The hotel and rooms were just as promised! It is a short walk to the major attractions of Dresden, but the hotel itself was very quiet (in early March). The staff were pleasant and helpful--and spoke English much better than I spoke German! If you don't have much luggage, it's a reaonable walk from Neustadt Station to the hotel, otherwise an inexpensive cab ride. I would highly recommend the Rothenburger Hof Aparthotel. If ever I have the chance to return to Dresden, I would definitely stay here again. The room I stayed in was quite small, but perfectly acceptable for a single person. I have no information about the size of any other type of room.

Although this hotel is located in the "new" section of Dresden, it is within walking distance of most of the sights in "old" Dresden. The neighborhood surrounding the hotel is a little rundown, but nothing to worry about. For the Venere price, I had an apartment! - large bed/living area, foyer, full kitchen (with furniture) and a nice-sized bathroom. The breakfast buffet was outstanding!

An excellent apartment, excellent value at the reduced rate provided. Facilities were very clean, comfortable and quiet. Hotel staff were pleasant, competent and attentive. The breakfasts were wonderful. Pool and sauna area was very nice. Hotel is located on a tram route, very conveniently, with several good quality restaurants nearby. Staff recommendations for eating were very helpful. We would certainly return to this hotel next time at the reduced rate offered and have no hesitation to recommend it to others. Easily the best value hotel we stayed in in Germany.

Totalmente recomendable.

This was our first trip to Dresden, a very beautiful city well worth a visit. It's unbelievable that so much of the historic centre has been restored after the 1945 catastrophe. The hotel is located in a slightly bohemian but nice area within easy reach of whatever you need. It takes about 20-25 minutes to walk to Frauenkirche or Semperoper. There is a well supplied food shop a couple of blocks away. The hotel breakfast is magnificent, although the breakfast room might have been a bit more spacious. Only drawback with this hotel is that it does not have a car park, so drivers are referred to the street outside, which is ok (and cheap: 3 Euro/24 hs), but not ideal for long-term parking.

We stayed at this 4 star hotel for four nights in the first week of April 2008, on our first city-break to Dresden. We found it clean and comfortable and the service very efficient. There was a wide selection at the buffet breakfast. The hotel is located in the 'bohemian' area of Neustadt. The surrounding streets are a bit scruffy in places, but there is a great selection of restaurants and the locality is quite buzzy. We enjoyed the Rothenburger Hof Hotel and would certainly stay there again.

Did not expect a sitting room and kitchen, which turned out to be very useful. Superb choice at breakfast. Walking distance to Pfund's Dairy and also to the Art Passage, both well worth a visit.

We stayed here to celebrate the 60th birthday of one of our group of four. We could not have had a happier stay. The hotel was so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for the excellent and effcient staff. We will certainly stay there again.

In general it is a very good hotel. However it doesn't have air conditioners or fans. So sleeping during a heat wave in Europe was a torchure.
