The only drawback of this wonderful hotel, besides the fact that it is not in a good neibourghood, is that it lacks extra pillows in the room.

I often visit Italy and I love it very much but I am usually disappointed with the relationship between price and offered quality....except in this case.Pleasant surprise indeed. Everything was very professional, on the real level of four points hotel demands.

The hotel lived up to it's photo's, very clean and pleasant. The area is a block from the Arno but the immediate surroundings were not very pleasant. The room was beautiful, very clean, excellent serivce. But, the bed felt like you were sleeping on a stone slab. We had to ask for extra pillows to sleep on top so we could get a decent night sleep.

The location is excellent to and frrom train station, 5 min. walk and when you then spend time in the city everything is in very close walking distance from the hotel. We saw all and did not spend a dime on transport.

The hotel is very convenient to the main train station. The rooms were very nice (bathroom was small though) and the included breakfast was very good. The hotel is within walking distance of all the main attractions (just wear comfortable shoes) We took the train to Pisa for the day (cost was about $10 p/p round trip.) To go in the tower cost about $22 p/p and you may have to wait a few hours to get in.

The photos of the double room don't look so good. In reality the room is better. It's a very nice hotel. It offers free parking which is something very important for someone who travel by car and when parking in Italy is very expensive. It is very close to the historic centre and you can visit all by foot. The stuff was really kind and helpful. The room is very big and clean. The area around the hotel is not so good but it's not something that would bother you. Florence is very quite city. It doesn't provide free internet and it charges 10 euros per hour, which is extremely expensive. It's the highest price we met during our trip in Italy. I would surely recommend it to someone who wants to visit Florence and I would gladly go back again.

This hotel was ideally situated to explore Florence. It was only 5 minutes walk from the train station and walking distance to all the sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The price was good as we booked at a discounted rate. Overall i would recommend the hotel.

The Adriatico is one of the best hotels we have stayed in during our many visits to mainland Europe. The room was excellent, very clean. The staff were fine and the breakfast was also excellent. Full marks to all the staff! The surrounding area is a little shabby but no problem, there are some shops, near the hotel, selling food and drink if you want to avoid Florences' rather pricey restaurants!

The hotel itself was great! Our room was spacious, clean and attractive. The service at the front desk was top-notch. They were very helpful and very professional. The location of the hotel was good for catching tours, trains and buses. Not good for walking to sites, or finding nearby restaurants. But, these were only a quick, inexpensive cab ride away.

Lovely room, well decorated with nice linens, flat screen t.v., new furniture, marble bathroom. Very quiet. Breakfast ok-- good cappucino, yoghurt, cheese, ham etc, but pastries and bread not fresh. Staff at reception not very friendly, but competent. Was very satisfied. Location close to train station. Good restaurant across the street. No matter where you stay, it seems that Florence requires alot of walking, the buses are not very efficient.

Very nice hotel in a good location for the train station and not a difficult walk to the center of town. Uffizi is about 6 blocks. The complimentary breakfast was very generous, compared to the usual fare, with scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, cheeses and quiches. Pictures and descriptions were accurate. A very good restaurant less than a block away. We would consider staying there again.

If you don't mind staying a bit off the beaten path (and after a day of gazing at the treasures of Florence, you might), this is a terrific hotel for the money. We got a spacious, clean, well-equipped room and an above-average b-fast for only 105 Es, one of the best bargains we had in Italy. Staff was friendly. It is close to the train station and the lovely perfume shop at S. Maria Novella, but it's a good 10-minute walk to the city center.

On arrival having booked 2 twins rooms for 4 ladies, one of the rooms has a double bed, because it was late at night they had no one available from housekeeping able to do anything about it, found that odd for a 4 star hotel. They said they would separate the beds next morning, but they never did, we tried to communicate to the housekeeping staff but without success. We didn't bother after that the two ladies were ok about the sharing, but would have preferred separate beds. The rooms themselves were lovely, smallish but nicely decorated, looked new, polished wood floor, lovely bathroom. The room we had was quiet, the other room had some noise from the street, but that is only to be expected. All the staff were helpful except the older man of the two on reception when we got there, he was miserable. We were not very impressed with the breakfast, once they were out of something, like the fresh fruit salad, they was no more brought out. One day the scrambled eggs were cold. The location was good for the station we took a trip to Siena on the train one day, and once we found our way around florence, we found the most direct route to get to the centre, think if i stayed in florence again would stay more in the centre though. We found a great little restaurant around the corner from the hotel, i think the street was via palazuolo. We had a 3 course meal with wine and beer for 4 people for 62 euros, it was so cheap and really excellent food, there were about 4 choices for each course. To finish we had his grandmother's homemade tart which was delicious. Two of us had rabbit stew, one had liver, and the other had an asparagus risotto, we all had pasta to start with which was excellent. It was the best meal we had all holiday.

Unwelcoming staff with poor manners especially at the reception. Staff at the breakfast room was quit nice. The room described as "suite" was actually a small triple with a small 3rd bed not able to support a 1.90 male occupant. Bad air-conditioning system. Otherwise the room was very clean. Quite good common areas. Breakfast offered was quite good.

We found our room to be gloomy & unwelcoming. The extra bed (for the third person in the room) was very small & uncomfortable. Breakfast was awful - dry bread items & unpleasant eggs/meat. The staff (except for one lady in the front desk) were not friendly.

This was our first trip to Florence so we wanted to stay in a hotel that was close to everything, especially the train station. The Adriatico was perfect for a first time visit. It was accessible to all the major tourist sites plus many fine restaurants and trattorias. The rooms were well maintained and for the most part very quiet. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and had quite a considerable selection of breakfast items. The front desk staff were very helpful when we wanted to book reservations and tours. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.
