Lovely hotel in a great position. Resort quite at night (when we stayed). Downside, cost of breakfast, 15 euro's each, realy not worth it.

We make a point of staying at dormy house everytime we are in france which is every year for the past six years. have always loved the exceptional friendly and professional staff until the last time........we received a written appology from the manager regarding the rudness and inept attitude of the bar staff........ a personal appology would have been more courageous................ also we found that most of the staff did not greet or wanted to welcome us. alas we were so disapointed. i can only assume they dont need or want our patronege. we cant recomend this hotel to friends of venere.com until the arrogance issue is addressed

This place would be spectacular in the summer. We felt that we were doing them a service by being there.

I have stayed at this hotel twice and found it very comfortable. It is in a beautiful location, a short walk from the town and the cliffs and the sea. The food in the restaurant was good. The breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy. I'd stay there again.

The room looked too luxury. The hotel oriented for rather old people, especially for golf players. We were the youngest couple there (we are 33), that made me feel a little bit uncomfortable. However, the view from the hotel is fantactic and everything is nice!:-)

Very nice hotel on top of the hill with a good view of the cliffs of Etretat (unfortunately our room was one with no view but we could enjoy it from the terrace bar). Very close to the village, the beach and all the shops and restaurants. Friendly and competent staff.

After a long journey it is an ideal hotel at which to return to normality. The staff at reception and the restaurant were excellent.

It was my first time in this hotel. We were really impressed by the location of the hotel. It is a really quite area in the middle of the falls with a good view to the town and to the ocean. The bar/cafe of the hotel also have a huge terrasse with long chairs. They also have an impresive panoramic restaurant. TGhe parking is also a plus.

We only stayed one night and unfortunately the weather was awful as it rained almost continuously. The views from the room were absolutely splendid and the restaurant was excellent. The village of Etretat was charming and quite accessible on foot from the hotel. There was plenty of car parking at the hotel. The location of the hotel itself was outstanding and we have every intention visiting again, hopefully when the weather is better.

Absolutley beautiful views of the cliffs and ocean from the rooms. Etretat is a wonderful little town with great shops. Hotel is within easy walking distance to the village.

We were so pleasantly surprised, especially when we compared it to some of the other facilities we stayed at. An absolutely fabulous view, large bathroom, wonderful resort rich in history with good proximity to hiking trails. We had one of our best dinners at the hotel restaurant and the staff was very friendly. We only wish we could have stayed longer

The Hotel was very good and accommodation was comfortable. The welcome on arrival could have been more friendly. We suffered a night with a baby crying next door and a second night with a car alarm sounding most of the night, the hotel kindly allowed a small reduction for this inconvenience. The restaurant was excellent with a superb gourmet menu, but book early if you wish to enjoy a sea view while eating. If you are a golfer then you will fit in well with the golfing fraternity, but found the atmosphere very 'clicky' if you were not a golfer (as in our case). The village was very pretty and provided some lovely walks and fantastic views.

The location of the hotel (in the town but quiet and peaceful, as well as very scenic) was better than I expected from the website. The meal we had in the hotel restaurant was also very good - the website had not made it clear to me that we were in for a gourmet treat!

The room was very nice and spacious (though the third bed was in front of the bathroom door), the surrounding beautiful, the braekfast very good. The only negative point:no lift and our room was on the 3rd floor. Anyway, I would propose this hotel to everyone.

Dormy House is a beautiful property and its staff is welcoming and helpful. Assistance with luggage up the several flights of stairs would have been welcomed--but not offered. Etretat is a lovely village and I would love to return.

Hotel excellent and beautifully situated.Staff friendly and competent.Breakfast fantastic. The only downside was the restaurant. The food on offer was very disappointing, and the prices far too high. The beautiful view of Etretat did not compensate for the indifference of the kitchen.
