Simple, but comfortable hotel in terrific location in centre of town. 17th century building. Quaint and faintly eccentric. Good continental breakfast. Very friendly and competent staff. Street parking outside (pay at meter) but free street parking a couple of blocks away on rue Diderot.

A nice little hotel, very cheap and good value, picturesque staircase. Rather disconcerting that the window opened on to a corridor

This was our second overnight at the Chambellan, which provides an ideal stopover when we're driving down to the Alps for our annual skiing holiday. The hotel is modest (as reflected in the price), but absolutely fine. It's interestingly old (steep stairs up to the top floor - perhaps not ideal for people with mobility problems or loads of luggage), and wonderfully centrally situated for a bit of sightseeing on foot around the historic part of Dijon.

Within walk distance to all major attractions, friendly staff, credit card machine broken, I left my credit card number to the staff, charged later, kept monitoring the credit card number, safe.

Our stay in Dijon was great. We liked your hotel, even if the bathroom was a little to small... But the room was really OK. I would really recommend "La Comedie" restaurant from Place du Theatre.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Firstly its situation in the old quarter of Dijon was great. It had an old world charm. The people manning reception were very pleasant and helpful with most having sufficient English to help us.Unfortunately our room was rather dark but it was clean and comfortable. The doors needed oiling to stop them squeaking and the bathroom dooor wouldn't close properly. Breakfast was not included in the rate but available for 5.25 euros pp and was good value. We found the hotel was in walking distance of anywhere in the city. All the other guests were travellers like us and a mix of all ages andcountries. I do recommend this hotel

We were very impressed with the Hotel and loved Dijon. The service is excellent for the very reasonable accomodation price. We had a room with shared bathroom - which was 4 rooms on the landing sharing the facilities - they were very clean, close to the doorway of the rooms, and we didn't see other quests using them. The Hotel is very close to the historic part of town so very easy to wander around. The biggest issue is getting bags up stairs.

This hotel was fine for a one or two night stay. The room was dark and at night time noisy even though it was at the back of the hotel. We could hear the coming and goings of other guests through the night.

We stayed three nights. We were very pleased with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean. The breakfasts were good. We were grateful for the help of the staff in obtaining secure parking for our car during our stay in Dijon. We should be happy to stay at Hotel Le Chambellan again and will recommend it to others.

The hotel is located centrally to Dijon, walking distance to the centre of town. The experience was let down by the fact that there were insects in my bed and a mouse in my room. When raised with the staff, all I got was a shrug of the shoulders and "C'est la vie." It was a cheap hotel, so my expectations were set accordingly. That said, one does not expect to share a room with too much of the local faunae.

The welcoming was very poor. Nobody tried to help us in any way. The receptionist talked NO English and was very moody. The room on the street side was very noisy!

Hotel with character - more than expected for an overnight stop. Very close to sites and good restaurants. Comfortable rooms. NOT easy to find, directions poor - a street map of Dijon is needed, take note of one-way systems! Breakfast not most exciting but adequate. Overall, however, very good.

They all were very nice and tried to help us to find restaurants and places to see. The room was huge. The toilet was a bit cold but we managed to leave the door open and warm it( The toilet was in a small room separeted from the bathroom). There are some stairs (1st floor) to our room but we could carry the bags up without problem. The breakfast was good. The Tv has only french programmes. It´s a very good place to stay,I certainly recommend it.

It is a small hotel situated in the old town within walking distance from all the major historic sites. It felt very romantic to stay in a building that dates back to the 15th Century and is rated as one of the historic sites in Dijon. The hotel has a friendly and welcoming ambience. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and tried their best to assist us in English. Rooms are big and comfortable. When we found it difficult to haul our luggage up the narrow wooden staircase, the receptionist not only assisted us but immediately offered to switch us to a room on a lower level. We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Le Chambellan.
