Hotel La Pineta - Erice

We had a very good stay at La Pineta. This hotel should a 3 stars.

The room was extremely small but clean. The welcome was quite cold. Restaurant is excellent (touristic menu at 18 euro is worth to try) Erice is nice but too touristic (too many shops selling the same stupid useless things) no internet in the room - you must go to the terrace

We enjoyed our stay at La Pineta. We had a rental car during the time of our stay, so the fact that there was free parking was a huge bonus. Great views from almost everywhere. Good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.

We did not sample the restaurant, only the very good breakfast buffet, but everything at La Pineta was of superior quality - including the one hour of free use of the internet point and, not to forget: parking on the premises. The location in via Nunzio Nasi is quite convenient and within a short stroll right into the historic center of Erice.

Nice hotel, with breathtaking views, on the mountain slope, many trees, very quiet, a little bit cold during the night, pleasant restourant, perfect location.

Very good place to stay if you are driving. Easy to find and park; easy walk up in to town. We asked to be moved to a room with a view -- the 1st one we were shown was quite dark and cramped, but they accommodated us cheerfully. The best terrace ever -- we had a very scenic picnic lunch. Do not stay here if stairs are a problem. I wish they served real coffee.

This is a good place to stay in Erice. The location is excellent and the hotel facilities and services are fairly good.

My husband and I were in Erice at La Pineta for 3 nights. We found the town interesting, but not for that long a stay. There were few restaurants and after walking around the town, nothing more to do there. It was very difficult to drive up and down the winding road from Trapani and surrounding areas where we wanted to explore. The weather was a factor, too, as it stormed overnight. The hotel is on the border of the town requiring a 15 minute walk up the hill to find food in the evening, in the dark. If we did it again, we would stay along the coast and visit Erice on a day trip. The hotel was not very friendly and while breakfast service was good and they allowed us to use their computer to check email, we did not feel the staff really cared about our enjoyment of their hotel or the town.

Nice area,quiet rooms

A wonderful location and comfortable surroundings. Breakfast was eaten on the patio overlooking Capo San Vito in the distance. Rooms were fine. We have older children so got two rooms but four could easily fit into a triple. Only caution is the drive down the mountain to Trapani. It's not for the inexperienced driver. Parking was very convenient although we had to move our car before bedtime as a road race (up the hill)began in the morning that closed our road. We had to walk to our car (the La Pineta originally had promised a ride but it did not materialize) but it was an easy walk downhill even with our luggage; and seeing the race was fun!

We had a hard time peeling ourselves off the terrace one day. Beautiful, shady, lovely! (We also loved that there was a computer available for guest use.) And Erice was one of our favorite places in Sicily!

La Pineta's location allows you to avoid driving on Erice's narrow streets. There were many stairs down to room 12 but not a problem for us. Dinner was excellent.

E' quasi un "albergo di montagna" situato in una pineta a strapiombo sul monte S. Giuliano, alle porte di Erice. Le stanze, abbastanza spaziose e pulite, essendo ricavate da singole costruzioni sparse nella pineta, favoriscono il senso di quiete. Raccomandato a chi volesse trascorrere un periodo di vacanza in uno dei posti più belli d'Italia.

Ein uneingeschränkt empfehlenswertes Hotel mit anmutigem Charakter (kleine verschiedene Häuschen/Appartments unter vielen Pinien und unvergleichlichem Blick ins Weite), was aber schon allein am Fleckchen "Erice" liegt. Achtung: Hoher Romantik-Faktor!!! Die Zimmer sind großzügig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, jedes davon mit einer Terrasse. Frühstücksraum ist - wie die einzelnen Appartments auch - separat gelegen, mit einfacher aber guter Essensauswahl bestückt. Dieses rundum freundliche Ambiente vereint Urlaubs- und Glücksgefühl mit gutem Service. Hierher kommen wir gerne wieder.

No es un hotel típico, sino pequeñas casitas, dispuestas en terraza, rodeado de zonas ajardinadas con vistas preciosas, con Trapani a los pies. Muy amplio, cómodo.

Our first time in Sicily! We loved the setting of the hotel, and the views. As the weather was foggy and cold, we appreciated being able to eat dinner at the hotel at whatever time we chose in the evening. Would love to come back to Erice in the springtime or fall and would stay at the Pineta again, for sure!
