Near the airport (5 minutes, 15 Euro by taxi. In the airport take the Fumiciono taxies across the road and not the taxies near the exit). Shuttle on the way back to airport is very convenient. Rooms are a bit small but very clean

Nice Hotel, very close to Airport. Great for one night stop over, not a place to base your vacation out of. Clerk forgot my wake up call, otherwise a Great experience

Your basic hotel for early morning flight. Set back from the road, bit tricky to find. Reception is in the back, photos fancier than real life. Room was clean, bath was clean and small, not recommended for extra large people. Airplane noise was minimal, thermostat didn't want you to adjust it. You have to tell them if you have more than one device to hook to the internet at once, 7 euros a day.

First time in Italy that I've ever been in a generic corporate hotel. The service was good, the room was comfortable if somewhat sterile, and the surroundings nonexistent. Proximity to FCO is the point of the whole place, of course. Seemes geared towards corporate travelers.

I dont know why people are bashing this hotel. Me and my friends stayed there over night because we had flights the next morning and it was perfect. The only thing i have to say is the restaurant was too expensive, there was a really good chinese food place one block down. A good change after 5 weeks of italian food. But everything was perfect shuttle ride was on time, room was quiet, comfortable beds, etc. Would definitely book again.

This is simply a convenience hotel for someone needing an overnight place that's close to the Rome airport. The hotel had new carpeting and our room felt almost like an American mainstream room. Very clean. The staff was variable, with a curt experience on one shift and a friendly one on another. The curt experience was where the staff was reasonably helpful and forthcoming with information but not making much of an effort beyond that. Our last stop was in Florence but had an early flight from Rome, so we took the train to Termini, then the train to the airport, then planned a quick hop to Cancelli Rossi via taxi or their shuttle. Unfortunately, the taxis were on strike that day but when we tried to reach the hotel by phone, the automated system ("Press 2 to speak with Cancelli Rossi") would not accept input so we could not request their shuttle. Instead, we had to hire a door-to-door service at considerably higher cost than the 6 euro/person rate the hotel shuttle charges. When we got to the hotel, we were told they were having problems with the phones, but there was no apology for that or an offer to offset any of the additional cost we bore because some of their own basic services weren't working. Internet service is very expensive relative to the other hotels we were at, but we purchased it anyway. The network didn't reach our room and the hotel refunded the cost. While there are a couple of small casual eateries nearby, the immediate area is more industrial so we took a 15-minute walk to get into the small town center where we found a nice restaurant and saw several others. After staying at welcoming and service-oriented hotels in downtown Rome, Florence, and Venice, this hotel lacks that human touch. But if all you need is a very clean and comfortable room for an early flight, this will serve well. If we stay again, it would be with that expectation and not anticipating much personal service.

Our only real complaint was that the bathroom was very small. Also, the area where the hotel is located is a little seedy.

Good hotel for close to airport 5 min. $6.00 Euru @.Not much around hotel. Excellent resturant around the corner.or down the street about 1/2kilm. 4 kilometers by city bus for 1.50 euro. to Italys largest mall very clean modern, on 3 levels, huge.very impressive. Rooms have no balconys, but windows open, not much of a view, just buildings & small garden area. Shuttle to rome is expensive. 24 euros each one way.

The hotel was difficult to see because the sign on the main road is so small and then the directions did not make it clear that the hotel is back behind other buildings. But we found you!

They have finished the upgrading of all rooms and it is a wonderful change! All rooms very clean with larger bathrooms that have been reconfigured. The front desk staff was very accommodating and allowed us to use their computer behind the checkin desk to check in online the evening prior to departure -as we did not have our own laptops. I stay at this hotel once or twice each year and it just keeps getting better! Drinks and dining at Mach II is worth the stop!

Excellent. This was a great place to stay before our early AM flight. Pickup and delivery to the airport was very very good. Of all the places near to Fiumicino I have stayed this was by far the best. Well worth the money. Close to the airport and very pleasant staff.

Nice for an earlier flight, although the transfer service does not start early. You have to take a taxi. Only, if your flight is after 9 am, you will enjoy breakfast. Very nice room, and a great bathroom. Wifi and internet service available, but too expensive.

The quality of the bathroom is first rate. The television is multi-lingual. The sound insulation is good, but aircraft take-offs are still audible.

The restaurant at the adjoining hotel was excellent - a really nice dinner the night before leaving and excellent service. Also an excellent breakfast buffet. The hotel surroundings were not very inspiring, but I did not expect them to be.

I found the accommodations very satisfactory. I loved that they offered various types of pillows for those who prefer soft, hard, fat or thin, they had them. I was able to walk to a nearby restaurant(Ristorante De La Ville) for a wonderful dinner. Go to the main road and turn left. Pass the pizzerias and take a left on a side street. It was WONDERFUL. I would stay there again.

