exterior In 1884, a Venetian nobleman, Count Giulio Rocca, built his splendid Villa in the brillant greenery of a magnificent park along the placid shores of the Brenta River. White marble nymphs and allegorical statues of the four season peak out from behind centuries-old trees surrounded by fountains and well heads before and the melancholic old stables at the end of the garden. A mere 15 minutes from romantic Venice and ancient Padova, Villa Ducale offers an ideal point of departure for the discovery of the fascinating Veneto countryside. Public buses that stop right in front of the Hotel’s majestic gate provide direct service from Dolo to these two cities of art.
Subjected to patient and careful renovation at the start of the “Nineties, the Villa has now been restored to all its original splendour and sober elegance.
The floors in the Hall and the rooms have regained their brilliance, the stucco work its delicate forms, and every room is adorned by frescoes and sumptuous mirrors in Murano glass also used for the elegant chandeliers that shed their light on the soft curtains and gleaming furniture.

How to reach Hotel Villa Ducale

By car
From Milano-Bologna: take the A4 Autostrada and exit Dolo-Mirano, then follow signs to Mira–Dolo. When you arrive in the centre of Dolo, go straight on and after 1 km you will find on your left Villa Ducale.

By train
Venice–Mestre rail- station: take the subway under the train station in the direction "Marghera", cross the road and walk for 50 yards. You’ll find the bus stop on your right. It takes about 20 minutes to get Dolo.

By airplane
From Marco Polo airport: take the bus to Piazzale Roma and buy a bus ticket to Dolo and catch the bus marked Dolo or Padova. The hotel is at 20 km from Marco Polo Airport in Tessera (Venice) and 40 Km from Treviso Airport.

By public transportation
From Santa Lucia train station: cross the Degli Scalzi bridge ( in front of the station) and keep walking straight for 2 minutes just to Piazzale Roma. Here you could buy a bus ticket for Dolo and catch the bus marked Dolo or Padova. It leaves at the stop Corsia C4. Ask the driver the closest bus stop to the hotel Villa Ducale.
