We booked Hotel Roma b/c it promised a shuttle service. When we arrived and called, we were told that the driver was unavailable and we'd have to take a taxi, which would cost Eur18-20. Non-refundable. The taxi cost Eur25, "b/c you have luggage" (are there many airport hotel users without luggage?) Your chances of arriving at a time when driver is available are 8/24 = 1/3. Location is good, town better than expected. Clenliness: so-so.

I wouldn’t stay here again. I wasn't told the shuttle service is limited to day time only, which is not when I needed it (and I presume this is the case for many people), and the only reason I stayed here. They advertised a free shuttle service; but it's limited to daytime. And I didn’t see any information about the hours when it operates: I understand it doesn’t operate early in the morning and stops at 8pm, so it didn’t work for me. I found it also quite noisy and if you have only a few hours to sleep it might be a problem. (If it’s early in the morning, or after 8pm, factor in approx. 20 Euros for the short taxi ride to the airport)

The hotel was actually nicer than I had expected based on the web reviews and photos. It is in a quiet neighborhood, has an elevator, was clean and the staff was helpful. The room was comfortable. The only negative was that the breakfast was pretty skimpy compared to the other hotels we stayed at. There were no restaurants right nearby but a ten minute walk to the other side of the river offered a number of excellent eateries at reasonable prices.

One problem was the directions from the front desk for my rental car drop-off at Leonardo di Vinci aeroporto. The directions given were incomplete. Fortunately I drove to the airport the night before leaving in order to verify the route and the drop off location for the rental. You will not see overhead signs for rental car return...instead you will see signs for covered parking which is where the AVIS and other rental car returns are located. You must look carefully or you will miss the garage entrance for the rental car return.

Me gustó que esta muy cerca del aeropuerto, pero esta en un lugar muy solo. Tal vez fué el día que estuve ahi, pero sentí que estaba en el fin del mundo. Los cuartos están muy bien, amplios y limpios.

Excellent hotel with one (big) drawback. I booked this hotel because it had a free shuttle. On the booking page i put in my flight arrival details. I arrived about 2230, rang the hotel and wa stold shuttle only operates 0700-2000. No where is that info provided. "How do i get to the hotel then"? Taxi was the answer at a cost of €30 for the short 10 min drive, very expensive, add that €30 to the hotel cost and its getting quiet expensive, just very annoyed not told in advance so beware if you arrive after 2000 hrs!

One inaccuracy right off the top: the information on Venere.com indicates that, while not included, shuttle service to/from the Rome city center is available for 12 Euros per person. When I called, however, I was told this was not the case. Also be aware that the wireless Internet, while free, is only available by going into the "business center" in the basement and that there is no Internet in the rooms themselves. The front desk clerk was, to put it nicely, brusque and, when a breaker flipped in my room rendering the electronic door lock and lights inoperable, she seemed to imply that this was somehow my fault as a result of plugging in the charger for my mini laptop (which, at 30W, hardly sucks down the power... I'd hate to see what would have happened had I run the blowdryer). One bright spot to my visit - while the power was out in my room, I walked back towards Fiumicino, crossed a narrow footbridge over a canal, turned left, and found a great seafood restaurant called Ristorante Zi Pina... highly recommended. Try the baby octopi in broth and the gnocchi with shrimp and zucchini blossoms. In retrospect, based on the advice of the cab driver who ended up driving me to the hotel, I would stay at Mach 2 next time, as it's closer to the airport and is about the same price (even if it doesn't include a free shuttle to/from the airport).

Free airport shuttle only in the morning. Otherwise you will have to take a taxi for another 15 euros. No shuttle to Rome you must take a taxi back to the airport than take a train! No flat screen TVs and internet only in breakfast room or basement.

We arrived at the Rome Airport on a Sunday after 5pm. The hotel does not have airport shuttle service after 5PM on Sundays ("Driver's day off"") Cost us 27 euros to cab to the hotel. The hotel only comp'd us for 15 euro. Hotel was great but an airport hotel without 24hr shuttle service is a problem. Venere should have posted that info. On the plus side, the hotel dining was fabulous. One of the best meals we had in Rome.

