My only disappointment was that there is no WIFI access in the rooms.

This is an excellent small hotel situated in the heart of Dublin's "West End" - brilliantly convenient for shops, cafes, theatres, restaurants. Members of staff were always polite and cheerful, very professional and extremely helpful. We will make a point of using this hotel again when we're in Dublin next year.

A very good hotel regarding location. "everything" in walking distance. Good value for the money. We had only breakfast at the hotel. Found a FANTASTIC Thai dinner restaurant "SIAM" - 6 min. from the hotel towards Discovery centre. A good lunch restaurant at the corner, almost opposite from the hotel.

My wife and i were there for two nights and we would not stay in the Grafton Capital again. Its location is very good and its breakfast which cost 9.50 euros was good. The room was its downfall. The net curtain was black with dirt, the sound on the limited tv channels was faulty, the grout around the bath/shower was filthy and the taps were so old the chrome was gone and so the brass was through. The staff at reception were all foreign and uncaring, when we checked out no one asked 'How was your stay?' Finally their own bar only opens at the weekens even in the summer.

The location of the hotel is very good, near St Stephen's Green and at the end of Grafton Street in a hive of little streets that themselves had a lot of character. The hotel needs a good update. The bathrooms especially could be looked at, our bath/shower leaked so you used the bath mat to mop up the floor after you showered. The room itself was spacious and clean although detail to dusting the corners etc wouldn't go a miss. The breakfast is very basic for the quality of hotel that the Grafton wants to be and it's served in the nightclub that is below the accommodation, a little strange and a bit dark. There is a terraced area but this isn't used for breakfast although that would be lovely and much airer to start the day. if you ask for an upper level room at the back, you don't hear the nightclub too much - we stayed on a Friday and Sat night.

Wearrived late and had a room right on the street; it was incredibly noisy due to a night club downstairs. Moved rooms the next night, much better. Friendly and helpful staff.

Staff is efficient and polite. The hotel is located at a perfect place in dublin (2 min. walking from grafton st.) and the price is reasonable regarding the hotel location.

How to reach Grafton Capital Hotel

By airplane
From Dublin International Airport: drive to the city centre. On arriving into the city, follow signs for O'Connell Street (but do not go as far as O’Connell Street) passing through Drumcondra (a tree-lined street) onto Dorset Street. Turn left onto Upper Gardiner Street and continue on down to the end of the street. Turn left at the traffic lights at the end of the street but then follow the traffic to the right, bringing you to a bridge. Cross the Talbot Memorial Bridge and take an immediate right onto Georges Quay. Stay in the left hand lane and then take a left turn at junction of Burgh Quay and O'Connell Bridge onto D'Olier Street. Follow the road around to the right (passing Trinity College on your left) onto College Street. Follow the one-way system taking a right turn onto Dame Street. Continue through the next two sets of traffic lights and take a left at the third onto South Great George's Street. Continue up South Great George's Street and take the fourth turn left onto Stephen's Street Lower (i.e. the one after Fade Street), where the Grafton Capital Hotel is located.

Alternatively, there are two excellent bus services, which offer regular and inexpensive transport to the city centre. The Aircoach bus departs every 15 minutes from outside the Arrivals Terminal at the airport. Get off at Trinity College (at the bottom of Grafton Street). Walk up to the top of Grafton Street (a pedestrianised street) and when you come to St Stephen's Green, turn right onto South King Street (a pedestrianised street). Walk to the end of South King Street and turn right. The hotel is on your left next to the Break for the Border Bar. Another option is 747 Airlink and 748 Airlink Dublin Bus, which departs every 15 minutes from outside the Arrivals Terminal at the airport. This service brings you to the Central Bus Station in Dublin City Centre.

By ferry
From Dun Laoghaire Port: the fastest and most efficient way of reach the hotel is to take the DART train and get off at Tara Street DART Station. On coming out of station, turn left and continue up along the River Liffey until you reach the O'Connell Bridge. Take a left onto Westmoreland Street and continue on past the entrance to Trinity College onto Grafton Street (a pedestrianised street) Walk up to the top of Grafton Street and when you come to St Stephen's Green, turn right onto South King Street (a pedestrianised street). Walk to the end of South King Street and turn right. The hotel is on your left-hand side beside the Break for the Border Bar.
