We couldn't stay in this hotel, 'cause the room was ruined by the rain while we were on our way to the Florence. Anyway the hotel staff has offered us a great place to stay nearby. Can't say anything about the hotel itself, but the staff is great and very friendly. Thanks!

First trip to Florence, but this was a great location from which to experience this exciting city. Able to walk to nearly all city locations easily. Plenty of activity nearby -- including a lovely marketplace featuring local craftspeople and fresh fruits/foods. The included continental breakfast was the perfect way to start our days -- including an outdoor balcony to drink in the city energy and morning air. Lulled to sleep at night by nearby church bells and some urban sounds. Would definitely stay here again. Great location and value!

This little hotel has a very convenient location close to all important attractions. We could see the Duomo from our window. It was clean and comfortable in every respect with an attractive, well-equipped bathroom and air conditioning. The breakfast service on the terrace was especially enjoyable. Most of the staff spoke English and everyone was friendly and helpful. We would go back again without any hesitation. The Delle Arti made our first visit to Italy a pleasure.

A small hotel with an excellent location and extremely friendly management. Mario and his staff makes you feel like home. Not only will provide you with accurate information on touring the city, but they also will work out arrangements promptly and kindly. It is like meeting old friends again. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is served on a lovely terrace on fourth floor instead of a basement as we have usually found on some other small hotels.

This was my first trip to Florence, but my sister's second, and she chose the location close to the Duomo since we didn't have a lot of time in Florence and therefore didn't want to spend our time commuting to the sites. The hotel is ideally located -- a 2 min walk to L'Academia and the Duomo, and a 10 min walk to the Uffizi. The rooms are clean, large, and charming. Massimo, Mario, Dennis and Julia (staff) are warm, welcoming, full of helpful suggestions, and always ready to assist with arranging dinner reservations, gallery reservations or making other suggestions to enhance your stay. One of our favorite parts aside from the location was the charming roof deck where breakfast was served and that was available for an afternoon escape from the bustle of the city. The noise level of the hotel is good given its city location. The only negative I have is that the driving directions to the hotel on the venere website are wrong -- the street that it is located on is one-way in the OPPOSITE direction than that which is listed on the venere directions. Beware of this, as two of us drove the wrong way down this street. Some special items about the neighborhood include the Museo di San Marco, which is one block past L'Academia and worth a visit. It is a 14th century monestary, and very interesting. We also had the pleasure of visiting a festival in Piazza SS Annunziata one block from the hotel (between L'Academia and Museo di San Marco), and a market in the same Piazza on Saturday afternoon. If you want to be close to the Duomo, this is the place to stay!

This was a charming little hotel. Very clean. The only drawback is that there was not a separate shower stall in the bathroom (just a drain in the floor). This does not allow for two people to get ready for the day's venture in Florence. We would probably return to this location if we knew that the bathroom/shower situation was more like those in American hotels. Nonetheless, the hotel's location was fairly central to the Town's sights. The staff was very accomodating to one's requests and questions.

This was our first trip to Florence and staying at this hotel was fabulous and convenient. The Duomo was just down the street and the Academie was just around the corner and trattorias were just a brief stroll away. The best and cheapest gelateria was also just down the street. Our room was more than enough room for 3 people and although the hotel has only 9 rooms we rarely saw any of the other guests. The staff were very helpful and accessible. This was a very good deal (if you book it ahead properly) for all of the benefits.

I loved this hotel. This hotel was recommended to me by a friend and I was completely happy here. This is a small hotel with a great location. They had live music down the street at the piazza. My room was clean and the facilities were updated.
