We had some major transport issues. I would recommend to stay closer to the town as the money you pay for a taxi will add up.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and would definitely recommend it! It is the perfect place if you are not planning to spend too much time there and you just need somewhere to lay your head at night! It was such a bargain and really have nothing bad to say about it. Its 2 km to fiesole. A total bargain!!

A lovely house in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Only a few km from Fiesole. Only drawback is that is no food available at the villa. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would have loved to stay longer.

This hotel is located in the hills of Fiesole. The room we had was on what seemed like the fourteenth floor of a three story building. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The beds were very soft which for us was not great. The lady Inn keeper (Savona) was very nice and tried to accommodate us even though she did not speak English. This hotel did not serve any food service, telephone service or internet. The Inn has a very nice location with scenic views. This hotel provided cable TV but did not have CNN or any other English speaking channel. The hotel is located less that 15 minutes drive from Florence, and has availability for the bus into town. Fiesole has a food store and several restaurants that are not very expensive.

A lovely old villa hotel, a little out of town, but full of character, and old world charm. We had a basic double room with shared bathroom which was quite adequate. No breakfast was offered and there was no public area eg lounge room, or sitting room. Communication was a little difficult as we spoke no Italian, and the Hosts spoke no English. No Tourist information or brochures were offered, but the lady did have some maps of Florence when asked.

This hotel is far from the center. We recommend just for travelers in auto. The hotel is in the a hill so the view is very nice. Do not expect for any room service. There is no elevator and we must to carry the luggage upstairs. The place is very quite and the beds are nice.

The room was perfectly fine, although the mosquitoes were awful. Since you'll suffocate if you keep the windows closed at night, you simply have to endure the bites and the buzzing. The hotel is also close to an intersection, so the car noise was substantial. The hotel staff was helpful, even though they spoke no English. It's a very long walk to the bus from Fiesole to Florence, so it would be unwise to book this hotel without a car. But Fiesole is such a quiet, restful, and cool alternative to staying in Florence that we were delighted to escape up to the hills every evening. No breakfast is provided. Perseus in the heart of Fiesole was a wonderful restaurant--excellent, fresh food at reasonable prices. It's a place frequented as much by locals as by tourists, so it feels more authentic than the other dining options in Fiesole.

I recommend this hotel only if you travel by car, because it is a little bit far from Florence (The hotel has a private parking). Another thing is that they don't serve breakfast (something to be improved in my opinion).

It says in the ad that the bus stop is only 300 metres, which is true, but the bus only comes once every two hours

Hotel was friendly and welcoming - arrived late about 11.30 (reception closes at 11pm) but this was no bother and we were welcomed very nicely. Public transport is very limited during the evenings but is ok during the day. Price/quality ratio is very good.

Comfortable but cheerless. Although checkout is 12.00 the owner was knocking on the door at 10.00am to advise occupation was "finito"

Helpful to read comment about directions to hotel; we arrived after dark. Road in front of villa is very narrow and fairly busy. Would not recommend walking to the town. Best for visitors with automobiles. Very lovely surroundings. Fiesole is a charming town, and a relief from the noise and crowds of Firenze.

The only real drawback to staying here is the location. If you are in a car it is not an issue but we were using public transportation and it is a 30 minute walk from the bus dropoff in Fiesole. There is a bus route that runs by the hotel but the bus only runs occasionally. Directions to the facility on the web site need improvement due to the hotel being located out of the way, such as, "Go up the hill from the bus stop until you get to a fork in the road and go left until you see the hotel on the right". If you have a car or don't mind walking some then this is nicely situated in the hills above Florence. Very serene (except for some dogs barking at night) and pleasant if you are looking to hang out and relax.

Very pleasant newish country house surrounded by green countryside. Parking is fine. Semi-hourly bus from door into Florence via Fiesole (can take up to an hour). Host is rather reserved, formal but gracious.

If your here for Florence a car is pretty much needed. It was a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Florence. It took about 10 minutes to drive to Fesole's bus loop and jump on the 25 minute bus into Florence. The room was fine.
