Really enjoyed this when I stayed for 2 nights. The Kaiserhof has lots of character and is comfortable and welcoming with it. Bedroom small, but you get what you pay for and I didn't pay much. The basement restaurant 'Der Zwinger' serves good local food and wine and is pleasant and good value - I ate there on both my evenings in Eisenach. I can't answer for the other in-house restaurant because it is being renovated. Breakfast in best German tradition served in a lovely room. Only drawback is that it's on a busy road junction so the rooms on the front may be a bit noisy during the day. Mine was at the back and very quiet. Eisenach is an interestng and attractive town - get some music in the Georgenkirche any Saturday afternoon and take a guided tour round the Palas in the Wartburg. Lots of pretty Jugendstil buildings.
