Looking for that perfect city break accommodation? Look no further than the Maldron Hotel Parnell Square in the heart of Dublin’s city centre. This boutique 3 star hotel is just a short walk away from O’Connell Street. The main attractions of the city are located in the vicinity of the hotel and Dublin International Airport and Connolly Train Station are easily accessible, making this an ideal destination for business and vacationing travelers alike. With the thriving city centre right on your doorstep, you will never be stuck for things to see and do during your Irish vacation.

For those guests wanting to experience life outside of the city, The Maldron hotel Dublin City Centre, can offer you advice on tours outside of Ireland’s capital. Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city centre and head for the North side of the city and explore all that the surrounding areas of the Maldron city hotel have to offer. Take a stroll through the celebrated North Side, and take in the sights of famous landmarks such as the Black Church (St. Mary's Chapel of Ease), King's Inns, Broadstone Station, the Blessington Basin, Berkeley Road Church (St.Joseph), or take a walk along the majestic Royal Canal Bank.

Living history comes to life in Dublin!

When you come to Dublin be sure to soak up the rich and colorful past this beautiful city has to offer. The first place visitors usually see when arriving in the Emerald isle is Dublin’s famous O’Connell Street, this vast shopping district and the General Post Office (GPO) were the setting for Ireland's 1916 Rising. Another site infamous in Irelands struggle for Independence is Trinity College Dublin. Situated approximately 10 minutes walk from O’Connell Street and 20 minutes from the Maldron contemporary hotel in Parnell square, this once staunchly Protestant College, formerly home to famous Alumni such as novelists Bram Stoker and Oscar Wilde, now houses The Book of Kells and the largest research library in Ireland.

Castles and academia!

Nearby to Trinity College you will find Dublin Castle on Dame Street. Founded in 1204, its main purpose was largely defense of the city against invasion but it soon became a symbol for British Rule in the country and was subsequently handed over to Michael Collins, the head of the newly formed provisional government after the Rising. Today Dublin Castle is a craft and heritage centre and is open regularly to visitors. St Stephen's Green shopping centre and the high brow shopping area of Grafton Street are located just a just a short walk away from these sites.

The Irish Craic!

Temple Bar also known as Dublin’s Cultural quarter is worth a visit during your trip. As it is only 20 minutes away from the Maldron Dublin City Hotel, you will be able to visit its many shops, bars, galleries and restaurants many times during your stay.

A traditional tipple!

Also close at hand is St James Gate brewery, known as the Guinness Factory. St James Gate is approximately a half hour walk from Parnell Square and the Maldron City Centre Hotel. Numerous city buses and tour buses stop outside the factory. Visitors to the factory can take a tour and find out how St James Gate was founded and sample a complimentary pint while looking down on the city from the world famous Gravity bar.

Budget accommodation with top class facilities!

The hotel Maldron Parnell Square Dublin is ideally located in the heart of the capital. Friendly, well trained staff are there to help guests with any questions they may have during their stay. This 3 star budget Dublin accommodation features complimentary wireless internet access in the lobby and express check in for guests’convenience. Good location (just around corner from Hugh Lane and Irish Writers Museums) and convenient for bus to airport (2.65 Euros). Gate Theater/O'Connell St are near. As usual, flight in from USA arrived early, but Andrea at reception soon made sure a room was ready. (Trust me, not all hotels do that). He and Eva at front desk were helpful throughout my visit. Had breakfast at hotel (8.50 euros if you order it night before). Tasty and convenient and you can easily strike up conversations with fellow tourists. Check out time is 12 noon, which is nice as you can attend to unfinished errands on last day. Only drawback is that my room had no tub, but I'm not sure that is true for other rooms. So all in all, a positive experience

Fantastic, modern, centrally located, well-run hotel less than 10 minutes' walk from city centre. Efficient attentive staff. Spotless reception/rooms/bathrooms with every amenity supplied. We didn't have dinner but found the breakfast to be fresh and more than adequate. Great rates and service so it is well worth a visit. Would highly recommend.

I arrived at 10.30pm and the man at Reception had my welcome and assigned room number sorted out in a few minutes. I had had a LONG day in the air and I did not need officiousness when I arrived! I DID NOT get that but great efficiency. The two young women on Reception (Aiste and Ieva) were MORE than helpful to me. They arranged many things and made MANY phone calls. NOTHING seemed to be too much trouble for them. For me, they were "the face" of The Maldron during my stay. The whole experience was a most pleasant soujourn and so I have once again, booked The Maldron immediately prior to my departure from Ireland! I was more than satisfied with my stay as I felt most comfortable at my home away from home!

The hotel is modern, with comfortable rooms located about 15 mins away from the centre of town and the Liffy river. It is located on a busy road intersection, so there can be street noise if your room is facing the street. The restaurant is good for dinner and breakfast - you may have to purchase vouchers for this depending on your booking. Parking can be a problem - if you can't get a space in the underground car park (10 spaces) you have to park several streets away.

When we arrived to the hotel and done the check-in, it seems that the staff changed the room that they have choosen at first. We observed that they changed the number of room and the new room was very little if we compare with other rooms in the same floor.

