The luxuriant park, measuring 42 hectares, is one of the most important places of interest of this Westphalian city and offers the ideal starting point to explore the Borbeck castle dating back to 1340, with ist numerous art exhibitions.
The hotel, situated in the same park, is suited for those who appreciate silence, harmony and comfort. Furthermore, at guests' disposal a meeting room with space for up to 20 persons.

This a small hotel in a fairly remote part of Essen- the day we got there was a German National holiday and no one was there to greet us- we called a number posted on the door and were told that the key was hidden in the Garden - which we found. Once in, the rooms were quite nice and clean- Breakfast was awesome. Certainly a reasonable night but very lonely. As an aside- the picture listed with the Hotel on line is actually that of a nearby castle- implies a quiet setting but the Hotel was acually on a busy main street.

How to reach Hotel Am Schlosspark
By car
From the highway A42 take the exit Bottrop/E-Borbeck towards Essen, then proceed along the Bottroper Straße and turn right on the second street. Turn right again into Weidenkamp and turn left after the first traffic light into Leimgardtsfeld. After the first traffic light, turn right into Stolbergstraße and, after the next traffic light, turn left into Otto-Brenner Straße. At the third traffic light, drive into Borbecker Straße and after 600 metres you will find the hotel on the left.
From the highway A40 take the exit Mülheim-Winkhausen/Essen Borbeck towards Essen-Borbeck, pass the Aktienstraße until the end of the street and then turn right into Frintroper Straße. At the second traffic light, turn left into Borbecker Straße and after 800 metres you will find our hotel on the right.
By train
From the Essen-Borbeck railway station take the express train (S-Bahn) n.9 towards Oberhausen and get off at the Borbeck Mitte stop.
By airplane
From Düsseldorf take a train to Essen. The ride takes about 45 minutes.
