1. They need to read emails sent to them. They very nearly ruined a special event. 2. If they have a bar, they should have a barman there at all times and have stock and appropriate glasses.

Edinburgh is an expensive hotelcity. Royal British Hotel is a decent hotel, but not quite worth the price. Everything we needed but a little bit worn-out. Location is perfect. The prmised wi-fi did not work. Shower should be renewed. And it was difficult to take an early running because doors were closed and there were no staff around.
