Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge - Dublin
Merrion Road Ballsbridge - Dublin
877-662-6988The Bewleys Hotel Ballsbridge has given new life to this grandiose Victorian building, which used to house a prestigious private school. This Dublin Ballsbridge hotel's rather unique interior spaces have been converted into meeting rooms and a restaurant that combine all of the building's character with state-of-the-art facilities. This hotel is also family friendly, offering a reasonably priced children's menu and baby sitting upon request.
There is free wireless Internet access within the public areas and meeting facilities. Also, the hotel's luggage room gives guests the opportunity to check in early.
This property does not allow pets.
Faultless, and a great price too. Highly recommended for any rugby matches at the ...

Faultless, and a great price too. Highly recommended for any rugby matches at the RDS. They coped with a hundred or so thirsty rugby fans drinking lots of pints meeting up before the match with ease.

The room was clean but we were disappointed for the amount we were spending. The carpet had several stains and the windows did not open far for a breeze. We found only 1 ice machine and used the stairs often as the two elevators were always busy. There were several weddings going on at the property and we felt if you were not part of those then you were dismissed quite quickly. When asking for directions from the staff we were informed taxis were outside. We lost our camera in a taxi and the hotel seemed "Oh well" about it. The taxi drivers actually gave us numbers to contact to locate it. The eating places on property were to expensive and did not stay open all day. We started out 20 day vavcation in Dublin and ended it in Dublin. We chose a different location to stay at when we returned at the end of our trip.

I stayed in this hotel on Sat 05/11/11 - At approx 2p.m. on Sat nite I was awakened to really loud noise which continued for approx 1.5/2 hrs - to me the noise was similar to the noise made by plastic containers on wheels full of empty bottles being wheeled on concrete - this seemed to be happening very close to my room which was located on Floor 1 where it was impossible to sleep. If the noise was that which I mentioned i.e. wheelie bins full of bottels - surely this type of work can/should be done during the day - I was staying in the hotel beacuse of it's proximity to a venue where I was doing a tutorial for the weekend - needless to say I found it hard to concentrate at the course on Sunday as I was very tired....would have been better to stay at home & commute to the course on both Sat & Sun...at least I would have slept at home & saved teh cost of the room (100 euros).....Also, when checkign out I wasn't even asked if I was satisfied with my stay...I would definitely not recommend this hotel to others & would not stay in it again.

We were in Dublin the first time. The hotel was very nice and calm. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean, tidy and quiet. Access to the centre was also very good. We were very satisfied. For the next visit to Dublin we certainly choose Bewley´s hotel Ballsbridge.

This hotel and its amenities turned out to be perfect for our family. The location was excellent. Not right in center city but, just a short bus ride away from all the hustle and bustle of town. A good nights rest is most important when we are on vacation and staying in a hotel where there is loud music and bar hoppers is not apart of our agenda. We were able to do all of our touring by bus which stopped right in front of the hotel. The number 4 or 7 bus were an easy catch and always let us out right where we wanted to go. We also enjoyed a full Irish breakfast every morning and had dinner twice at the hotel. For some the price might be a bit costly but for us it was totally worth it. To be honest my family and I fell in love with Ireland. Every single person we encountered was very kind, friendly and helpful. We plan to visit again someday and will stay in this hotel again.

Right next to the RDS showground, but also convenient for the city centre with plenty of buses & taxis available to get you there. The Aircoach from the airport also stops right outside. Staff were extremely helpful & courteous. Rooms aren't at the boutique end of decor, but are well prepared & spacious. Free WiFi throughout, including bedrooms, is a real plus. Would definitely stay again.

Restaurant and Breakfast is very expensive and the Buffet breakfast was not very variable. I own a small 2 star hotel and we have a larger breakfast included in the price.

I thought that, for the price, we would be too far from Dublin attractions. However, the hotel is right on a main street with a quick bus ride to the city center, and only a 20 minute ride from the airport. Three bus lines use the stop in front of the hotel, and the airport shuttle is next to the hotel. It seemed like a luxury hotel, but we paid only 99 euros for a spacious room that was large enough for 4 adults. (2 college-aged daughters). The front-desk staff was extremely helpful. There was a nice looking restaurant which was always busy, but we had always eaten by the time we returned to the hotel. Despite its reputation, Irish food is delicious!

A family of four with two teenagers, we greatly enjoyed this very special hotel during a short summer vacation. It is located in a quiet, stately neighborhood, very well connected by public transportation to the crowded city center and to the other attraction points around Dublin (i.e. Howth and the coast).

We stayed at a family room for three:: my son, my mom, and myself. Very comfortable rooms and beds. No ammenities, though. But you have everything you need to have a coffe or tea at your room. Suggestion brought up by my 7-year old son: please clean de keyboard of the computer in the main hall which can be used by hotel guests with no charge. The Lounge or Bar was very dark and they were doing some restructure. So you were having your meal and the workers would be banging and bringing in material around you. Not the best of environments! Plus, we found the prices very expensive to eat at the Hotel's Lounge. But as I said, the room was very comfortable and with lots of light and nice view...

This is a really nice, clean, and friendly hotel. The rooms were spacious, and the front desk staff was helpful. Although it is in a nice, safe location, it is a bit of a walk to a lot of the touristy destinations. It isn't a bad walk, though -- probably about 25-30 minutes, and along a lot of really pretty streets. Two things I'd watch out for: 1). The wi-fi connection isn't strong in the rooms (although it's great in the downstairs lobby); and 2). The hotel's restaurant is really expensive. Overall, though, great stay!
