This hotel could easily be a "10" except for inattentive management, and a couple of employees with poor attitudes. The hotel and grounds are very pretty, the room is spacious and the pool is very nice on a hot summer day... most of the employees are very nice. and the breakfast was nice. On the other hand, the phone and TV in the room both didn't work ...the response from the manager when I told him was basically, "yeah, that's true". No attempt was made to rectify it. The manager did offer to let us use one of the hotel phones if we needed to make a call, which sounded nice. That night, we learned of an urgent family issue at home via email. I asked the night manager to use the hotel phone (with my calling card) so I would pay for the call. He refused to let me use any of the phones and told me I should have a cell phone. I told him the day manager offered to let us use the phone if we needed it ...he simply replied, "Well, I said you can not use the phone." He seemed like he just likes to work there so he can say "NO!" to people in need. It's too bad, this place could be a gem with some management attention, but it isn't and I wouldn't recommend it... it's a shame. Also, nothing special about Fiesole, not worth driving all the way up there ...there are plenty of places in the hills around Florence that are really charming, with much more variety than limiting yourself to only Fiesole... we made the 15 minute drive to Florence every night for dinner since Fiesole is very small and limited. Minor detail, the water from the sink was brown and smelled of sulpher... not ideal.

Superb and friendly hotel, staff is welcoming and very helpfull. We stayed with our baby aged of 8 month and everything was there to help us to have a nice stay. baby bed, baby chair and help in case of need. The room was very quiet and nice, clean, we felt very confortable there and the surrounding are amazing. I recommend this hotel with no hesitation, we will definitely come back.

Bathroom tub/shower should have curtain repaired as water drenched the floor when taking a shower and the tub could use a anti-slip mat.

Great place to relax. Location hard to find, asked at info office in Fiesole in the end. Nice walk back to Fiesole to catch the bus. I was unwell at the time of our stay and the staff made sure my husband was able to bring breakfast back to me in our room - a much appreciated gesture. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone and would definitely stay again

Perfect setting - just elevated enough above Firenze to be out of the hustle and bustle, but close enough for easy access via the city bus. We had rented a car, so it was easy to make the short drive to Fiesole, park for the day and take the bus. Fiesole is quite interesting on it's own merit and the hotel's pool area is really inviting. We are already planning on returning for a longer stay.

First time in Fiesole area. The hotel being outside of it I recommend to rent a car for easy access.

The staff were very helpful and polite - but when you book on the net - you get the cheapest room - not in the best position at all - and the breakfast was poor

The hotel is well appointed - a beautifully refurbished old dance salon set in a quiet location in the countryside on the outskirts of Fiedole. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bedrooms are comfortable - good shower but storage space a bit limited. The only real grouse was the poor quality of the breakfasts - absolutely minimal, there were no cereals - choice of one kind of thinly sliced cheese and thinly sliced cold ham. We were there in autumn when the shops and markets were awash with apples, figs, pomegranates melons and all the other produce of a bountiful summer yet there was no fruit on the table.

Excellent accomodtions for visiting Florence which a 10 min bus ride away. Staying in Fiesole allows you to enjoy a peacful town (traffic, noise, etc) and the vies of the Duomo are beautiful. The shower is small but that seems to be the norm in Italy. I highly recommend this accomodation.

Good hotel in lovely site with excellent views.Perhaps too far out of Fiesole and the walk uphill back to the hotel in the dark is unpleasant. If the hotel were to offer a shuttle service to Fiesole and back it might attract more guests. No atmosphere.

This is a very nice hotel providing excellent accommodation and a simple but good breakfast. We were disappointed the first evening that there was no restaurant (or bar snacks) and we had to walk back to Fiesole to eat, as it was exceptionally hot and we were tired after a long drive. It was probably our error in not reading available information. Thereafter we made our plans to allow for this and found very good restaurants nearby. We were thankful that we were not staying in Florence, but in the cooler hills above. The hotel was fairly empty and so it was very quiet and peaceful. This suited us. The first morning my partner accidentally pulled the emergency cord in the shower. I tried to telephone reception immediately to advise of the false alarm but there was no response. Seconds later the young man from reception was at our door. I was very impressed by this speedy action, as had there been a genuine problem, he would have been more help on the scene than at the other end of a phone. Well done.

The hotel is pleasant with well appointed rooms. It was rather empty during our stay which meant there was no atmosphere, no evening bar. The walk into Fiesole (15 - 20 min)would have been pleasant if there had been a pavement or footpath - as it was, it was a bit of a chore, as we had to walk single file, and press ourselves into the side every time a car passed.
