Hotel Del Mare - Fiumicino

Comfortable location for our short stay.

Hotel del Mare in Fiumicino was an excellent hotel. The facility was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The view of the MEditerranean sea was amazing and the rooftop terrace was beautiful ! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here !!!

Modern, clean, well-appointed rooms convenient to the sea and to the airport. Staff very friendly and spoke excellent English. Breakfast included fruit, pastries, cereal ... as well as real cappuccino. Our room had a terrace with a wonderful view of the seashore. Recommend highly. American visitors note that Italian hotels tend not to provide a clock or a washcloth.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. The staff were knowledgable and approachable. The only negative was the noise, i.e. we could hear people talking in the rooms next door to us.

Hotel was a little hard to find the first time but well worth the effort. The charm of this unique hotel was off the scale and the staff made every effort to make our stay in this romantic city most memorable. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel, friendly and competent staff, clean room. Shower needs a curtain, drainage is insufficient to prevent water from spreading all over the bathroom floor. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was good, included cereal, juice and the usual rolls. Pleasant location by the water. About 15 minutes to the airport, so good place to stay if you are catching an early flight. Front desk will book taxi in advance. It's cheaper than asking the hotel to pick you up.

I found the Staff sooooooooo helpfull , friendly and accomodating , as I asked to check in much much earlier than the time stated , they went out of their way to please me, I would have no hesitating in booking again

The hotel is right across the road from the beach so nice location if you want to relax on the water. It is about a 15 minute walk into town but there are restaurants and bars nearby. The room was very big and comfortable. I have stayed at hotels in Lido di Ostia and by the port in town but like this location better. The taxi rates to Ostia are quite a bit more than to Fiumcino. The hotel arranged a transfer to the airport which cost 20 euro. I will stay here in the future when coming and going from the the Rome airport.

We were delighted to wake up in the morning and find the facilities were so good, the room and bathroom were first class. When we went to breakfast we were not expected and the staff member threw a wobbly ( I think about this and other circumstances of her work) she shouted for at least 20 minutes. I would not have allowed this behaviour in front of guests and would have removed her to an office until she calmed. The room staff chose to clean our room while we were on the sun terrace! We arived at the hotel at 10pm and left at 11.30am the following morning!! It could have been left for an hour! One of the housekeeping team was sitting on our bed using the telephone when I went in for my sunglasses. Staff behaviour needs firm management and this lovely hotel will be spoiled unless they get it. The view over the sea is lovely and yes it is in the flight path so there are planes going over a lot - but that is why we were there! - the hotel is a short taxi ride to the airport terminal. The beaches in front of the hotel were spoiled by litter,the tractor having spread the litter!!! although there were plenty of places to spread a towel and relax, with protected swimming areas to enjoy

Staff kind and helpfull but very dirty rooms, expecially the bathroom. Price is ok if the room has been dited up properly.

Small beach town, beach right across street, can walk to restaurants and church. About 15 min from airport.

The hotel is a perfectly adequate 3 stars. The room was rather small, but perfectly adequate for an overnight, with a small balcony. The bathroom with shower was a good size, brand new, very clean and bright. We were on the second floor with a partial view of the beach, but a few steps from a magnificent terrace overlooking the main road and the beach across from it. Plenty of restaurants in the neighborhood. Breakfast is included, the food is nice and fresh. The breakfast room is large and comfortable. You can take your computer there and connect to the wireless Internet which is available in all public areas (not in the rooms). If you're looking for a place where to spend the night, or a couple of nights, between flights, this is a good place in an excellent location just a few minutes in taxi from the airport of Fiumicino.

Very nice hotel less than a year old. However, no bar service in the evening, and no mini-bar in the room. Still a few construction details that need to be finished.

Great staff! Lovely updated modern hotel across the street from the beach in a middle class residential neighborhood. Many beach front structures are in need of renovation and not much to choose from as far as restaurants,shopping, etc. If you are looking to spend alot of time at the beach, this place is perfect! Huge balcony on our room - great value for the price! Very close to FCO airport also!

The seaside is not beautiful, the hotel is new and pleasant, but one of our rooms smell tobacco, and on friday night there was a animation at the restaurant just near the hotel.Its near the airport and great localisation to take your flight in the morning. That's all
