The Europa has a simple facade, but the interior is a beautiful combination of modern and belle epoque. Lovely public places so sit and visit. Great availability of bicycles for guests, terrific breakfast with famous Ferrara pastries. Very convenient and centrally located. Have been there many years ago, and it is a favorite. Hav

I had stayed at Hotel Europa three years ago with a group during a very hectic tour but this year went with a friend so we had more time to appreciate the hotel. We were struck by the immaculate appearance of the hotel, which felt really loved and cared for. All the staff were friendly and helpful and I must mention the chambermaids who obviously do such an excellent job. The adjoining Cafe Europa is a delight with a marvellous selection of cakes and pastries, and again kept immaculately clean. We liked Ferrara too, as we had a much more relaxed few days than we experience in more visited cities in Italy such as Rome and Florence. Everyone is very polite and well-mannered, and this includes road users: we never felt we were taking our lives into our hands when we crossed the roads! Ferrara is also a good centre for visiting other towns as the trains are excellent, and very cheap by UK standards. We enjoyed a day in Ravenna, which was easily accessible. If I return to Ferrara I will definitely stay at the Europa again, and I would recommend it unreservedly.

A friend and I stayed at the Europa on a trip to look at art and architecture in Ferrara and Mantua. The location is excellent, the hotel provided an even better room than requested at no extra charge, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Air conditioning was efficient and greatly needed in very hot temperatures. We would recommend the Europa unreservedly.

Very nice and convenient hotel located in the very hart of the city providing a certain level of style that only Italian town hotels may have. Only the restaurant they recommended to us did not meet our expectations. Still: We would always return with pleasure, which indeed we did.

Great location (few meters from all the sites to view), free cycles rent, free internal parking. The hotel "smell" a little bit of a glorious past. Great experience!

This is a hotel with a glorious past but is clearly past its prime. We were lucky enough to have one of the huge corner rooms with the frescoes on the ceiling and it was quite nice. It almost felt like we had been transported back to the 1920s. Still, the hotel could have used some refurbishment but all in all it was pretty cool.

The renovation of the rooms is nice but not elaborate -- at least not the rooms we occupied. The internet description of the hotel led one to expect more. Breakfast was just okay, perhaps the smallest spread we saw in Italy. There is dedicated parking (for a fee), but drop-off is right on a main street from a traffic lane: one must stop traffic to approach the desk and to find out where parking is located. A fine hotel in a fine lcoation. We were impressed by the 'old' style of the rooms and the 15 ft high ceilings. Everything worked well. Our only gripe is that with such a large bathroom - why stick a small shower at one end? why not have a decent sized shower, bath or jacuzzi? there was plenty of space. The use of internet was a nice addition.

Good hotel in central location - but difficult to find at first. Very good value for the prices. Charming staff and - helpfully for us - with good English. Good deal!!

The hotel is excellent and the staff very helpful. I'd like to mention, though, that it seems that most of the rooms have been totally remodelled inside, so they're "modern" -- if you're expecting a "historic" room, you might be disapppointed.

Great place to stay, Larage rooms, big breakfast, easy to find, great staff at the desk. I would stay here again if I were to visit Ferrara again. This was the nicest room we stayed in during out entire 2.5 week tour of Germany and Italy.

This is an excellent hotel located beside the historic heart of Ferrara. I wish I had stayed here longer. The hotel itself is very beautiful. A definite winner and the price is so reasonable.