We were very pleased from the moment we walked into our room. It was tastefully decorated and clean, with a comfortable mattress on the bed. The breakfast buffet was quite good for the price (booking ahead, i.e. by the night before, gives a better rate). While the immediate neighborhood is a bit run-down, it is convenient to O'Connell Street and to the international area of town, both high points for us. Also, for anyone interested in using Dublin's buses (better view than in the taxis!), this location is particularly well served, with quite a number of lines running on three sides of Parnell Square. (You can get bus schedules at the bus office on O'Connell Street, and I think the hotel also provides a bus map.) In our room, there was fairly steady "white noise" from traffic, but not other street noise. We did not hear our hotel neighbors. The doors into the hall did close quite loudly, and it would be nice if this could be fixed. The staff were ready to help us with any question or need that arose, even one rather unusual one, and we really appreciated that.

Nice hotel, nice price, nice room. 5 min walk to the main shopping street, and close to pubs and several tourist attractions. 15-20 min by taxi to the airport. We will stay here during our next visit to Dublin as well.

We stayed in a double room, which was very small. Two small twin beds pushed together is not the same as a double bed. There was no help with luggage. The desk staff was very helpful and room servicing very good. The location is within easy walking distance to the attractions in the north part of the city, but the surrounding area seems somewhat seedy. Bus sevice is within a block.

The hotel was absolutely excellent, clean, friendly, rooms were very spacious and spotless. Staff couldn't do enough to help us. Would especially mention Kishan who worked on reception - he went out of his way to help us with any query we had. The decor was lovely, breakfast good value for money. The bed in our double room was king size so brilliant. Only criticism is the surrounding area where the hotel is situated is a bit run down but that didn't mar our holiday. Overall would definately recommend it to anyone and would most certainly stay there again.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. Its location is not ideal but you are only a 10-minute walk from the very center of Dublin. What worked for us was the proximity to the airport express (bus 747) + we don't mind walking. I would like to stress the cleanliness of the premises, the spaciousness of the room, and the warm welcome we received at the reception desk. Our internet connection in the room was not working when we first arrived. Once I informed the reception desk the techinician was in our room within minutes to fix the problem. Overall, this is a super comfortable and excellently maintained place, to such an extent that we have already booked another room for our last day in Dublin. Highly recommended.

This was a pretty good hotel to stay in. The room was more than adequate, quiet with a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. Very friendly and efficient staff. Great value for the money and would recommend it if you are looking for a decent place in the city centre, close to the attractions, that offers a good sleep. My minor critism would be that there was no fridge in the room.

Lovely interior of the hotel, doesnt look much from the outside though. very close to local attractions, easy walking distance to dublin centre. right on the bus route to and from airport. my only complaint is that the staff were not very welcoming, or very friendly. the rooms are huge and i have positive things to say about everything else about the hotel.

Overall good value for money. A comfortable hotel.Dinner menu did not seem to change day to day with little variety and few vegetables.Breakfast was fine except for no fried eggs available. Dublin very expensive with Jameson whiskey over £8 dearer at the old distillery than Tesco in Exeter. Guinness in Dublin at least €4.50 compared to £3.00 in Exeter. However, all in all three days in Dublin very enjoyable.

The hotel was in a relatively bad location of town. Just across the street was the start of the "poor neighborhood" as there were callgirls standing around the hotel. Nothing happened, but this was a little unpleasant and made us uneasy. The hotel guy said not to go out after 9 pm! They didn't have enough money to hire a security guard for the night. But it was quick to get to the main street O'Connell and the shopping areas and to catch the airport buses or the tourist hop-on/off busses. The hotel itself, inside and rooms and service, was fine. Breakfast was also decent.

Nice accomodation, close to O'Connell Street, city center and easy to reach from the airport. We had some problems with room cleaning service, which operates until 18.00 in the afternoon, so if you come back to the hotel before 18.00 you could find your room not yet made up! Anyway, it's been a comfortable place to stay.

Overall a good quality hotel for the money. Unfortunately on our toilet broke on the 2nd morning and wouldn't flush, this was reported straight away but not repaired until the following day. This was disappointing but the actual staff i spoke with were great. A point to note is that on a couple of occasions walking back to the hotel at night we passed a couple of dubious characters hanging around on street corners. If you are a single traveller this may be worth taking into account.

Got a favourable off-season price for the stay. A minor complaint: A burned-out bulb in the bathroom was not replaced, even after reporting to the front desk. An advice: Ussing the Internet machine in the lobby is very expensive (according to the hotel, this is a rented service, and the hotel has no influence on the price). Luckily, there is a very cheap Internet shop just across the street.

The hotel is close to a large number of bus stops on Parnell Square, including the Airlink bus to the airport. I don't know if you can take the Airlink from the airport and get off at that stop. It's worth finding out. The only hitch in my service experience was after checking in my room card was not programmed for my room so I had to go back to the front desk, with my luggage, to tell them the card didn't work.

Great hotel - right near O'Connell Street. They let us check in early, which saved the day after an overnight flight. Friendly staff and very quiet rooms. Super comfortable beds too!

Very nice hotel with very clean rooms. This hotel is in a quiet place, not very far from the city center and temple Bar (15 min walk maximum). The price is very reasonable compared to other hotels in Dublin.

Good location, on the 747 bus route to the airport. Good quality hotel, looks almost new. However, from the way the hotel was presented to us one may have thought that breakfast was included. It was not, actually, which came as a nasty surprise. The same applies to the use of Internet, which was mentioned as free. What is the use of saying "free internet connection" when you still have to pay per minute? Let's just stop and think how often we lie to ourselves and to others by using all those advertising tricks that everybody seems to know are cheap customary lies? Let's start telling ourselves the truth - it does not hurt, on the contrary, it's nice to be honest with each other, we deserve it.