Hotel is hard to find. Please look for specific hotel website for direction for the cab. It is only known as "Hotel Roma". Area around hotel is very residential so don't expect much here. Hotel not the mose updated, or clean but hotel serves it's purpose for 1 night before we headed home. Central air is not very good. Had to leave my door open to ghe general hallway for about 1 hour before the room cooled down. Hotel shuttle service only available from 7am to about 3 pm..please beware!

We came in late to sleep and leave for the Rome airport early. It was clean and adequate for that purpose. When we arrived at the Rome airport, we could not find the shuttle to the hotel and then discovered we were too late for the shuttle service and had to take a taxi. The taxi had a hard time finding the hotel. The shuttle was their driver and van and he was ready at our requested time to leave the next morning. The pictures imply a large hotel. It seemed fairly small to us. It was not apparent that we had to call them to get the shuttle to pick us up from the airport.

The staff were competent and helpful, and organised airport shuttles although we were the only passengers. (We made a 'phone call from the airport.) The restaurant was excellent and served fish virtually straight from the sea.

We spent few hours at the hotel. We arrived at 9:30 pm and went out next day a 7:00 am. Did not use the restauant. Breakfast is served from 7 am, however they made an exception so that we could take the shuttle a 7, and served us few minutes before. The few services we requested and received were very good. Advertisements should clarify that shuttle is not serviced at night. We arrived at the airport at 9 pm and used a taxi (14 euros, the taximeter mark plus a couple more for the luggage). In brieff we are very satisfied with the hotel. Due to its location ideal for a short time for changing airplantes, probably not for staying longer longer.

The hotel is very nice. We stopped in Fiumicino simply because we had a long flight and we decided to take a 24 hours break. Still, this little town has a lovely promenade along the river and some fine Italian restaurants. The hotel is cute and definitely comfortable. The main problem is the employees. They are totally clueless: the girl at the office had no idea on how to operate the safe in the room. Worst yet, we waited a long time for the hotel bus, just to discover that it was waiting for us at the wrong place. The English level of the employees is poor. I recommend this hotel to people who are willing to tolerate the low level of service that is not uncommon in Italy.

You don't get much for your money but that is typical of Rome. Hotel itself was fine but area is run-down. Hope you like seafood because that is what's most on the menu! Get good directions, hotel is a little hard to find. Convenient to airport but shuttle doesn't start until 7am so plan for that.

Cozy, small hotel, clean, room a little small but adequate. Nice location in residential area, quiet. You can walk to the beach. Many restaurants in the area.Good prices.Best of all, transporation from and to the airport is included. A big plus.Staff pleasant enough.English is spoken.Continental breakfast is included. They also have a few dining rooms, a little expensive. It's a great hotel for one or two nights if you want to be near the airport. We would definitely stay there again.

A perfect place to spend the night before a morning flight back to the US. Very helpful staff directed us to a good seafood restaurant on the small port just minutes away on foot. Free airport shuttle was right on time. We booked a three for ourselves and our teenage daughter, and she had a whole second floor bedroom with staircase right in the main bedroom. Very restful and quiet ( and cool) after he heat of Rome. A little hard to find, gas station attendant gave perfect directions ( with drawing ! )

The rooms, hotel and location were perfect, however we had an early morning flight and had to use a cab to get to the airport instead of the shuttle. That was an additional 60 euro (3 cabs) which was supposed to have been included in the price of the room.

Average business traveler that doesn't need a media room. A good nights sleep before taking a early flight is the client. The room was fine...the private, safe parking was the best attribute to this hotel. signs to the airport were non-existent to the point that we were late getting there, so I would definitely get specific directions instead of "just follow the signs" and give yourself plenty of time. The staff was very helpful in suggesting places close by for dinner. The best was the local pizza place a block away with a few tables outdoors. Access to the internet was another big plus, free and in the lobby. I didn't take the shuttle this time but i was able to in the past, arrange an early shuttle service for a reasonable fee.

The relationship between price and quality was not balanced, as the room was quite pricey. The 'free WiFi' was a cable from reception which was used for the plug in the room. The plug was broken, so no Internet. The staff were friendly enough, and the room was clean and quiet but the beds were hard.

