Not the fault of the hotel, but the tram line is under re-construction and it's necessary to take a bus one stop to get there or walk 10 minutes. Not a big deal once you know about it, but confusing at first. Disappointing that internet is not free. Otherwise, air conditioning was WONDERFUL during the current heat wave. Nice hotel.

A bit bland, but nevertheless a good hotel for our needs. Public transport was good, but we found it close enough to walk to the old city (20-30 minutes).

The hotel surrounding is not so pretty, but we don't stay the whole day in the hotel.~15 minutes with the tram (station in front of the hotel)to the historical center of dresden. From the airport drive a bus to the "Bahnhof Neustadt" for 1,80 € p.p. & then you go ~10minutes to the hotel, or take a taxi (from airport ~25/30€) When you want to eat in the city; try "Sophienkeller" in the area of "Dresdner Zwinger"-VERY GOOD!

We wanted a long weekend in Dresden on a budget. We found the hotel to be very clean and quiet, breakfast was very good. The neighborhood was a little shabby but we had no problems there. If you want to walk to the Altstadt it takes about half an hour or so. It's not right in the heart of things but it's close enough. I found the bed to be uncomfortable but my husband had no complaints.
