877-662-6988Converted into a luxury Pousada historic hotel in 2009, the 18th century Palácio de Estói used to be the seat of the Viscounts of Estoi, who built this elegant palace and commissioned its delightful Versailles-style gardens with pavilions for enjoying afternoon tea, the favourite past time of the European aristocracy during the 18th and 19th centuries.
There is even an ancient chapel in the Palácio de Estói's grounds if you are thinking of getting married here, and the old stables and cowsheds have been converted into a state-of-the-art events venue for wedding receptions and conferences. Also, the Pousada de Estói has a restaurant and a bar, a wonderful panoramic swimming pool and a deluxe spa complex with a Turkish bath, sauna and gym as well. Wireless internet access is available in all public areas too.

We loved that this place was so exclusive and quiet, the buffet breakfast was worth it alone, the rooms and beds best we have ever been in - very restful and you feel like a rock star! The attention to detail form the designers was great. ideal i would say for couples. The public rooms were in use by visitors and the weekend was fairly busy but nothing compared to a big hotel chain.

Very quiet and clean, staff helpful. However, the advertised Wi-Fi internet access didn't work in the rooms. British tv reception flaky at all times. 5 to 6 members of staff had breakfast in the guest dining room every morning before the guests had a chance to eat, resulting in depleted buffet supplies. Were charged EUR10 'room service' for (included) breakfast delivered to the room on last morning because we had to leave before the breakfast buffet opened. Overall, we have expected better from this hotel, wouldn't use it again.