We booked this location because of it's advertised location close to the airport and our early departure time the next morning as well as the advertised services - free shuttle, restaurants, etc. Our room was ready on arrival mid-afternoon and we had time to try to see Ostia Antica as recommended by the reception clerk. Although the hotel had no local maps to offer, she tried to assist with some written directions ( in rough English) that we were unsuccessful in following to cross the river and a main highway. We abandoned this effort after an hour and a half and went to the airport to return our rental car and called for the shuttle to pick us up. It took approx 1 hour to arrive, a 2nd phone call and then on the way to the hotel we were treated to a return trip to the airport to pick up a friend of the driver and another guest! Result - a 1 1/2 hour venture for a 10 minute trip. We were also advised that we would not be provided shuttle service in the morning as we were leaving too early for the 7:00 am start of service!! Taxi service was arranged, but at our expense. Finally, we found that neither the high level restaurant nor the pub style bar were operational so we would have to find dinner elsewhere. This entailed a walk of 20 minutes to reach an area with restaurants but we were fortunate to find a fabulous seafood place on our own. We were also leaving too early for the breakfast that is part of the price, a strange circumstance for a hotel ostensibly serving an international airport. Overall, not an unpleasant place to stay, but too expensive for the limited services actually provided.

We only stayed one night before flying out the next morning. The room was very nice for the price. We had a quad. The stairs to the second sleeping area are very narrow and steep. While this was fine for two teenagers, this type of room might not be appropriate for older customers. The restaurant was closed so we only had breakfast. It was adequate. Overall I would recommend this for a few nights stay.

As soon as we entered the room we were greeted with a large puddle of water. The airconditioner had been broken. So we were told to just turn it off (very hot night). And when I looked for an extra pillow in the closet I found a dirty plate covered in food under the pillow! After all that they didnt offer us a new room and only took 10 $ off our extreemely expensive room rate, and the area was very run down, and I did not feel safe at night let alone the day time. Staff was unhelpful.

Hotel is totally false advertising- Beware! The shuttle only runs a few hours a day and we called to confirm it was running the day before but when we called from the airport they did not answer the phone. We eventually had to take a taxi to the hotel. They also say they have a shuttle into Rome for 12E /person but they do not say anywhere that you have to make the reservation 24 hours in advance. Again, had to take a taxi for 40E that was not even a real taxi- we think it was a friend of the front desk person as he was dropping us off on his way into work in the afternoon! Shuttle does not run for really early morning flights to United States so again had to pay for taxi. They also do not have an "internet point" if you do not have your own computer and there are not any internet cafe's in the area. The hotel manager might let you use his laptop but only after 3pm- his arbitrary rule he made up on the spot when I showed him that my reservation said it included free internet access at the "internet point". There is nothing around this hotel as it is in a residential area. We found a good pizza place across the bridge (Sancho) about 8 blocks away. When I called attention to these issues the manager asked if I had booked on Venere.com as he knew the information was not accurate. I would have gladly paid even more to stay closer to the airport and taken the train into the city which is very easy. They have false info listed purposely to get people to stay here. The room was nice, large and clean and the bathroom was modern however, for what we paid for 1 night plus all the taxis I would have stayed at the Airport Hilton for twice the price. We are savvy travelers and use Venere for all of our European reservations- we stayed at 6 other hotels on this 1 month trip and did not have this many issues with any other place.

This is by far one of the worst hotels we've ever stayed in. The place stunk of stale cigarette smoke and was seemingly run by disinterested staff (who were contributing to the cigarette smoke smell). The room was very spacious but was not clean and stunk quite badly of cigarette smoke. We requested a non-smoking room and were told we had one. The shower stall had mold growing inside it and the towels were frayed. The breakfast was an absolute disgrace for a country that prides itself on its excellent food. They actually served processed cheese slices. We will never stay there again and recommend no one stay there either.

We stayed our last night in Italy at this location and found it to be extremely convenient to the Fiumicino Airport. The most fantastic quality about the hotel was the shuttle that picked us up from the airport and brought us to the hotel, and took us to the hotel early the next morning. Carlos, the shuttle driver, was extremely courteous, pleasant to talk with, and helpful. In addition, it was by far the largest room we had during our stay in Italy. The room opened up to a large balcony which was also refreshing. The hotel is not located near restaurants, etc., but we ate in the dining room located in the hotel lobby and had a reasonable dinner. Thanks for a pleasant and convenient ending to our first trip to Italy.

