Only 2 minutes' walk from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, the Santa Maria Hotel has the reputation of being one of the best hotels in town, thanks to its warm hospitality and superb location. You can easily visit the shrine, the stations of the cross, and the many holy sites in the Cova da Iria, Valinhos and Loca Do Anjo areas, where the Virgin Mary appeared to the three shepherd children, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco in 1917.
This excellent Fátima hotel in Portugal is decorated in a modern, almost futuristic style, something you might not expect to find here. The hotel staff are friendly and there is a large garden surrounding the property, making it feel open and rather peaceful. All in all, a convenient place to stay while on pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima.
As well as a nice breakfast, Hotel Santa Maria invites you to sample traditional Portuguese dishes for lunch and dinner, accompanied by a top selection of Portuguese wines. Also, you can chat with follow pilgrims and visitors to Fátima at the hotel's bar. An Internet Point is available in the hotel's business centre, and large events are regularly held in the hotel's function rooms.

Very comfortable hotel, and very close to the Basilica area. People at the hotel reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and always helpful.
