The hotel location is excellent. Walking distance to many sites and all modes of transport. Airport bus stops right outside so very easy to get to. The hotel is pleasant enough. It is more of an old house, and on arrival had a "shabby" feel to it. However, it is very clean and comfortable and for the price it is a very good choice. One thing worth noting is that there are a lot of stairs to the top floor (3/4 flights) and no lift, so if you have trouble with stairs then make sure you ask for a room on a low floor, or even consider somewhere else.

Location was wonderful! The room was horrible, and the beds were the worse I have ever tried to sleep on. No Wi/Fi in the rooms. The bathroom was the highlight of the room, and that was a 6 out of 10 !

It was our first time in dublin and the hotel was very near to the centre, which was pretty awesome. The food was good and the recieptionist was really nice! Wer also in dublin was erleben will ausser im zimmer rumliegen, entscheidet mit diesem hotel richtig.

Was given room in basement. Looked very shabby and difficult to reach if you have loads of heavy suitcases. Staff nice and helpful, ok to stay one night while traveling, I think.

Hotel is in need of a complete upgrade. All areas appeared not to have been dusted or vacuumed for quite some time, although the bed linen was immaculate. Our bathroom washand basin had been broken and glued together. All the staff I met were really nice and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them. I would only stay here again if it was upgraded so would not recommend it to anyone else.

Very good position.10 min by foot from temple bar.we stayed twice in this hotel during the week. first room was clean and nice but on the street so too noisy, bath was little: shower didn't work well and lock was broken.the second time room was on the back, quite silent and bath was little but nice and working.the street is close to bus station coming from airp and it's the one with all the b&b.at left there is the biggest shopping street with all the shopping mall even if the best part of Dulin in my opinion is under the river(grafton and temple street zone)but easily reachable by foot in 20min.breakfast was included and good.I suggest to see Avoca shop.

Very noisy with 24 hours car noise, the room was very poor and the water in the sink were leaking. It was the most expensive and worse hotel i visited during my week of stay in Ireland. At 3:00 AM, the fire alarm started ringing and it took me 2 hours to get back to sleep...

The hotel is near to the centre and to the bus station, a perfect location to have nice days in Dublin and in other wonderful green places near the city. The room was clean and quite spacious. It was downstairs, near to the breakfast room. The sight from the room was'nt so beautiful, but overall good quality-price relationship.

I asked for a quiet double room and got a triple room in the ground floor with a small window to a wall. We were only looking for a place to be one night between flights so that was not a problem. Since we left at 5am no breakfast - I don't know what the other reviewer made to have it so early but it didn't happen with us. The problem was that the room was really small - I don't understand why it had a wardrobe if it couldn't be open or a desk that couldn't be used...other problem was the fact that the porter English was not that good. But what really upset me was the fact that the taxi that they call us in the early morning charged us 35€ for a 10min ride to the airport (the Hotel told us it would be 25€ and for the trip it would be already expensive)... I after wrote to the Hotel to ask if this was an agreement between the driver and the hotel to what they said no. In any case ask first the taxi driver before you get into it.The taxi didn't have a taximeter and the driver when we complained just said it was a private company price.Obviouslly we were running to catch the flight and couldn't be there complaining... Positive remarks to the Hotel:very comfortable bed, linen, towels and very clean.Depending on the type of trip to Dublin I would decide if I would stay here again or not. I wouldn't advise it for families or romantic holydays.

There was nothing special about this hotel except for the excellent price; e45 a night shared between 2 people- that is cheaper than most hostels in dublin. I couldn't fault the hotel on any aspect (they also had a fry up in the morning if your up on time) and I will be going back there again the next time i'm in the city.

We stayed in Dublin for two days. The hotel is a good choice as it is close to the main tourist attractions without being in an expensive area. The hepdesk, available 24/24, is really interesting when your airplane arrives late noon. Breakfast was excelent, with a simple but tasteful Irish Breakfast. The surroundings are quite calm, and you have a pub a few meters away to enjoy a Guinness or to dinner. A good price/quality compromise, we would certainly stay there if we return to Dublin.

The room was so tiny, no room to move at all. Although being clean there was nothing good to say about the hotel. Staff in dining room were very unfriendly and the breakfast was not cooked properly (not good when you are given under-cooked eggs!). Location was good, but the price was too much for such a small room, and the noise from the adjoining rooms was so loud. Do not expect friendly staff, good food, spacious rooms ar quiet rooms.

This was our first time at Maple Hotel and propably the last one too. When we arrived the hotel mananger showed us to the wrong room and an hour later we had to move to another one. Second of all we couldnt close the bathroom door in the new room, for there had been a leek from the shower and it got the door all swallown. We told the mananger about this problem but nothing was done about it even though we asked him to. He also lied to us and told us that this had been fixed, but it wasnt. We also found out that the lamp that was on the table beside the bed had no plugin so there was no reading light. Pointless. And the remode also didnt work. We staid for five days at Maple's and asked not only once, not only twice but at least twice every day since we arrived that something would be done about this, they just made it slide. We payed for the whole stay soon as we arrived so we couldnt just walk out of the door, wich made it harder for the mananger knew that so he didnt mind doing anything. We really hope that this will be fixed, and we also want you to know that we are not pleased and we will not use your service again.

We were put into a basement room with bedspreads that smelled of smoke. This was the worst hotel that we stayed in while in Europe and also the most expensive. Our room had no light since it was in the basement. It was very cramped. We booked a family suite for 5 which was basically a small room with 3 beds I2 doubles and 1 single) jammed in it. The breakfast was good except for the runny over lightly eggs (I had never seen those before). There was a lot of food which was nice. I think this hotel was overpriced for what it offered. The hotel staff was pleasant but did not care about my complaints of the smoky room or the fact that it was dusty. We were only here 2 nights and our flight was delayed the first night so really we were only there for about 30 hours so for that amount of time we could deal with this hotel.

We came to Dublin to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary and this was the first time we had stayed in Dublin. The room we had was quite small, but very clean. The room was on the main road, so wasn't very quiet, but not too excessive at night. The breakfast was excellent, and staff helpful. When we arrived we were asked to pay in advance, despite our receipt saying pay on departure, but due to staff changes we didn't actually pay until we left anyway. There were problems with the water in the room when we arrived, due to roadworks outside, but we were notified and offered water from the water machine in the kitchen to fill our kettle, so not too much bother really. Thanks.

Comunque tornerei.
