It takes only a few minutes by subway or by express train to get to the airport, the fairgrounds, the stadium or the ice rink. There are also many restaurants, cafés and bars in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Great location, local restaurants varied and good. Room was spacious and clean. Kettle provided but no coffee/tea etc. No aircon so opened windows but traffic noisy from early morning. Walking distance from absolutely everything. Breakfast very good. Hotel was spot on. Would definitely stay again.

warm and friendly welcome, very close to shops and parking (15 euro's per day and 1,50 an hour), few minutes walking to centre of Dusseldorf, nice basic room with good shower, good breakfast.

Nice hotel. Large rooms. Noisy street, difficult to sleep with the window open. A/C didn't work so it was very hot with the window closed. Walking distance to the Alt Stadt and good shopping.

A cheap hotel that has got just what you want. Clean rooms and a good breakfast. The only negative is that it is allowed to smoke in the dining room!

This was an ideal hotel for a couple of days in Dusseldorf. It was centrally located, close to the old town(with lots of restaurants and bars), shopping areas and within walking distance to the main station. The rooms were perfectly suited to our needs and good value for money!! The reception staff were very helpful with directions etc, as we had never been in the city before.

The hotel was very good within its category and excellent value for money. We had 3 rooms - 2 at the back of the hotel were quiet and 1 at the front was a little noisier but nothing serious. Within walking distance of plenty of good bars and places to eat.

outstanding CLEAN and badroom with new tiles; very good.Between hall-entance and bedroom a second door!, very good for isolation off noise. Pitty ,but no garage availeble ,15€ for 1 day/night in Parking.

The staff in the Batavia were friendly, courteous and helpful. There could have been more available information on sightseeing opportunities aimed at non german speakers though. The night shift staff were excellent, ordering taxis and recommending places to eat. The breakfast selection was good and the rooms were spotlessly clean and quiet with the windows shut. The shower was great, a power shower.There was no air conditioning so on a warm summer night the room became hot and stuffy unless the windows were left open. It was a good 15 minute walk into the alt stadt from the hotel,and 30 mins walk to the Rhine. Though the hotel was close enough to the shopping and commercial zones in the centre of Dusseldorf. There is a very good Croatian restaurant next door to the hotel.

How to reach Hotel Batavia

By car
From the North on motorway A52:
Drive along the motorway A52 until its end, turn left and after that turn right onto Münsterstraße. Turn left at the Münsterplatz, go straight onto Eulerstraße and Prinz-Georg-Straße until Oststraße. Immediately after the Brauerei Schumacher (brewery), turn left onto Stresemann Straße, then right onto Charlottenstraße and right again onto Bahnstraße. The hotel is on the left side.
From the West on motorway A46:
Take the exit Düsseldorf. Follow the street and keep on the right on Oststraße, then at the first traffic light right onto Stresemann Straße. From there follow the above mentioned indications.
From the West on motorway A52:
After the Rheinkniebrücke (bridge over the river Rhine) drive straight onto Herzogstraße up to the junction and turn left onto Corneliusstraße. After about 200 meters, turn half to the right at the junction, cross Graf-Adolf-Straße and turn right at the first traffic light onto Stresemann Straße. From there follow the above mentioned indications.
