiful, in a very fin-de-siecle way; the veiw was negligible, but the location was very convenient; the breakfast was excellent. We were very near some excellent shooping streets, and it was a very short walk to the Duomo. A real find.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in, and I travel a lot. It's expensive, but the room we had was spacious--even had a couch and foyer! An all-marble bath--with a separate tub and shower--was great. The staff was helpful and welcoming, and the location can't be beat--just a block from the train station. They also have a very nice evening turn-down service where they come in (if you're away) and prepare the room for nighttime--closing shutters, drawing curtains, etc.

This hotel is a fabulous find in Florence. Excellent value for money. Its a 3 star hotel with 4 star facilities and service. We travelled with our 2 year old daughter and found it to be just right. All the perks of a swanky hotel without the exhorbitant price tag. The hotel is walking distance from train station, but tucked away on a side street in a gated property - so you'd never know it was so close to the station. The rooms are simply elegant and comfortable, with high quality linens and toiletries. We had one of 4 rooms in the hotel that have spacious private terraces (ours overlooked the Duomo) - request them if you can. The hotel has a small landscaped garden and a peaceful common terrace for drinks or dining. Services included a very substancial breakfast buffet, internet access and full room service. The hotel is extremely central - walking distance from anything you might want to see in Florence. We are delighted to have discovered Hotel Albani Firenze and will stay here again when we return to Florence.

Most of the employees spoke English and were very helpful. The room was beautiful and huge by european standards. Very easy to find and close to the train station. Breakfast had eggs and bacon along with fruit, yogurt, all the normal european breakfast items. Albani Firenze also has a beautiful little courtyard to sit and relax and talk or read a book for a quiet little rest from all the sites. I will stay again.

We had only planned on one night at the Hotel Albani Firenze but ended up adding on another night because it was such a nice place. If you are arriving at the main train station (SMN) the Albani is one street over, which is great if you are carrying any luggage. Our room was ready for an early check in, and the staff at the front desk were very welcoming and helpful. A person that went above and beyond for us was Laura (hopefully spelled correctly), when we asked about the Uffizi and the Acadamia reservation policies she picked up the phone and dialed. In a matter of minutes she had made our reservations for us gave us a map of the city and some hints on other things to see in Florence. Our room was pretty amazing, it was by far the largest one that we had for our trip. The in-room service was wonderful, a turn down service in the afternoon along with setting out complimentary slippers by the side of the bed was a nice touch. If you are going to the Uffizi and the Acadamia, I highly reccomend making a reservation. There is an additional 3 Euro charge but the time that you save not standing in line at the Uffizi is worth it. The Uffizi line alone was at least an hour wait at 9am. The walk down to the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio was about 20 minutes, but the Duomo was much closer maybe 5 to 10 minutes at the most. There is an open air market near San Lorenzo which is a great place to find some good shopping, all of the merchants speak English and be ready to make deals. As far as restaurants go, the hotel has one downstairs from the lobby, it looked very nice although we didn't eat there during our stay. We found a true gem about a five minute walk away(three blocks), near the Medici Chapel. The name is Trattoria Antellesi at #9(red) Via Faenza. It was a pleasure to dine there, the menu had such variety, and the wine list had some very well thought out choices from the region. We will try to stay here again when we return to Florence.

A very luxiourous stay without having to pay an extortionate amount of money, which you would have to in Florence (not to say the room was cheap, though). The Albani is a modern and beautiful hotel. The accomodations and price are excellent and it is in an ideal location. The staff at hotel were very friendly and helpful. Our stay was 5 nights from a Friday. We arrived before lunch and were able to check in - excellent. However owing to a technical difficulty with the plumbing (no water) whilst we were out, we had to change rooms on our return on Friday evening. This was a minor inconvenience as the second room we were allocated was bigger (if a little more noisy). The hotel brochure advertises a fitness room. This was not available in February 2005. The hotel satff explained that the fitness facility would be available soon.
