This area does not anticipate the English-speaking and with some difficulty we made out that we must take a city bus from the train station in Ancona to our hotel and first buy a ticket for the bus in a tobacco shop. It was a long long walk up the hill to the Hotel Touring in Falconara Maritima. Still, the view from our 4th floor window was outstanding. (Although the hotel was nearly empty,we were first assigned to the viewless 2nd floor; no resistance was given to our desire to change.) We had dinner in the independently-owned restaurant downstairs which boasts a magnificent wine cellar. The portions were too big and not like any other place we had eaten in Italy (catering to tourists here?) But the food was delicious.

We used the Touring as an airport hotel. Falconara is only 5-10 minutes away by car and is very easy to get into and park etc..By airport hotel standards the hotel was excellent. By general hotel standards it was very good. There is a characterful independent restaurant in the basement with an excellent regional wine list. Some parts of the hotel (including the bedrooms) are a little spartan but are very clean. The hotel stands at the top of a steep hill and is signposted from the main road along the coast. The area is heavily built up and quite industrial (docks) along the coast. Our one night in the hotel was quiet.

The signage to the hotel was very good. Although the location was in a noisy residential area it suited our needs as we were not planning on spending any time on the beach. The hotel had the most amazing swimming pool and pool area. Very clean. The hotel provided a very good breakfast will a lot of variety. Our hotel room had a beautiful view of the Adriatic.The first night we had dinner in the hotel, the second, the restaurant wasn't available. The desk clerk, Roberto Irlandese, was very friendly and helpful and recommended a few local restaurants. He also gave us driving directions to other destinations.

Probabilmente per questo si alza il costo, che certamente per il resto deve cosiderarsi un pò elevato. Vi sono altre simili strutture in città per prezzi meno elevati. Sostanzialmente ottimo ma un pò caro.

Falconara is an Italian seaside resort that appeals mostly to the under 25s and those with young families. It has a thriving beachfront industry designed to make 'toasting' on one of the many thousands of sun-beds as easy as possible for the dedicated sun worshipper. That aside, Falconara has little to recommend it and is a somewhat run down provincial town. However, the Hotel Touring is an ideal place from which to start or finish your holiday in Italy. It is conveniently located 5.5km from the international airport, which is easily reachable by road in under 30mins. The hotel is clearly signposted from the main road adjacent to the railway line (runs the length of the beachfront) and is situated in a quiet residential district. It is clean and the rooms are simply yet well equipped and presented. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant, although there is a very fine private restaurant situated underneath which caters for those with a discerning palate. The restaurant was closed to the public, (August holiday) except for the owner's friends, but could be accessed from within the hotel. The hotel staff were a little peremptory, but were efficient and accommodating regarding checking out times; we had a slightly later flight. Rearward facing rooms on the third floor and above offer spectacular views of the bay. Those below provide a unique, al fresco peak into Italian living since they stare straight into the small crowded flats across the road! All that said, we would definitely use the hotel again if we were transiting through Ancona airport.

The hotel has a wonderful pool area although the suite that we had did not live up to our expectations. The hotel is vewry reasonbably priced for food and drink.

The owners/staff of this hotel were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the meals were well priced and portioned.

Excellent place to stay if you want to be near the Ancona Falconara airport, which is about a ten minute taxi ride from the hotel. I wouldn't stay in this area for vacationing, but the hotel is a perfect place to rest if you are travelling in or out of AOI. The rooms were exceptionally large, very clean, and the staff extremely helpful with calling for taxis, suggesting local restaurants, etc.. We would definitely stay here again.

L'albergo è ottimo, lo conscevo da tempo. Se qualcuno passa da quelle parti è un'ottima base per poter girare i dintorni marchigiani.

We had no complaints about the hotel; the room and all the public areas were spotlessly clean. The staff was helpful and efficient and the continental breakfast was adequate. The swimming pool was most welcoming especially after the walk up the steep hill from the sea front. The location was the only drawback because of the steep hill but for anyone travelling by car this would not be a problem. We were a little disappointed to find that the hotel restaurant was closed for “Ferie” (Summer Holiday), as were some of the local restaurants. Never the less we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel.

Travellers should be warned access in via a very steep hill and as taxis were not available when we arrived, we had to pull luggage to hotel - not easy!!!

Excellent inhouse restaurant with a fireplace. Hotel neighborhood is quite. Access to the beach in only 300 m. Also good for business, because of excellent restaurants arround.

The staff on duty upon our arrival was not friendly at all. The pool was NOT heated as stated on the website, and something my children were really looking forward to. The distance to the beach may have been accurate, but it was not easily accessible at that distance. Rooms were clean and attractive. The staff that came on duty later in the evening was much more friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK.

A clean and pleasant hotel, easy to find from the airport, even late at night. A very short stay, but I would recommend this hotel to my friends. The Venere.com website is easy to use and I found the whole booking process to be fast and efficient.

Very happy with everything. My partner, two children and myself cannot speak Italian, but the staff were very helpful. A very relaxing holiday and the kids loved the swimming pool.

On the day of departure there was a strike and all flights were cancelled. The hotel MUST have been aware of this. I asked for a taxi to the airport indeed. However we were not advised. I consider this very poor service. In general the customer service and breakfasts were adequate,and no more.One concierge was friendly and helpful, another was not friendly, although all requests were responded to. It seemed all staff were much more interested in Italian business customers.If it is to appeal to overseas visitors a much tighter management is needed.More effort should be made to actively welcome overseas visitirs, if indeed that is of interest to the hotel management. I had a feeling it was not. I would not recommend it to others. By local standards it is not that cheap either.
