Hotel Estoril Eden - Estoril

The hotel is old fashioned.It provides good services. For a 4 star hotel, there are services neglected and several facilities are offered only payable.

Located in Estoril just near the train station and 7 min from the Estoril's beach. We had to wait 2 hours till our room has been cleaned. But we asked a oceanview room on top floor and it was great. As for hotel's facilities nothing special.

This hotel is extremely nice for the price. It would be a good "home base" for exploring Cascais, Sintra, and even Lisbon.

The room is very nice, and sea view is wonderful. Breakfast is good. But the service of front desk is rather poor. No local map available! No recommendation for local restaurants nearby!

We had a very good stay. The hotel staff were very efficent and effective. The breakfast was good. It was the same everyday, but there was lots of choice - cereals, fruit, yoghurt, cold meats and cheese, breads, cooked breakfast. The pool and environs were good. Although there was traffic noise, we didn't really notice it. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were a bonus. More entertainment, like a pool table, would have been good. The hotel was quite close to a nice beach, although we couldn't quite work this out from the online information and had to wait until we got there to find out. It was a shame the busy road and railway were between us and the coast, but this is true for most hotels along the whole of this stretch of coast from Lisbon to Cascais. The seaside promenade between Estoril and Cascais was very pleasant to stroll along in the evening. You could get to it through a tunnel - you didn't have to cross the road and railway. This hotel was the best for being close to the tunnel. We mainly walked to Cascais to eat in the evening because there are lots of restaurants there. Estoril is quite small. The upside of the railway is that we didn't bother to hire a car. It was very easy and cheap to get into Lisbon and to Cascais if we were feeling lazy and didn't want the 20 minute walk. The trains were every 20 minutes and ran to time. There was also a good bus service from Cascais to Sintra (and other places). My first two days were business, and some of the online information suggested there was an internet connection in every apartments, some suggested wireless. But there was only an expensive terminal in the lobby (4 Euros for 15 mins). I'm not sure I would have liked it if our children were young. We were on the 12th floor and the balconies were very scary for someone like me with vertigo. However, all in all it was a very good place for a holiday.

Great room with a great view of the sea. The road below was a little noisy (my only negative rating). Very convenient to rail line, casino, seaside walk and beach. Nice to have the kitchen in the room. I would love to go and stay again!
