First time stay.. was alright for somewhere cheapish to stay.. walls were discouloured in room from dampness, the window was broken and a loud ventilation fan near the window made a lot of noise... but otherwise its okay if you just need somewhere to stay a night in the city.

On the mezzanine floor there is a nightclub open every night so, for the guests of the first two floors, is quite impossible to sleep. The building is old and shabby. The interior is covered with a carpet worn and dirty and there is a bad smell everywhere. Our room was dirty, old and cramped. Outside the window there was a pile of cigarettes and the windows were not soundproof so you could hear every single noise coming from outside. The bathroom was in a pitiful state, shower curtains were dirty and on the wall there was also a huge pool of blood. The only positive note in this squalor is the central location.

The location is absolutely great, you are at the heart of everything. We went in January and i can imagine like most of Dublin it would get noisier in peak season. There is a very loud air conditioning unit which can be heard even with the window closed, no problem if you've enjoyed Dublin or a heavy sleeper. You can safely leave bags if you arrive early or need to leave late, staff are very friendly. The hotel main areas are well worn, and if you look closely you can find faults - however for the price and location and staff you cannot go wrong thank you.
