The hotel IVKA is a modern 3 star hotel situated on the peninsula of Lapad in Croatia. The hotel is open all year long and is well connected with frequent bus lines to the Old Town. With superb facilities and excellent service, this hotel is a perfect choice for everyone. Guests are offered comfortable and secure surroundings during their stay at this Dubrovnik Croatian Hotel. With the best of traditional and international cuisine on offer in two of the hotel's superb restaurants, you will be looked after extremely well during your stay here.

Even though the IVKA hotel is located a short distance away from the walled city of Dubrovnik, you can still easily explore the area and once you become familiar, it is quite easy to reach all attractions on foot. But for days when you are not feeling so keen on walking, you can jump on the bus, which is only a few meters away from the hotel.

A great view!

Fantastic views of the nearby mountains will greet guests as they awake from a peaceful night's slumber in the extremely comfortable guest rooms of this 3 star Croatian hotel in Dubrovnik. Have breakfast on the balcony or sip a glass of your favorite wine as the warm soft Croatian breeze blows against your face.

Walk the walls!

Even if you are in Dubrovnik for just one day, you should really make time to check out this excursion. Walking the Ancient City Walls is a must, and gives visitors fantastic views of this amazing city and surrounding areas. Picture postcard photographic opportunities are possible, capturing the red terracotta roof tops against the beauty of the blue coastline. Along the way you will stumble across some cafes and souvenir shops, where you can catch your breath during your walk. The entrance fee is a mere 10 euros and goes toward the upkeep of this historical attraction. All in all, it's a great way to spend some of your time in Dubrovnik. A visit to this beautiful city would not be complete without walking the walls.

Mini Venice, minus the canals!

Dubrovnik is often called the Pearl of the Adriatic and the Old Town still shows much of its Venetian heritage today. Encircled by massive defense walls and free of traffic, its streets are polished smooth by centuries of use. Renaissance churches, monasteries and palaces testify to the importance and wealth of this historic and independent, trading port. Beautiful both at day and night, the old medieval city of Dubrovnik is a wonderfully untouched jewel in the Adriatic Sea. A favorite port with cruise ships, the city comes alive at night and if possible, is even more breathtaking under the starry night sky.

5D History Lessons!

A unique and fun way to learn about the history and culture of Dubrovnik, is a visit to the Visia Dubrovnik Theatrum. This uses a 5 D theatre, interactive installations, virtual reality, time machines and holograms to tell the story of Dubrovnik’s history in an exciting way, and will certainly that will engage and entertain the audience. It is a really incredible fun day out for all the family.

Picked this hotel for price range and location. Location exactly as on map but not as easy a walk into the old town as maps doesn't show the hills - but local buses very close to hotel - but watch out, they don't know when to stop taking on passengers! Hotel was a funny mix of new & old - Latest in technology for lift and room entry but very basic, small shower and old style television. We asked for a double room but what we got was two single beds pushed together - with hard wooden frames so not very comfortable! Not what I expect when I book a "double"! The safe in our room did not work and in another room in our group the television did not work. The air-conditioning is centrally controlled (does not say that on website) but was not a problem as it stayed on as long as we needed it to. The staff on the front desk could do with some "customer service training" not friendly @ all, didn't offer us a city map, or any advice - answered all questions but did not offer any more then was asked. Watch out - Don't go back to the hotel for a drink after your night out. The bar closes @ 10pm (never heard of that before) as we were very sourly informed by the night porter when we tried to order a drink - and it was only 10:30 on a Saturday night! Very strange! Again the web site doesn't tell you this. For the price this hotel was a bit over priced when compared to other European cities.

Very quiet and clean hotel. My room wasn't so big but it has a spacious bathroom and also a nice balcony. The bus stop to old town is just 2 minutes walk and you get to the centre of the city as well as at the harbour and the bus station in less than 10 minutes.

This hotel was far nicer than I expected for a 3 star hotel. The rooms were spacious, wood floors, and a very nice bathroom. An added bonus was a balcony, my husband and I enjoyed sitting outside at night, drinking great Croatian wine and looking at the stars. I thought the breakfast was good as well. It is a slight hassle trying to figure out the bus situation, but once you get the hang of it, it wasn't too bad. My only complaint is that I wish the computer in the lobby had been free, but other than that I have no complaints. Dubrovnik is probably one of the most beautiful cities ever, every person we talked to was blown away as we were, and Hotel Ivka definitely was part of the experience. Thanks!

Hotel Ivka is a good place to stay in Dubrovnik. It is not particularly cheap but all Dubrovnik is very expensive. It is not in the old town but there frequent buses running until late; it is also relatively close to a beach (10-15 minutes walking). Overall I reccommend Ivka and I surely reccommend Dubrovnik.

Very modern (built in 2004) - on a street but noise is acceptable. Breakfast is average. Need to take local bus to get to Dubrovnik.

The hotel seems close to the harbor from the maps but the roads are not easy to follow. If you arrive by ferry without a car and carry your own luggage you need to get a local bus, it takes about 20 minutes to get there. Otherwise the facilities are good, rooms are clean and breakfast is ok.
