Hotel Carlton - Ferrara

The Staff was always nice and very helpful, able to provide the best solution in every circumstances. The hotel is also very well positioned in the heart of Ferrara. I will use again their services.

Centrally located close to supermarket , pizzarias , restaurants and easy walking distance to many Ferrara atractions . Well kept and cozy.

Excellent, reasonable lodging for a night - right in the Centro of Ferrara, great AC, good bathroom, very good breakfast, nice and helpful staff. Would return, price depending (stayed in mid-July, height of tourist season, so prices should be at their peak -- still good).

Ferrara is a pleasant city to explore on foot. The Este castle is fascinating. Hotel location is very convenient although the immediate area is not very attractive, with street vendors in the parking lot across from the hotel.

Single room is quite small, but very clean and nice. The hotel is very well located, in quiet pedestrian area. Breakfast well above the standard for a 3-star hotel

The Carlton is terrific! Great staff, excellent location, and a sensational breakfast. One of the best hotels I've experienced in many years of travel. Ferrara's main square and castle are a short and pleasant walk away. Highly recommended.

Bei meinen Buchungen über Venere war ich noch nie enttäuscht, weil man vorab gut informiert wird. Das Hotel Carlton in Ferrara jedoch hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Der gepflegte Zustand des Hauses und der Zimmer, die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals, die angenehme Atmosphäre und die Ruhe sind zu loben. Die Nachtruhe war gewährleistet. Die gute Lage des Hotels zentral in der Altstadt und das günstige Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - unter Berücksichtigung eines Frühstücks, das über normale italienische Verhältnisse hinaus geht - machen das Haus empfehlenswert.

Very good structure, in particular for cleanliness of rooms, common spaces and welcoming. A good tip is to try the restaurant nearby the hotel: a little bit expensive but excellent!

We found our selves walking every where we went in Italy once in the towns or villages and found the Hotel easy to get to from the train station. Once at the Hotel the old town was also very close. The staff was nice and was more than willing to work with our son on his Italian which he has been using for 6 months. The room was clean, large for Italy, and quiet. The breakfast had a great selection. We were very pleased.

An excellent hotel. The staff were invariably friendly and efficient, and the standard of cleanliness very high. We used the hotel as a base for visiting Ferrara. It is centrally placed, and in addition only ten minutes walk from the train station, from where we travelled for trips to Ravenna and Bologna.

They have a good breakfast, provide services such as umbrellas and bikes. They have very good wifi.

Excellent location with secure garaging in heart of "old" Ferrara. Equally good results from Hotel Regina in Sorrento and Hotel Artorius in Rome both located through your website. Your filter showing options for required accommodation is much appreciated

THis was our first time at Hotel Carlton and it won't be the last,the staff could not have been more welcoming of friendly,excellent fully secure parking,the room was very good,the bed was superb and the breakfast was first class all at a very reasonable price.The location was perfect for the centre of the old town (easy 5 min walk-watch out for the bicycles!!) the was food available at the hotel and there where lots of restaurants very close near by including an Indian and Chinese !! Would I stay there there again ? Like a shot!!

This is a lovely hotel, located in a small square with a choice of restaurants. It is only 10 minutes walk into the centre of Ferrara which is lovely. The room was large and spacious, the breakfast more than acceptable. The rest of the hotel was nicely furnished and comfortable. The desk staff where some of the nicest I have met. It was my birthday during my stay and the hotel presented me with a card and chocolates. A very nice touch. I would thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone.

The location is central, our room was quiet, spacious and clean. The bed was really comfortable. Unfortunately the service personal was impolite, unprofessional and arrogant. As recommended by the hotel we parked our car in front of the hotel on the parking place of the hotel to unload our luggage and to transport to the room. During these 15 Minutes, the police gave us a ticket of 103 Euro for wrong parking. After long discussion with the reception we found out, that the receptionist forgot to inform us, and to give us a parking card, which we should have put into the window. We asked if they could call the police to explain the story. They failed. Finally we drove by ourselve to the police, which solved the problem, and was extremly friendly ! Big compliment to the police, they provided better service than the hotel for which we payed more than 100 Euro.

Breakfast is very good

Much better decoration inside the rooms than in public places. The hotel met my expectations.

Very competent, helpful and friendly staff; lovely room and large bathroom. Wonderful breakfast in large room downstairs. Should we travel to Ferrara again, we would definitely stay at the Carlton.

Really good value for money. The hotel could almost not be more centrally located than this, right in the center of Ferrara, within walking distance to all the famous historic places, shopping and nice restaurants. We arrived to Ferrara by train also from the train station the hotel is easy and quick to reach by walking.

Hotel ottimo, in posizione fantastica a due passi dal castello estense, stanza spaziosa e pulita, veramente un servizio eccellente, e prezzo molto buono.

Called a family hotel but looked like like a chain organisation. Generally good especially breakfast choice and range. Room large but mostly formica tops. Hotel public spaces good and excellent range of material available on Ferrara.

The room was very small and the parking not too comfortable.

Unfortnately, we only had one night at in Ferrara. The Carlton was easy to find and close to the historic area;within a very short walk. The staff was very helpful although parking was little difficult. The air conditioning system was a little wierd, you had to call the front desk to ask them to leave it on; otherwise they kept shutting it off at intervals. It wasn't that big a deal though. We enjoyed this place and throughly enjoyed Ferrara. We wish we had another day or two to explore the area.

Very nice hotel, conveniently located near the main square. With bikes that the hotel rents guests, everything in the city is easily accessible. Desk clerks near fluent in English and very helpful. When we return to Ferrara, we will stay in this hotel

Sehr gute Lage, zentral und ruhig, Parkmöglichkeit vorhanden, Frühstück nicht so besonders: Orangenbrausesaft!; die Dusche erwies sich als nahezu unbrauchbar: Springbrunnen! - waren aber nur eine Nacht dort, sodass es nicht so dramatisch war - sonst hätte man wohl das Zimmer wechseln müssen

We wish there was something more than "excellent" to define this hotel, its staff, its location, its cleanliness and the high level of all the services provided. During our stay there seemed to be no limit to what the Carlton Hotel staff could do in order to make it more than just comfortable and always with a sincere smile. Definitely a hotel to visit more than once. Vorremmo che ci fosse qualcosa di piu' di "eccellente" nella scala dei voti per definire l'Hotel Carlton di Ferrara. Gia' solo la bellezza e la pulizia dell'albergo e la ricchezza dei suoi servizi sarebbero sufficienti, ma passano in secondo piano rispetto alla professionalita', alla disponibilita' e alla cortesia dello staff, sempre pronto ad adoperarsi per rendere il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile, e sempre con un sincero sorriso sulle labbra. Assolutamente un hotel in cui tornare.

Hotel trés propre, juste à côté du centre historique, nous avions une chambre calme au dernier étage, vue sur le chateau. Personnel trés sympathique, petit déjeuner copieux .Parfait !!!

It's a clean little hotel in the heart of a beautiful city. The staff is very nice and gave us a warm welcome. The room was very clean and tidy and, more than all, very very silent.
