Hotel Scholars Townhouse - Drogheda

It was our first time here,my wifes Uncle and his grandson stayed there before,and recomended it to us,we were staying there for a sad occasion,so next time it will be a happy one.we really liked it.

Nice place, good parking space, nice staff

Bedroom was so small there was not enough room to swing a kitten, let alone a cat! Hotel rather difficult to find. Apart from this, it was fine.

The hotel is an old building converted into a hotel. It had been refurbished to a high standard and was now completely up to date but had retained a great deal of character. The front of the hotel had a terraced garden that had fountains which were very relaxing. the whole place was quiet and calm while the bar attracted friendly groups of people. My room lacked for nothing apart from a little more space and the outlook was very scenic. The en-suite was immaculate and was well provided. I recommend a visit to Millmount Castle which had friendly staff who spent time explaining what was there. The Boyne Valley was marvellous. Tara was very evocative.

Staff welcomed us even though we arrived very early, about 9:30 AM. They arranged breakfast for us on th spot. The public rooms were very nicely appointed
