We stayed in this hotel 2 nights and were very pleased with the room. Unfortunately, we had two very hot days in Edinburgh which made the room unbearably hot to sleep in. The hotel tried to remediate the problem by providing a fan in the room, but it was not very successful as it just recirculated the very hot air. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. We would stay again in this hotel if we came back to Edinburgh in Winter!

For a hotel of this type the breakfast was appalling. Tables very cramped. Long wait for ordered hot food and when it did arrive it was cold and poorly cooked. Trying to get more tea or coffee was very slow. Very glad we did not eat at the hotel if this was the standard. Were going to complain but couldn't afford to wait to get someone who understood what was wrong. Also rooms and passageways we're stifling. Hotel must expect to get some warm weather even in Scotland and have facilities to cope. Very uncomfortable.

A little break for my g/f birthday and its a great hotel in an ideal location for exploring the old town and a 10 min walk to the new town. 5 mins from the train station. Requested a view of the castle and they obliged with a lovely view. Also gave us complimentary drinks for the birthday :-) thank you very much. Good hotel and recommended, certainly stop again

The hotel is perfectly located for a stay in Edinburg. The staff where very welcoming on our arrival with our booking in. The rooms where clean with a large bathroom and a separate shower. I would recommend this hotel to any body wanting to stay in this fantastic city. The only drawback would be on site parking which is mineable (10 spaces) but their is a NCP car park only a short walk away which is well lite a night.