We arrived very early am whilst we had said that we wouldn't be there until late pm but we were immediately shown on our room and made to feel welcome. We were made to feel very welcome and were given very clear directions on how to find the local shops, etc. We walked into town which took about ten minutes, ate at a local fish restaurant which was excellent. We found this hotel to be an great one day stopover if travelling out of Rome airport. We wouldn't want to stay any longer as it is definitely a stopover type hotel. The breakfast was very good and the coffee was excellent. The shuttle service was excellent and we were taken to the airport at the time we requested. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we were to fly out of Rome in the future. Reviews that we had read said that this hotel was noisy due to the air traffic but if the windows are closed you don't hear any noise.

We arrived at the Rome airport on a Sunday afternoon. We booked the hotel because they advertised a shuttle to and from the airport. When we called them, they informed us that their driver does not work on Sunday afternoons and it was up to us to find a way to get to the hotel. We could not find a taxi willing to take us to the hotel - the taxis are only interested in fares going into Rome. No bus seems to run near the hotel either. Eventually we found an "unofficial taxi" willing to take us, but at probably double the usual rate. The hotel did provide a shuttle to the airport the next morning.

I used the hotel on a business trip. Rooms are clean, even if the entrance of my room was attached to other 2 doors. The doors are not "noise-proof", so I could hear any conversation on the phone of my neighbor. Definetely the best part of the hotel is the restaurant, where I tasted the best fish courses in Rome. It's worth to spend a night in the hotel, just to try the restaurant!

Fair price to quality relationship. Reception staff is cold but generally competent. Common areas are well appointed and maintained. Rooms are clean and spacious and include all you would expect in this type of establishment: well-stocked mini-bar, SAT TV with sports, news and multi-lingual programming, balcony etc. Airport shuttle service is somewhat limited but generally adequate. Resturant is a low point -- expensive and mediocre. Breakfast is also below average. Property is generally superior to competitors in the area.

There was no open bar as advertised. No place to get a cup of coffee or tea when we arrived. The restaurant at the hotel was the best meal we had in Italy! We stayed there to be close to the airport. The staff was very pleasant and professional and we got the feeling right away that we could trust them to do what they promised. We called from the airport for shuttle pickup and they were there in 15 minutes, just as they promised on the telephone. The triple room accommodations were not as good for the single woman in our trio as for the couple. She had a private room but it had 2 single sofa beds with thin lumpy mattresses. The room was up a flight of steep, narrow stairs. A positive aspect of the room was that it had a furnished balcony and you could see the ocean in the distance.

The transportation works just fine. I found that I needed to call the hotel upon arrival and get specific instructions as to where and when to get picked up at the airport. The person who answered spoke very good English, which worked for me. The staff at the hotel was friendly, the room, although small, was clean and quiet. I loved the neighborhood and found a place that had some of the best pizza I have ever eaten in town. Award winning pizza, with prize cups, ribbons and metals on display. I have told friends about my satisfaction and will use Venere again. If you use this hotel, ask about the pizza place across the bridge. The photos do not do the hotel justice. It is quite charming with some great eateries nearby. The shuttle from the airport will pick you up outside the terminal, not in the airport meeting spot where you figure you should wait. Also, there is someone at airport arrivals to call the hotel for you to request the shuttle. The room and the rate I was quoted was changed to a lower rate and a larger room upon my arrival as availability had changed since my reservation was made. I would definately stay here again.

Our stay was just for one night, bedroom and bathroom clean and very welcoming after very long trip. Breakfast room was quite tatty, they need to clean it up a bit. Our arrival at the hotel was a bit difficult, as we arrived at midnight, and was brought to the hotel by taxi from airport. One must be aware that the taxi drivers are VERY RELUCTANT (to say the least) to take passengers to Fiumicino, as the fare compared to Rome centre is minimal, so we had a taxi driver muttering under his breath all the way to the Hotel. I explained that there is no way a foreigner would know this, so best he just gets us there and stop complaining !

Accommodations for heavy sleepers. The hotel is close to the airport, which is good AND bad. Good for the convenient location near the airport, bad because it is in the flight path of many planes. Thin walls inside the hotel don't help. The hotel is in the middle of a regular neighborhood where there isn't much around. It's an easy walk to Conad grocery store. Had a large room with a modern bathroom, both were very clean. A free shuttle bus runs to/from the airport and hotel. Missed the shuttle to the hotel and had to take a 20 euro taxi ride. Schedule the shuttle to the airport the night before you check out. Not a good place for light sleepers.

