Boasting a superbly central location, the Trinity Capital is a boutique Dublin hotel opposite Trinity College, Dublin's historic university. Everything Dublin has to offer is within walking distance from the Trinity Capital Hotel, including the traditional Irish bars and night clubs in Temple Bar, all the city's major landmarks, great shopping around Grafton Street, and the IFSC (Irish Financial Services Centre).
Completely refurbished in 2007, the Trinity Capital Hotel offers guests a unique mix of antique furniture, eclectic light fittings, luxurious soft furnishings and a striking red and blue colour scheme. If you fancy a weekend away in a Dublin hotel that is light years away from the slightly corny old Irish theme, then the Trinity Capital gives you something modern yet full of character.
A true boutique hotel, guests are in for a taste of North Africa at the Café Cairo restaurant and bar, which comes alive in the evenings, serving an extensive range of cocktails. If you would like to arrange some private dining, a small meeting or a product launch, then there is a range of stylish functions rooms available for hire. Free wireless internet access is also provided in public areas too.

Centrally located this hotel offered the Dublin trveller all they could need. Walking distance to everything in town, it is perfectly located. The rooms are spacious, and well equipped. Black out curtains mean sleep is not a problem, and the staff were happy to arrange a late check-out, to allow us to complete a walking tour - although they forgot to mention that my credit card would be charged at the regular check out time, this was reversed on request and a result of the hotel's computer system. Eclectic choice of furniture in the foyer makes you feel a little like you have slipped down the rabbit hole, but good to see something a little different. Overall, I would definitely stay again, and recommend to anyone heading to Dublin.

The Hotel Trinity Capital far exceeded my expectations specially regarding the quality of the room and the solicitude of its staff. I believe the hotel caters to all kinds of public: from business trips to budget travellers, for its location and good prices.

Great hotel in super location but make sure you're not on the first floor above the fire station. We could hear the fire station's main garage door opening and closing right throughout the night. Asked to be moved but no more rooms available so we paid extra to be upgraded to an executive room - but beware: these rooms don't have air-conditioning! So we had to have the window open all night which of course meant more noise from the street. Wouldn't stay here again just because of noise levels - maybe it's better if you get a room at the back though. We didn't have the option. Also staff not particularly friendly - it doesn't make or break a stay for me but it's nice to be greeted with a smile. Also doorman/concierge is hopeless with advice on local restaurants - ask someone else. Location is great - a short walk to everything and the decor is interesting with lovely restaurant/bar/lobby area. Rooms were clean and spacious and equipped with everything you'd expect and thick lined curtains keep out the light - but not the noise! Overall I would recommend the Trinity but only if you specify a room at the back (the view from both sides of the hotel is pretty grim so it doesn't matter - unless you're on the top executive floor in which case you have a lovely view over the cricket green and city to the front).

How to reach Trinity Capital Hotel
By airplane
From Dublin International Airport: follow signs to Dublin City Centre. On arriving into the city, follow the signs for O'Connell Street, passing through Drumcondra onto Dorset Street. Turn left onto Upper Gardiner Street, continue down Lower Gardiner Street, through Store Street and crossing the Talbot Memorial Bridge onto Moss Street. Go straight ahead at the next set of traffic lights into Shaw Street and turn right onto Pearse Street. The Trinity Capital Hotel is located approx. 20 meters up from here on the right-hand side.
Alternatively, there are two excellent bus services, which offer regular and inexpensive transport to the city centre. The Aircoach bus departs every 15 minutes from outside the Arrivals Terminal at the airport. Get off at the Trinity College stop and then follow the railings of Trinity College back around onto Pearse Street. Continue walking down Pearse Street for about 250 metres and you will see the hotel's glass façade. Another option is the 747 Airlink or 748 Airlink bus which departs every 15 minutes from outside the Arrivals Terminal at the airport. Get off at the Central Bus Station in the City Centre. On coming out of the bus station, take a left towards O’Connell Street. Head in a southerly direction over O'Connell Bridge, staying on the left-hand side, and cross the road onto D’Olier Street. When you get to the top of D’Olier Street, cross over the road onto Pearse Street at the traffic lights, passing the Garda police station on the left. Continue for another 50 meters and you will see the glass façade of the hotel on the left.
By ferry
From Dun Laoghaire Port: if you are travelling by car, follow the signs for the city centre, which take you through Blackrock and Ballsbridge. When you are on Mount Street, just before Merrion Square on the left, turn right at the traffic lights. You will go past Holles Street Hospital on the right-hand side and through 2 sets of traffic lights. Straight after the 2nd set, turn left onto Pearse Street and the hotel is located at the upper end of Pearse Street, on the right-hand side. Alternatively, take the DART train and get off at Pearse Street. On coming out of the station, turn right onto Pearse Street. Walk 150 metres up Pearse Street and you will find the hotel on the left.
