Hostería Lupama - El Calafate

Lupama was very comfortable and our room had a spectacular view. The walk up from the town can be cumbersome in the evening, but taxis are plentiful and cheap. The breakfast could be improved though.

There's nothing particularly wrong with Lupama, the rooms are fine. Its just the experience is rather lacklustre and I have a feeling we almost certainly paid too much when compared to cheaper options in the town. the hotel is also a bracing ten minute walk from the centre of town although as a result there may be better views out.

In El Calafate on vacation to visit Patagonia. Very welcoming staff and good service. The view from the hotel over El Calafate is beautiful. It is best to have a car if you are staying at Lupama, as it is located approx 2 km uphill from city center.

Excellent room, kind welcoming. We would recommend this hotel. Only negative points: the hotel is out of the town (15 minutes walk); they had problem with credit card link and we have to pay cash.

It's location is convinient, in the outskirts of the city, although not in the city centre (15 min away by walk). The staff was just great, they gave us advice on excursions, phoned to agencies to find out if they were available, arranged taxis, etc. They made sure that we had a pleasant stay and we are very grateful. The room where we stayed had an amazing view of the Lago Argentino, and it was spotless clean. Very good value for money.