Good hotel for a one day stay, close to the Fiumicino Airport. Staff was friendly on arrival, for departure well... the guy wasn't in the right mood it seems. Hotel room was okay, but I wouldn't stay for more than 1 day at this hotel. Free parking is a plus. The restaurant inside the hotel tries to play in the "Upper class" range but fails to do so COMPLETELY ! Waiters were constantly going in and out of the room, looking at your table, picking your plate as soon as you'd finish it. And they were pushy and not very happy since we took only a single course meal. So what ?? Anyhow the food was good but service needs to be re-thought completely !!

From the pick-up to the drop-off at the airport this hotel was great. Unfortunately, I was there the night the restaurant was closed so I can't comment on the food. However, the helpful staff directed me to the area where neighborhood dining could be found. The neighborhood was not very inviting, but the hotel easily made up for the surroundings. The room was huge by european standards and extremely quiet. The staff was excellent in their greeting and customer service oriention. I've tried several hotels near the Rome airport and this one stands above the rest for quality at a reasonable cost. Assuming the mangement and staff remain the same I recommend it to anyone needing to stay near the airport

Very good location for airport accesss, within walking distance to the ocean and restaurants. Good value for the price. I would stay there again. Free parking but the hotel was not easy to locate based on directions on the website.

It is a very nice hotel, new, comfortable and cozy and the attention provided is good. The problem is that the shuttle finishes in the early afternoon, so it should clearly indicate so in the announcement. Also, taxi drivers are not famiiar with the location. The breakfast is not very complete.

The hotel website states that there is a shuttle from and to Rome-Fiumicino. My plane arrived at 9:00PM and when I called they responded that the service stops at 8:00Pm and to take a cab.The 10 minutes ride cost me an additional 19 euros or 28 dollars. When you are tired you d'ont appreciate this type of answer. Their restaurant even if expensive is excellent.

Camere spaziose, silenziose, pulitissime e con ogni comfort. I dintorni dell'hotel non offrono attrattive particolari ma si è vicini a roma e a due passi dal mare. Comodo il supermercato a fianco.

(1)Hotel needs to update the directions to the property on their web site. The current internet directions are not complete and terminate short of the hotel property! (2)The hotel/airport shuttle does not operate on Sunday's. This fact should be noted in their literature.

Stayed one night before leaving on a 6:45 am flight. Odd location but close to the aiport and price included a 5 am shuttle to the airport. At 199 euros it was not cheap but we did get a room which had a loft bedroom which was great for our family of four. Staff were great and we had a surprisingly wonderful dinner in the hotel restaurant. Get detailed directions as it is a little out of the way.

we were looking for accomodation for our last night in Rome between flights. Selected this property, one of the reasons being that we could go for an evening stroll select a resturant at our leisure. We were relying on the stated bus shuttle transfer- that never came.We experienced unhelpful assistant at the airport and rip off taxis- most wanted 40 euros to travel the short distance. Eventually the hotel reservations desk offered us a bus transfer for 20 euros- too good to be true- turned out to be a con. A hour and a half later, several drive passes by the hotel and a demand for greater that 20 euros distroyed the begining of what should have been a relaxing and pleasant last stay of our holidays. Meal we had a hotel resturant was high quality but the most expensive we had paid for in Italy. The hotel room, breakfast and staff were of good quality. The hotel could benefit by ensuring that they offer a shuttle service both ways for their guests, irrespective of time- as no other hotel does so ( without a big costs) and the taxis are a nightmare. I'm confident that this would be very attractive to future clients and ensure a high occupancy rate

The hotel room was wonderful. The room was big enough to be comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The shower was a bit small, but that is no different from a lot of showers I have found in Europe. There was quite a bit of late night music coming from what sounded like a bar or club in the vicinity, but not too much to make sleeping difficult. The night I stayed here, the hotel restaurant was closed, but the nice lady at the front desk (who spoke wonderful English) was nice enough to make a reservation for me at a local seafood restaurant that had very good food. The shuttle driver had trouble finding me when I arrived at the airport, which took a half an hour standing at the curb waiting. Breakfast was lackluster, but typical of Europe. It would have been better if the cheese wasn't Kraft singles (which are not like Kraft singles in America). Another issue was that the wireless internet wasn't working, but the room had a wired internet access point next to the bed which suited its purpose.

