Hotel Mach 2 Rome Airport - Fiumicino

We were disappointed in the overall appearance of the common areas and the walls and floors of our room all of which were stained and unsightly. The food at the restaurant was good and the staff friendly.

Almost everything was fine, especially the shuttle service to and from the airport. However, the hotel wanted to charge 6 euros for going on the internet on your own computer for a half hour. That is unheard of!!!!

The hotel met our needs as a place to sleep before we caught an early morning flight. We were disappointed that an airport hotel didn't have access to a free computer that we could use to check in for our flight. The free parking was great and we had some nice late night good-bye-to-Italy pizza at a restaurant around the corner.

A useful small hotel. The adjacent restauarnt was good. The only draw back is that the advertsed shittle service only operates at 20min intervals in the morning rush hours. At other times it is irratic and the pick place at the airportv is unclear

Excellent Location for Rome Airport Layovers. Short walk to Port area where there are a good variety of Restaurants. Only down side shower stalls are small and I'm a big guy.

Like many others, I was looking for a location close to the airport to stay in for my last night in Italy prior to an early morning flight. Mach 2 serves that purpose admirably. The hotel was comfortable, offered the services you need for a short business stay. I was pleased to have a coffee-maker/kettle in the room, which compensated for my needing to leave prior to breakfast. As a result I did not get to try the breakfast which was included in the price. One suggestion to the hotel would be to start serving breakfast prior to the departure of the first shuttle to the airport. On my way to the hotel I had not been able to figure out how to find the shuttle to the hotel from the airport, this information should be on the website. I would stay here again in similar circumstances.

Very much suitable for transit travellers through Rome airport.The room size and cleanliness is excellent, batheoom is good and breakfast is excellent.The shuttle bus is a problem as it needs reservation and its timing with Rome (Temini station) is not frequent enough. I forgot my Jacket in the room and I asked them to send it by Post parcell and I pay by Credit but they insist that I arrange to send Courier to them which may be very expensive

This was my fifth visit to Hotel Mach2.

This is a hotel, near the Rome airport, where travelers stay when they are flying. It is VERY convenient, especially if you are returning a car just before the flight. They also offer a shuttle to the airport or to ancient Rome. I thought the shuttle was expensive but certainly cheaper than renting the car. We were looking for a reasonably nice, inexpensive room for the night before we flew home and this what perfect. Airplanes do fly over...but that comes with the territory of airport convenience.

The service offered was poor and the rooms were filthy. The room smelled of smoking. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

When we arrived the lady at the desk almost did not give us the rate we had rented the room for on the Venere web site, but since i had the print-out she could not argue with that. she really wanted another 30 E, which would really have been a bad price for the room, which, while fine, was not spacious. and had the electric generator continued outside all night long, that could have been a real bummer, but fortunately it went off early enough. We thoroughly enjoyed their restaurant (the only one in the area) as did quite a few other guests and locals. no nearby grocery stores to get parmigiano before leaving.

We chose the site due to proximity to the airport and the excellent price quoted on this site. However, the directions were horrible! It took us an extra 30-45 minutes to finally locate the property. Once there, however, all was well. The room was excellent and not terribly noisy despite being so close to the airport. The staff was very helpful and most spoke English except for one girl (to whom I spoke Italian). The restaurant food was good but a tad overpriced; the female server was friendly, the male servers less so. (However, the more Italian we spoke, the more they warmed up.) I would not recommend this location for families for children, but it is quite suitable for others.

Excellent location and hotel for an early morning flight. Our room was quiet and clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Will definitely use this hotel again.

The room was tiny, the bathroom was smelly (sewer smell), and the shower wall was moldy and just barely large enough to stand in. The reception accepted a bribe from the taxi driver to convince me to overpay for the fare from the airport to the hotel. They did not follow through with reserving the shuttle. The waiter at dinner was surly. The overall experience was unacceptable, in sharp contrast to the rest of our trip at many different hotels in Italy for our 3 week vacation, including those at same price level and # of stars. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Worn out hotel. Good for a night's stay.

Stayed for three nights while waiting to fly home. Location is handy to airport but somewhat inconvenient for trip into Rome. Hotel should provide maps or better instructions for locating shuttle bus pick-up locations in Rome and at airport. This was a major source of annoyance as we spent 30 minutes waiting at the wrong stop. A map of Fiumicino showing location of restaurants, banks, ATM locations etc. should be available, also some brochures on places to go and see in the surrounding area. Breakfast buffet exceeded expectations.

This is a good hotel if you are wanting to stay near FCO airport. Very clean, good bathrooms, helpful. A 10 minute drive to FCO. Be careful, it is close and easy to find from the airport, but a little hard to return to the airport as you take a different route

This was a bait & switch. We booked and were confirmed a double bed room in the Mach 2, which looked relatively attractive. They over-book Mach 2 and moved us to their related property Cancelli Rossi. CR is basically a dormitory with only child sized single beds and no facilities. Our last night in Italy and extremely disappointed.

I chose this hotel because of it's strategic location for Fiumicino Airport and the Rome Fairgrounds. There was a good shuttle service to and from the Fairgrounds where I had to work. The restaurant has a pleasant modern feel and serves excellent food at competitive prices. The room was clean and had all the necessary comforts. I would certainly return to Hotel Mach 2 and recommend it to my friends and work colleagues.

We are a family with 3 children and the hotel was very nice. The attached restaurant was not family friendly at all however.
