Hotel Villa Anemone - Fira

The hotel is nice, clean, and the rooms are not small, but not spacious. It should be noted that it is a good walk, up hill all the way, to Fira. Not a problem if you like walking and if it is not too hot. Also not a problem if you rent a car, scooters, or ATV. The staff were friendly and helpful, and offered both airport pickup and dropoff.

It was a really nice, comfortable, relaxing, welcoming place to stay.

Très bien, en fait nous avons été logés à la pension petros mais la piscine de la villa anemone n'est pas loin. En plus ils sont venu nous chercher et nous on rammené au port sans qu'on leur demande. Très gentil et accueillant

Generous with taking us to the airport. The hotel is appropriately priced for what we got. Shower facilities were sketchy--no shower curtain, and only hand-held shower, no wall hook for it. Owner told us the first night we didn't need the AC! and we couldn't sleep, it was so hot, and lots of street noise. We got it on the next night. Hotel advertised a pool, but it was empty of water! Daughter of owner did reception at our hotel--she was great, very helpful. Hotel advertised 'private balcony' but ours was a small porch right on the street.

We arrived to Santorini ‘on foot’ (didn’t rent a car) and had a difficult time finding the hotel. It was a lot further out than expected (maybe a 10 minute walk to town?). Not as big of a deal for those with rental cars, but not as convenient if you want easy access to your room throughout the day while walking around town. Our double room was clean and quiet and offered air conditioning. Don’t forget to ask for the AC control when you check in! I only saw bread and butter offered on the ‘buffet,’ along with coffee. I would recommend grabbing breakfast in town. We weren’t offered any shuttle service to the airport, but they did call us a cab. All in all, if you’re looking for a cheap and practical place to stay, it’s an OK option.

This hotel is deceiving. It has recently been refurbished and the building is in good condition. However, the location is not in town as indicated on the map and we spent 30 minutes walking around trying to find it. In addition, once you DO find its location, there is posted directions to check in at another hotel (which is half the way up the long windy hill you just walked down) to get your key. We were so frustrated by the location and check in experience we blew off the reservation and went to a different hotel which was actually in downtown Thira!

Upon arrival we couldn't find the shuttle but after calling them someone did come to pick us up. We were not given Villa Anemone but Pension Petros, which was supposed to be closer to town and therefore safer because we are two women. But this meant that we did not get the Euro 5 breakfast nor the facility of a pool. The girl who picked us up took my passport and held it till we paid the bill which was a jarring note. There was no one to ask any information except for a teenager who clearly didn't understand PR. There was only one small towel per guest.

The hotel is at Fira but since there is almost no street names in Fira, it is quite difficult to find it. Fortunately, they will search for you at the port provided that you tell them the time of your arrival, but you still need to find the staff among hundreds of staffs from other hotels. The hotel is a member of a group of several hotels, all very nice hotels with swimming pools. The room is very quite, with tv and refrigerator. They provide also the transportation to the port when you leave.

Clean, nice room. but a little bit expenience to burdgt traveller. nice bacony, sea view although sea is a little bit far :)
