We were on the top floor, which was quiet. Our room was spacious. The bed was a double bed which I found comfortable but my partner didn't. He's used to a bigger bed. The water in the bath was hot - but I detected the faintest smell of urine. The night receptionist provided us with extra milk and sugar for our tea and both receptionists were charming. The hotel overall was clean, spacious, calm. We didn't eat breakfast or dinner there, but the menu looked good value for money. The location was excellent, just round the corner from O'Connell St and Parnell Square. Parking was two blocks away - €12 for 24 hours. I would stay there again.

Hotel of good quality a few steps from O'Conell street. Good spaciousness of the rooms, and a competent staff. This was my third stay at the hotel.

The Belvedere Hotel is situated just a few steps from O'Connell Street and 1.4 Km from the center of Dublin and is easily reached from the stop of Aircoach. At the Reception, once we saw that we were italian, called an italian Receptionist who gave us all the information in italian. Our room perched above the entrance of the hotel and it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom, of average size, had a large bath with shower. In the 3 nights that we stayed we have not heard much noise from the street, even if we stay in weekdays, so I don't know if the situation is different on weekends. Overall a good Hotel for visiting the center of Dublin without taking public transportations.

Everything was ok, but the room was pretty small. I could hardly open the room's door due to it hits with the bedroom, so that it was very unconfortable enter in the room. Despite this I recomend this hotel

We stayed twice during our vacation. The first time the room was spacious and clean. The second time we were placed is a room that could only have been a closet. It was poorly maintained, dirty, mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, strange hairs in the tub. The room barely accommodated the bed. After requesting a change of room the next morning we were promptly placed in the first room. The hotel is not in the best part of town although we felt safe. If you stay here check out the room before committing to it.

Very noisy; some of the fixtures needed routine maintenance. Lots of noisy school groups who tended to take over the dining room at breakfast, the small lobby and entrance. Staff at front desk were friendly and helpful.

We booked a double room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, apart from the smell of smoke troughout the corridors and the room itself, which was not that pleasant. This was the only reason of disappointment. The staff was nice and helpful. Good quality-price ratio.

Excellent relationship price/quality. Continental breakfirst avail for 6.5euros. Very good location (5 minutes to all buses connections). Easy for car park but expensive (>2euros/hour). Stay extended in the same hotel due to volcanic ash, had same room rate: Excellent customer services.

I stayed at the Belvedere Hotel with my hubby, although we were visiting family in Templeogue, I wanted him to have a bit of the touristy thing in Dublin. Being so central enabled us to go to trinity, Bewleys, Kylemore, and Stephen's Green, Brazen Head for music etc. We both enjoyed our stay and thought the standards overall were very good - would recommend to others.

The room in the hotel was extremely large and very clean. We eat at the restaurant and were very pleased with their service. The breakfast was not part of the rate. It was a little expensive, the selection was large and we have a teenager who made sure we got our monies worth. The hotel was very convient to downtown Dublin. The way the hotel is laid out you felt safe and in a friendly environment. We definitely recommend this hotel.

Very central, great city centre location - for galleries, shopping, restaurants etc; helpful staff. Not too noisy on a Sunday night - could be noisier on a Friday or Saturday.

Our first trip to Dublin and we were delighted to be staying at the Belvedere, the family room was spacious, lovely and quiet, as requested, and a great bathroom. We enjoyed a fab meal in the bar/pub attached to the hotel. Attractions and shopping were only a short walk away. Recommended!

The hotel was generally a good value as we were looking for a budget minded option however, the street it was on was quiet by day but very noisy at night with no sound insulation in the rooms from outside noises.

The belvedere is a good quality/price ratio choice in dublin. it is on the north side of the liffey (most attractions are too the south) but, you are in the heart of the city after a 10min walk. the room was clean and spacious. the front desk staff was very helpful. the one drawback is the fact that underneath the hotel is a pub and it is quite noisy when pub-goers leave.

Transportation:

There are numerous ways of getting to the hotel.

Airlink (#747) is an express bus that you can catch from outside the Arrivals at the Airport and will take you to O'Connell Street (the Main street in City centre). € 5.00 one way

Aircoach (big blue bus) is a airport bus that has a circular route & will drop you at the Gresham hotel in O'Connell Street. € 6.00 one way

Taxi - plenty taxis at the airport - approximately €20 - will take you directly to the hotel. Great Denmark Street opposite Barrys Hotel is the destination we give them.

16a Bus (normal dublin bus) — € 1.30 & will drop you in O'Connell Street. This we don't recommened as you will have a problem with luggage on the bus. Once in O'Connell Street look away from the river liffey, you will see a church at the top of a hill, walk toward the church (you will be walking up Parnell Square EAST) and at the top the next road right is Gardiner Row / Great Denmark Street. We are about 100 metres down the road on the right. Red Face Brick building.

From the South (ie: the Liffy River) — Walking
Walk straight up to the very top of O'Connell Street (away from the river - walking on the right side of O'Connell Street). At the end the road to cross directly over is Parnell Street, carry on up to the to of the hill (walking up Parnell Square East). At the top there is a Red & white Candy store - Turn right into Gardiner Row, which directly becomes Great Denmark Street. We are approximately 50 metres from the Candy store - on the right.
