Rooms were spacious but furniture was cheap and uninspired and mattresses and pillows hard as bricks!! Hand towels and washcloths were grimy (stained?). Hskg. staff should be trained to retire linens when they get to that degree of wear or are no longer able to be cleaned properly. Desk staff very warm and accommodating. There was NO WiFi.

I was a very minor owner of the hotel in the early 70's, and it was delightful to see the improvements and expansion from about 25 rooms, only two of which had private baths. I did miss some of Dingle's quaintness, i.e., the brook which has been covered, but chalk it up to progress. It was also nice to meet my old fellow owner, John Dineen. I have talked much about Dingle and the Benners to my friends and hopefully some of them will vist you.

We loved Dingle & the hotel was very nice- But - our room had 2 windows out on to a balcony terrace accessed from the hallway to a fire escape. This was used by other guests as their smoking area. It was a hot weekend and there was no air conditioning so we had to keep the heavy shades up. Twice I came out of the shower and gave the other guests a bit of a show. Extrememly embarrassing. The desk clerk was unsympathetic said there were no rooms - the duty manager was the same - until my husband pressed him to give a rate reduction for the room- he chose to do nothing on his own & didn't seem to care. Disappointed with the staff.