We were most interested in staying close to the airport because of an early flight and this hotel is fine. The hotel is undergoing restoration and our room was nice but the bathroom was a tight fit. We were unhappy with espresso and cappucino from a machine where you press a button to get it inside of the real thing!

Taxi from airport to hotel should only be $15 at most (only a couple minutes)-taxi drivers will rip you off. Hotel charges $6 per person for shuttle to airport. Also charge for internet-not free. Basically good room and good breakfast included. Restaurant a little pricey but there are other options close by.

Good hotel for early flight. Only 10 to 15 minute shuttle to airport. Rooms were clean and adequate for one night stay before leaving Rome. Explanation of shuttle service, frequency and payment could use improvement.

Our reception by the handsome young man at the desk was outstanding and set the bar for the rest of our stay. Thank you! Rooms were immaculate, spacious and very reasonable. Bathrooms were modern (brand new -- granite, big, fancy showerheads!) -- lovely basins! -- great lighting! Tv's have English channels -- speakers in bathrooms too! Sister hotel (Mach 2) provided a sumptuous breakfast including scrambled eggs (delicious) - orange juice, assorted coffees (American, cappucinco) -- all included! Dinner at restaurant offered a comprehensive menu and was delicious (try the veal! with artichoke sauce!) Waiter/maitre d'/waitress in morning extremely friendly, courteous and welcoming. Molto grazie!

The Cancelli Rossi is in the midst of upgrading and improving their rooms. The rooms on the 2nd floor have been finished with updated bathroom and shower amenities - the rooms on the 1st floor not quite finished. This hotel is a consistently good value and close proximity to the airport and the waterfront. Dinner at the Mach II sister property is always wonderful - slightly expensive.

This hotel is not indicated from the highway. It was only after phoning that we were told it was in the same parking lot as another hotel. There was no breakfast. The shuttle cost 6 euros each. There was not a policy to print out a boarding pass. Because the hallway was tile floor, we heard suitcases rolling from 5 AM on.

The Front Desk personnel are normally busy on the phone or forget to acknowledge your arrival. However, the rooms are always very clean and quiet. The breakfast that is included in the price doesn't start until 7AM, which is one hour past when one would need to depart for early AM flights out of Rome. Accommodations should be made for early departures. I stay at this hotel at least twice each year due to proximity to the airport. Still a good value - but could be better!

One stays at the Hotel Cancelli Rossi because of its proximity to Fiumicino Airport. They offer a shuttle beginning at 4p in the afternoon. (It does not run all night so call the hotel to find out what time they stop the shuttle in the evening.) They begin delivering people to the airport at 6a. When I told them my flight was at 8a, they actually offered to come a bit earlier because they were concerned I would not have enought time to check in. The shuttle costs 6 euros each way. You could take a private taxi for about 15-17 euros, but I think you could easily be taken on a "special route" that could cost a lot more. No offense to Italians or taxi drivers, (I am of Italian descent and proud of it!)but this is reality. Taking the shuttle takes away the stress of possibly being ripped off. The price per night of 110 euros is high but they have the unique feature of proximity to the airport. You could stay in a higher priced hotel right on the airport property but it would cost twice as much.

You get what you pay for. Advertised $5 Shuttle, but couldn't reach hotel to request shuttle (on hold forever at international cell rates), finally got taxi which cost $25.00 for 5 minute ride); bed was horrible (soft and swayed in the middle and the sheets where clean, but damp), walls paper thin; Taxi was 20 minutes late to take us to the airport for our 6 AM flight; cab drivers and hotel got in big fight over being late, making us even later. Bad experience, suggest you try a different hotel.

Shuttle service to the airport was very poor, our flight was at 06:45 am. the shuttle service started at 06:30 am. I am sure that we were not the only people with an early morning flight. When we expressed this concern to the desk staff, they laughed at us. We would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

I stayed at the night at Hotel Cancelli Rossi because I had to leave from Fiumicino Airport with a very early flight the following morning. I found the hotel very welcoming and my room was clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant has a pleasant modern feel and serves good food at competitive prices. There is hotel shuttle service for the airport which made me feel happier than calling a taxi. The staff was polite and very helpful. I would certainly return.

As I was English speaking and traveling alone I needed to call the hotel twice to try to find out how to find the shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I arrived at the airport by train. The hotel staff were not as helpful as I would have liked to find the shuttle. I had a hard time understanding where I was to go. Since the hotel shuttle does not operate after 5:30 p.m. and I had arrived after 5:00 p.m time was of the essence.