The was huge by Italy standards. My boys room was updstairs (room hed 2 levels) with a nice balcony. Too bad this hotel was not in the heart of Rome. It is a great place to stay to relax you last night before leaving Italy the next day.

Our room included pickup and return to the airport. They made us wait at the airport two hours for a pickup. The room was very nice, neatly furnished and very clean. The restaurant connected with the hotel was very good.

The room we stayed had good view of the city. Contential breakfast is disapponited compares to other hotels in Italy which I have been to a few. The hotel offers wonderful seafood dish which can be made to your desire if it is not in the menu but can be quite pricy.

The directions to the hotel listed on the website only got us part of the way there from the airport. Interestingly, the map in the hotel room was different from the map on the website.

The attendant at the front desk was very helpful, called a taxi to arrive at 5:00 a.m., and was very helpful regarding the area - stores, pharmacy, ecc. I can recommend this hotel for someone who needs to stay near the Fiumicino.

Our stay at the Hotel Roma was excellent. We had just finished 2 1/2 weeks touring Italy and Greece and booked this room near the airport prior to returning to the U.S. the next day. The hotel shuttle picked us up on time and gave us a courtesy ride back to the airport so we could travel by train back to Rome for the day, and then picked us up again upon return to FCO. We got a taxi for 12Euro, with the help of the hotel, the next morning for our 7:00 flight. Great stay, and would do it again!

We just wanted a hotel close to Fiumicino airport to make an early next-day flight. This was a pleasant surprise - a failry new hotel in a residential neighborhood. The signage to find it and directions on the website are not clear. It actually is signed as the Roma Hotel. However, the room was great - a glistening 2-story suite for our family, and an easy walk from Fiumicino marina which has several restaurants for dinner.

I had booked this hotel just for one night before early flight and also becouse they declared the shuttle connecting with airoport. It was quit good respecting quality vs.price. But one important thing NAVETTA from/to airoport. It did not work on the days of my staying there (26-27th of December), and it was not noticed in advance. I had known it just upone my arriving to the airport (railway station) 26th evening when I had called to the hotel for asking this navetta.

The hotel was undergoing renovations during our stay and this was a bit off-putting although there was not much noise. The restaurant was not open and considering it was a Monday night that we stayed there wasn't much open around the immediate vacinity. The staff were very helpful and we were very pleased that they provided a shuttle bus service to and from the airport. I think once the renovations are completed the hotel will be an outstanding venue, close to the airport, clean with good size rooms.

I stayed at the Roma Airport Rooms the day before my flight left for the United States. The shuttle driver was kind and competent, and the drive was approximately 15-20 minutes in early morning traffic. The hotel is located in Fiumicino, approximately 15 minutes walk from the sea. The hotel was the only listing available on the day I needed to stay close to the airport, and was the deciding factor in booking a room here. Big mistake. Kindly, kindly tell me how a room of ordinary vintage merits a 220 euro price tag!! I stayed on the first floor of the hotel, with a small balcony that overlooked a construction site. The room was absolutely ordinary, with a bed, a desk, and a bathroom. The presence of a flat panel television and an honor bar were the only amenities out of the ordinary. My room was not ready when I checked in, and my luggage was kept in the hallway, unsecured, for three hours. My favorite memory of the Roma was the desk person, who picked up my luggage and ushered me towards the elevator. When the elevator door opened, he chucked the luggage onto the elevator floor, causing me to step on my bags, and handed me the keys. Wow. 220 euros. Never ever again.

The location is convenient to Rome Airport, so it is good for travelers but not a good destimation for vacationers. The hotel provides very helpful shuttle service from the hotel to the airport. It would be helpful to be able to arrange shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. The hotel's neighborhood is primarily residential, offering little to the guest who wants to walk to restaurants. However the hotel restaurant was very good for dinner.

Unfortunatly we stayed just for one night ... Very friendly service, we`ve had a quadruple room and it was devided in two levels. There was a double bed down and upstairs with a great terrace two beds for the kids. (so we had actually two rooms) In the town you get every kind of meal. In the afternoon we went to the beach, our children enjoyed it so much, it was the right end of our journey to Rome.
