We stayed at the hotel due to force major reasons - public strike in Italy, but although the occasion was not really good, tha accomodation was perfect - view from the room, cleanliness, quiteness, Ferrara as city and also the breakfast was very rich. The staff was helpful during our stay. This hotel is quite recomendable.

Friendly and helpful reception staff. Excellent breakfast, best we've had in Italy so far. Located right opposite the Castle Estense and walkable to restaurants, and other attractions. Recommendations by staff of restaurants was excellent - we would never have come across them oursleves.

Stayed one night in this hotel based on reviews from other guests. Far exceeded our expectations. Easily the best value for money anywhere. Courteous and super efficient staff, room in Prisciani Artsuite truly outstanding. Breakfast was beyond description. Simply superb. We can't wait to get back

I can warmly recommend this hotel, ideally situated in the historic center of Ferrara, just in front of the castle. Bikes are available for free use to visite Ferrara. All rooms will be redone at the beginning of next year and small single rooms like the one I occupied will be merged to bigger double rooms which can be reserved for single use. A very conclusive first stay in Ferrara.

Our room was probably the least good, in a corner and a back view and broken blinds. (At reception, we had been offered an upgrade for 20 Euro: front view. We had declined). That was the first impression. From then, things only got better: excellent receptionist, best breakfast at an Italian hotel. We were told that the hotel will be closed in Jan/Feb for complete refurbishing, but that their suites (just beside the hotel) will remain open.

We've found a long black hair in the shower and the sealing of the bathroom had some mysterious orange spots all over it. The room was not quiet at all. i've heard people screaming and ... i think is enough! The surroundings of the hotel are awesome but there are lots of other hotels. You may want to try one of those instead.

Clean and well appointed modern property in the old city proper. The rooms are compact and clean, but not high design or luxury. You can drive to the door to unload luggage, with street parking reasonably close for Euro 3/day. The breakfast is above average. The staff is very kind and helpful. The reason to pick this property is the location, the helpful staff and reasonable value for money. Other aspects are fine -- but not outstanding. There is a separate suite facility 150m away that sounded higher end, but did not visit.

This was a lovely hotel right in the middle of Ferrara. The hotel staff was exceptional - they went above and beyond anything we expected. The breakfast was also one of the best we had in Italy. Rooms were a bit dated, but clean and spacious. Free wi-fi, use of bikes and a location within walking distance of the train station were other pluses. Overall - we loved our time in Ferrara and wished we had just a bit more time to explore the town. Plenty of shops to explore and it seemed to be a bit off the beaten path of usual tourist stops.

Highly recommended. Location was excellent. In a piazza in the historical centre. Parking at a very reasonable cost was close by and it was possible to bring the car into the restricted area to unload luggage. The breakfast buffet was beautifully set out with lots of variety. Room was of average size and well appointed. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Stayed here one night with family passing through to Venice. Excellent and friendly staff, spacious and very modern rooms with plenty of amenities. Excellent breakfast comparable to any luxury hotel. They even had scrambled eggs made of real egg (not the instant powder stuff offered elsewhere). Very good value for money. Will stay here again if passing through, and will surely add a night or two. Only drawback is limited parkingspace, but designated areas in nearby streets is offered.

Beautiful hotel and setting with a friendly helpful staff. One of our rooms was overlooking the bakery however and the noise (with windows open) was disturbing. The staff at Annunziata was remarkably friendly, beginning and ending with Massimiliano. He was undoudtly one of the nicest and most courteous front desk managers that I have ever met. The Annuziata is the type of hotel that I hope to find when I travel. It offers personal service, an excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, and all of the amenities that make for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location puts it within a three minute walk of Ferrara's major attractions, and a two minute walk to the bus stop for travel to/from the train and bus station. The area might be more crowded and noisy in the middle of summer, but that wasn't at all an issue in mid-November.

We loved this hotel. The location is incredible. You are just across the square from the castle in the center of the town -- at night it is right outside your window all lit up. The hotel was extremely well run and the staff was very pleasant, welcoming and helpful. You will never find a better hotel breakfast than you will get at this hotel (with the price of the room.) It was bountiful and the quality of everything on it was superior. The only thing 'bad' we can say about the hotel is that the bathroom we had was rather cramped and the rug needed to be changed in the room. Otherwise it is very clean and well maintained. My husband and I would recommend it highly.

I travelled in a party of 5 persons and we all were very pleased with the hotel. It is well positioned. Being without an attached garage or parking space, the hotel offered valet parking (which we used) or provided tickets for public parking. Nice lounge areas. Excellent breakfast with both hot and cold items available. We would be pleased to use the hotel again and would recommend it to others.

I went to see a concert and the stage was literaly infront of the hotel entrance! could not have been more handy! I even had backstage access!! The hotel is right in a beautiful square in the centre of Ferarra. Room was very big and hotel welcoming was extremely positive (little touches like putting a "good night" note and a book next to my bed before bed time were very appreciated). Breakfast was really good as well, lots of choices even for strict vegetarians/vegans.

The two gentleman that worked at reception during our stay spoke very good english and were extremely helpful. The one who looks like Mr. Bean was especially friendly. The breakfast was magnificant! Makes it worth the price. Had a good variety at the buffet and food quality was good. Fruits, meats, cheese, pastries, eggs, bacon, juices, cappuchino, cereal, yogurt. Something for everybody. Hotel is in excellent location. The best part of the city. Located in a beautiful piazza with the Castle Etense right out the front door-big moat and all.

Annunziata is a lovely hotel in a supreme location. It has welcoming and helpful staff, tastefully decorated rooms and little touches such as a book for every visitor and Internet access in the lobby. This is one of the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was not huge, but perfectly large enough, with a good size bathroom. The room was filled with free goodies and gifts - book, pen, chocolate &c. I am used to single rooms being generally inferior and at the back, but this room was excellent. When I pulled back the curtains and opened the shutters I was stunned by the magnificent view of the Este Palace. It was superb. Also, the next morning, the breakfast buffet was easily the best I have ever encountered in Italy. It was a huge spread of the highest quality and it was difficult not to be greedy! I have no doubt at all that I shall use this hotel again when next I visit Ferrara.

The Albergo Annunziata is a charming hotel with a very personal touch. It is located very centrally right near the famous Castello of Ferrara and in the vicinity of other landmark buildings as well. Location is unparrelled. The hotel has free bikes which are a must in Ferrara, and free internet which other hotels didn't have. Take a bike around the city walls and through the streets and feel like a local. Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast offered a great selection. If you are planning to stay during the buskers festival you have to weigh up sacrificing the magnificent view out to the Estense Castle with the quiet of a non-square facing room. We accepted the noise and loved the room.
