Hotel Villa Fiesole - Fiesole

Excellent hotel and beyond you can't dream more splendid surroundings,the hilsl of Fiesole,overlooking wonderful gardens, and down in the valley Florence itself!!!

We arrived in Florence by train and followed the website directions to take a #7 bus which dropped us off a few feet from the Hotel Villa Fiesole entrance. We were warmly welcomed and delighted with our room, which had a lovely balcony overlooking Florence. We had a delicious dinner at the hotel the first night and Fiesole village center for dinner the second night, three bus stops further up the road from the hotel. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise, fresh fruits and nuts, cereals, eggs and bacon, croissants etc. We hope to return one day!!

Ideal location for 1-2 days getaway from city crowd during the long journey of 2 wks. The surrounding is superb and the view from the hilltop is nice, especially during the sunset. The service is warm and adequate, provide good hospitality and privacy.

This hotel was very nice. The staff were very friendly and competent. The restaurant was very good. You really can't walk safely into Centro from the hotel since it is located on a hill that curves and goes up to Centro and there are no sidewalks. But the way it is situated on the side of the hill, makes it quiet with great views of Firenze. You must get your luggage up steps from the parking lot, but they send someone down to help immediately when you hit the call button at the bottom of the steps and request help. The bathroom was a little strange. The shower was in the middle of the room with a simple curtain around it, between the sink and the toilet. So the entire floor gets wet when you take a shower! Not to mention the toilet paper got ruined. I was only there for one night so I could handle it for one night. The bidet was not typical either and mine had ONLY scalding hot water coming out, so I could not use it. Instead of a normal bidet, it had a hose and handles attached to the wall right next to the toilet. So you sit on the toilet to use it. Unfortunately, I could not use mine that night. I would have preferred it to the shower situation. I told the guy at the desk who was VERY apologetic and glad that I had told him. I suggested he MOVE the toilet paper holder well away from the shower too! He was grateful for the suggestion. I would stay there again if in Fiesole. Definitely the hotel of choice in this town!

A nice hotel with a beautiful view, overlooking Florens. Easy access by bus both to Fiesole and Florens.

Beautiful area. Hiking into Fiesole on marked trails. Easy bus access to Florence. Would highly recommend.

It has a magnificent view of Florence and it is easily accessible via bus no.7. But you have to be on the lookout as it is not the last station and you have to know when to get down. Sit on the right side of the bus and as soon as you see the signboard "Villa Fiesole", scramble for the bell. You will not regret staying here.

When we finally found the Villa we were pleasantly surprised by the value for the price. It is just below the Villa Medici which is GRAND...It is on a main road...noisy but okay. Thw web site should provide accurate directions...not just "in the center of Fiesole"because it isn't.

Swimming Pool was tiny and surroundings unkempt.Excellent transport into Florence via bus.Very Good Breakfasts.Ideal location.Reccomended.

This is a lovely hotel but it is on a very busy road with no pavement. It is only 800mtrs from the lovely village of Fiesole but it is too dangerous to walk. Bus No 7 from SMN station stops outside, ask for 'Regresso' - our driver took us to Fiesole, two stops further on, claiming not to know where the hotel was. Fiesole has lovely cafes and plenty of places to eat, even on Sunday.

Beautiful Hotel overlooking Florence. Very quiet. Large bathroom. Large fluffy towels. Bus #7 and the tour bus both stop right outside the hotel. Very nice breakfast included. Definitely recommend Via Fiesole.

This hotel is beautifully located, overlooking Firenze, with a bus that picks you up and takes you to town in a short ride. Unfortunately, while we stayed the hotel was under construction for improvements. It was not told to us prior to our stay and really was something we would have avoided. It was noisy early in the morning, all the workers ate in the ding area for breakfast, pretty much depleting everything and the servers were hard to find, when we did they were not too happy. The triple room we had for our two kids and my mother was awful! Just a small double room with a cot. Not what we expected. I would not stay here again.

The employees were most welcoming and exceptionally helpful. The facilities were fabulous. It was a great place to stay if you're happy to be a little way out from Firenze. Great parking facilities and a fantastic and on time bus service to get you in to Firenze. My 2 sisters and I would highly recommend this hotel

This hotel was an absolute delight to stay in. We got there early, they organised our room as soon as they could for us. While we were waiting, they they gave us a complimentary breakfast that morning too - and not just the normal continental b.fast - they served hot buffet too! The room we had overlooked Florence, dressing gowns and slippers in the room, bath tub and shower. They provide free internet access, buses to Florence right outside the door. I can't say enough about this property - it was absolutely wonderful and the staff speak very good english, are very helpful giving you ideas and directions to tourist areas and really aim to please their guests. Highly recommend staying in Fiesole - it's so easy to get to Florence but you're away from the hustle and bustle of the city and tourists. When back in Florence, will definately stay there again.

Air conditioning in rooms was poor.

I was more than happy with both the location and the quality of the hotel.The staff were very friendly and attended to all our needs with the minimum of fuss. Easy access to the city without long delays was a bonus as the bus service was excellent. The whole holiday was a great experience and i have already recommended the hotel to my friends.

This hotel is charming with a wonderful location and view of Florence below. The staff was very competent and gracious. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. It is very easy to reach Florence by bus and so nice to be in such a quiet location away from the crowds.

We had a very enjoyable stay. there were two problems which we encountered; our room was never sufficiently cool ane we were somewhat disappointed with the pool area. we would reccommend the hotel to others.

It was a disappointment that the rooms were dusty and had not been aired for a considerable time. It was also very noisy. There was also a group booked in so we were asked not to go to dinner there each night and were not catered for at breakfast till after the group left. The villa did not offer good value for money and would not recommend it to others.

Villa Fiesole is beatifully situated in the hills north of Florence. Very nice ambiente, friedly staff. Because of a late arrival, I opted for dinner at the hotel, a decision I did not regret.
