I had a nice room overlooking the graveyard and a patch of wasteland. My taxi driver found the hotel difficult to locate. There were not enough people on reception and I was surprised people were allowed to smoke in the bar where many were eating.

The hotel seems almost new. The rooms are ok, the bathroom could be better but isn't bad. The pool is medium/small. There is nothing in the surrounds, but by car you are very close to everywhere in Dubai. In fact, this hotel seems good comparing the price. The problem that I found in this hotel was the organization and the employees. One thing very important in a hotel is the welcoming, and mine wasn't good. No sympathy, trying to complicate unstead of resolve minor problems. Then at the breakfast I saw unbelievable things, like pike up some forks and knifes of guests that were allready gone and hadn't use them, to give me because they hadn't more... For me that was enough. This hotel could be good, but is not!

Nice clean, modern rooms. Location of hotel is not in the middle of the action, and need to catch a taxi to get around, but taxis are inexpensive and you would need public transport from most places anyway. Must see in Dubai, Gold souk, any of the amazing shopping malls, 4WD desert adventure is also good. Taxi to most destinations within city about 20 derhams (AU$7-8). Compared to other hotels in Dubai, price of hotel for the quality is good. Would stay again.
