Hotel Villa Ducale - Dolo

Wow! This is a stunning place with lots of character. We were amazed by the fabulous Murano glass chandeliers everywhere, marble staircase and 15 foot ceilings! The reception area has a huge fireplace and the formal gardens are just fantastic. We had a superb dinner (the maitre d' was just great) and for breakfast we had the best and most varied selection we have had anywhere. The staff were very helpful guiding us to the bus across the road into Venice. (about 40mins) We would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet stay in a classic Italian Villa.

The hotel is a perfect match for those searching for non-expensive and luxury stay near Venice. The hotel is something like 19th century villa with a very spacious rooms. The bus station that brings you to Venice is just outside hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. The only problem we faced in this hotel - is a "paper thin" walls (we could hear everything that was happening in a room nearby) and some food during breakfast was cold although it was supposed to be warm. Anyway I could treat this as a 4* star hotel and would definitely choose it for my next trip to Venice and recommend it to others.

Dolo is perfect situated for visitors of the ancient villas in the Venetian arrea.

Excellent accommodation for reasonable price. Conveniently located in proximity of Venice and Padova. Opportunity for cycling to close by sights.

It is very nice and quite place where you can feel an athmosphere as a venetian family two century ago.... In front of the hotel there is a bus stop so you can reach Venice in half an hour very easily, the same when you come back from there. The last bus leave Venice at midnight so you can decide to spend the evening there.... If you prefer to have a dinner in a family restaurant where fish is very special, you can try "Trattoria Marina" that is closed to the hotel, quality vs price is great!

Everything you can expect!

It's amazing to stay in such a marvelous villa and to enjoy the atmosphere there. The other likewise buildings in the neighbourhoods are amazing too. Only two things in our Hotel gave reason for complaint. The minor one was missing german television. The other one we didn't like was noise. During night the heating appliance was too loud and our room was next to the street (concerns room 23), so that cars driving past disturbed our sleep.

A nice villa located directly on the brenta canal in a nice park like described on the homepage - staff was very friendly - rooms clean and comfortable - relationship between price and quality was absolutely adequate
