This hotel is located in the Bull-eye of Edinburgh. You can go directly into the Biddy Pub from the reception. They are open to 01.00 AM and have live music. There are lots of Pubs and Bar around the hotel, and 5 min walk to the Castle.

Hotel in the centre of the old town, good location but rooms very smalls and a lot of noise coming from the pub located downstairs. If you want to have fun is great, if you want to have a rest not at all.

Clean and a great location. Just next to the royal mile, a ten minute walk from Waverley station, surrounded by a number of pubs and restaurants, a take-away fish and chip shop, and a great cafe around the corner with tasty sandwiches and smoothies. They advertised Internet access, but it was only for the first floor. I was on the second floor and was able to mooch access off of the cafe around the corner.

Room nice and clean, small, but enough. Corridors, stairs and lobby need to be renovated. Too unpleasant at the moment. Excellent location. Staff nice.

Situated near everything a tourist wants to see in Edinburgh. Lively area with good shops, eating places. I visited in January and the heating was great.

The location is good, but the hotel is in desperate need for a renovation. The public areas, lifts and hallways are in a shocking condition. It is old, tatty and dirty. The rooms are better. The public lounge is a mess - disgusting. The website cliams internet wifi connectivity in the rooms, but the signal was only usable in the lobby. The staff were polite.

A well run hotel with clean room and welcoming staff. Good overall price given the good location in oldtown.

This hotel is close to everything. We were within an easy (if hilly) walk of many of the best reasons to be in this city. There were several up scale resteraunts, as well as many pubs with GREAT pub-grub within 100 meters of the hotel. I'd happily return!

Wife and I spent four nights in Edinburgh. Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of all major attractions. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room small but clean; about what I expected. Would stay there again.

Best budget hotel available in Edinburgh at the moment (free Wi-fi!). But watch out for the building works just outside, might stay quite noisy throughout summer...
