Hotel Obermayr - Ebenau, Salzburg

We were delighted with this place and would have stayed longer if we had known how good the room and service were. Good restaurant serving local food, spotless room helpful staff - what more do you need?

Visiting Salzburg with my niece. Stayed in Ebenau due to congestion in Salzburg. Staff at Hotel Obermayr were wonderful. I think that clearer information could be posted onto website in relation to buses to the Hotel, eg timetable, Route numbers, etc (perhaps a link to the Transport group).

They've been very nice with us!!! The hotel is pretty close to Salzburg and is very close to the Lake district.It's a lovely place.Max and Conny are very nice persons and always ready to help you.

Hotel Obermayr is located in the heart of the Austrian countryside, so the houses are sparce, the walk to the town took about 10 minutes. We were lucky to arrive on Austria Day, and live a traditional military graduation ceremony with flags, gunfire, and nearly all town in tyrolean costumes. Medieval/gothic town, impecable maintained, enchanted river passing through the middle of town, man-made lace curtains, typical Alpine surroundings (Heidi-like). A must for relaxation times and the Sound of Music Cd is a must to take with you.I would have loved a bathtub to soak in at the end of the day (spa or similar, don't mind if it was communal).

Hemos quedado gratamente sorprendidos de la calidad ofrecida por este hotel-restaurante en las habitaciones asignadas ( 3 ) y la comida ofrecida. Habitaciones recien reformadas, primeras calidades, buen gusto, de diseño, TV LCD, ducha de obra con mampara transparente, etc.. Desayuno buffet espectacular incluido en el precio, 73 euros por noche hab. doble en agosto, piscina, parking frente al hotel gratis. Solo un pero, no hay ascensor pero solo hay dos plantas. El restaurante tiene unos precios muy competitivos y la atencion del personal ha sido muy buena.

We loved this hotel. The town itself does not offer much but is VERY close to Salzburg. If you are going to be in Ebenau however, I reccomend driving in the opposite direction of Salzburg to see Fuschl am See. This town is spectacular! The website did not do this hotel justice with pictures, as they went through a renovation in May. While the hotel looks traditional Austrian and the hotel restaurant was built with 500 year old wood from a farm nearby, the hotel rooms are new and sleek, like an upscale boutique hotel. We were pleasantly surprised. Because the town is so quiet, and the hotel is on the outskirts of the town, it is very quiet and peaceful. The staff were all very pleasant and mostly we dealt with the owners son. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Have spend there only one night, but I can say: it was much more than one can expect for this money.
