I would have to say that for the price of the triple/family room we had, there should have had breakfast included. That would be the norm with big hotels like this. The cleanliness in room was excellent.Should have more teabags and bigger portions of milk, not enough for two people.Have a tiny fridge space to hold milk,as it was beginning to go off.Should have lyons or barry tea bags on display being irish.Staff were excellent, however we could not get any late drinks for room after 2 for residents, and that is bad.No entertainment in front bar, which they should have as this was the night of the Lady Ga Ga concert in Aviva stadiuma and it had a lot of guests going to concert. That was also the reason why room was very expensive, and then no breakfast with that was not a good idea.Need more internet space.as only only 2 computers on idsplay and loads of tourists there wanting to use same.

Observations: 1. They aren't specify if breakfast is included in price or not (wasn't) 2. Wireless internet was available only by accessing a proxy web-site (which means providing some personal data in order to create an account) Otherwise a nice stay (clean and spacious room, very nice location and good quality of services provided)

It was a good value for Dublin. About a 20 minute walk to center. My husband and I love to walk so it was nice for us. Staff was friendly. It was in a nice neighborhood with lots of restaurants and pubs. The rooms were clean, spacious, and quiet. We would stay there again.

We picked the area deliberately because of its convenience for the city, Merrion Square, Art Gallery and Ballsbidge. The staff were welcoming and resolved a small problem efficiently. The rooms were very comfortable. We had a room at the back which was quiet. I don't know about the front rooms which overlook a busy road. Overall we found that the hotel offered really good value for a city hotel.

A Dublin hotel I'll recommend without hesitation -- a gem of a place, international, exceptionally clean, organized, reasonable, quiet, professional, spacious. Young and old travelers, foreigners from everywhere. As they say, a brisk walk to the city center, 15 minutes to St Stephens square and 20 min to Trinity -- or easy cab ride. Good restaurant, and a cafe and bar. Safe, interesting site by historic canal, near airport shuttle coach.

Spacious, welcoming hotel - very clean and efficient. Bedroom of very good size, well equiped. Bathroom also very good. Convenient location, near bus stops and not too far to walk to Trinity College etc. Attractive canal with old-fashioned locks runs along the main road in front of the hotel, adding a slightly rural touch to this urban hotel.

Some employees didn't seem well prepared for the task. When asked for a nice Pub for lunch, one of them, at the reception desk, gave me the address of a place where they wouldn't even serve meals!!! My wife and I were rather disappointed, I'm afraid.

The hotel was about 15 minutes walk from Temple Bar which we viewed as an advantage, since the area was very quiet, and the walk home safe and pleasant. Friendly competent staff, large room, everything as advertised. Also very near to the aircoach route to/from the airport.

Good hotel, in a quiet zone, maybe a little too far from city center (about 15 minutes walking). Excellent staff, maybe rooms could be a little cleaner. Cannot say more, since I never used other hotel facilities. Anyway, I recommend it and I would return.

Super dinner deal every night: fresh home made bread rolls with butter, main course + 2 glasses of wine of 2 pints of beer + the/coffee at Euros 22 is extremely cheap in Dublin. Eat in both nights. Would recommed strongly and very friendly staff

Everything was excellent however the hotel only received a reservation for one room when I in fact booked two rooms through venere.com. They had to shift us to another hotel for the first night but it was a four star that also comped us a fabulous buffet breakfast with an excellent staff to help us with our Dublin stay. Fernando at Mespil took care of everything for us and was fabulous in making up for the error made by venere.com in only booking one room for us.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. At check-in the employee gave us one room and electronic keys to another. The toilet did not flush, it was very hot, some rooms had two fans and ours had none. i really liked the availability of the free internet access for the guests.

We absolutely loved Hotel Mespil. Cynthia checked us in and she was so friendly and helpful and with so many guests she actually remembered us. The room was extremely clean and spacious, we had a double but the room also contained a twin. The bed was so comfortable we could have slept all day. Location is perfect, quiet and a brief walk to St. Stephen's and all the major tourist points. We loved the Mespil and we cannot wait to return.

The Mespil is a modern, clean, Hotel and was excellent value for money at appx. €90 per night. It's situated in a central location, within a 10 minute walk of St Stephens Green, which gives easy access to both Baggott Street bars and Grafton Street shops. It is also only 5 minutes walk from the "Aircoach" stop at Burlington Hotel.
