Hotel Post - Dobbiaco

The hotel is in a nice and quiet part of Dobbiaco. We had a small room (difficult to put the luggage). The room was very clean. The dinners were mostly good, but not at the last night (we don't know why). Nice parking lot.

This 3 star hotel is situated in a lovely part of Dobbiacio. Upon arrival (mid afternoon) there was no one at reception (nor a bell) and we had to call out in order to attract some sort of service. Our room was clean and satisfactory from a size and furnishings point of view (bed was good), although the shower screen required attention as it almost fell off its tracks when moved. Breakfast was relatively basic (limited selection), with the buns being stale and dishes not being re-filled when almost empty. Service at breakfast was also of a sub standard quality. Upon checking out the following morning, again no one was at reception and then to compound matters, when we did eventually receive service, the printer would not work to produce an invoice. It is interesting to note that the last review was in 2007 which was quite favourable (along with earlier reviews) and one wonders whether there may have been a change of management, as our experience certainly did not mirror the earlier reviews,with service being vitually non existant.

My wife and I found Hotel POST exactly as we had pictured it. The owner and staff were extremely helpful and could not have been more accomodating. We loved it and will definitely return. Dobbiaco-Toblach is an extraordinary place and very convenient to many wonderful trails and bike paths. Superb!

We reserved the Hotel Post in Dobbiaco, but when we arrived, the hotel was closed.Venere agency made us a reservation in another hotel,called Urthäler, in the same conditions.Urthäler hotel was very clean,and the room was huge.We are completely satisfied with this change.

Hotel Post is good for everyone. The hotel staff was very nice and kindness. It was my first time and I will come back again

My husband and I stayed at the post for five days of cross-country skiing and we will certainly go back. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and the food was surprisingly good. The only negative was the connecting door between our room and that of another (locked, obviously), which admitted a good deal of noise. When my husband mentioned this to the staff they offered to give us another room, but ours was large and sunny, so we stayed where we were. An excellent value and we recommend the Post highly.

I've enjoyed my staying very much. Very good hotel location, new and clean room, very tasty dinner and breakfast. Relatively cheap prices. And first of all great service and constant willing to help. I recommend it to all travellers and definately will come there again.

Great welcome and spotless room. This is s lovely hotel, the hallways filled with interesting and historic artifacts. We stayed on a HB basis - the food was delicious and great value at 78 euros a double. We would highly recommend this property!
