We were really disappointed for the photos on the web and reality didn't match. The room corresponds to one star, not three ! It is small, old-fashioned and ugly- not to mention the bathroom ! And the parking lot contains only 6 places. So, where can you park ???? When I told the receptionist it wasn't what we had seen on the web, she ansxered "You can get off if it doesn't suit you". That's what we did! If you want nice holidays instead of a nightmare, DON'T GO THERE !

Stanza sporca, la tv non andava, personale non proprio simpatico e colazione improponibile, sopratutto per questo prezzo. Unico punto positivo era la piscina.

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés, nous n'avions pas d'eau froide dans la douche. la chambre était petite, non climatisée, ni ventilation et il y avait beaucoup de bruit. Les meubles sont de très bas de gamme, on dirait de la récupération. les photos sur le site internet ne correspondent pas du tout à l'hotel.Nous avons changé de chambre mais elle se ressemble et il y a beaucoup de rénovation à faire. Petit déjeuner tres moyen, les croissants sentent le plastique. Je n'y retournerai surement pas. desormais je choisirai un 4 etoiles pour ne pas me tromper. l'hotel est quand meme bien situé, pres du centre et de la mer.

PRO: l'unico hotel che accettava il pernotto per una sola notte ad un prezzo contenuto (86euro) Personale cordiale e gentile. CONTRO: Camera sporca. Nel bagno appena arrivati c'erano capelli neri per terra nel lavandino e nella vasca. Il copriletto era sporco, sembrava ci fosse una macchia di sangue. Colazione compresa ma molto misera.

der angebotene Preis von VENERE, für das Zimmer mit Frühstück, war 10 Euro über dem Preis, der angeschlagen ist an der Zimmertüre im Hotel! Und der angeschlagene Preis wäre erst noch mit Voll Pension gewesen !!! Ein reiner Beschiss!

Noisy pipes and elevator next to the room, poor bathroom with broken tap and small shower, nice swimming pool but sad suroundings and no service, boring breakfast with dry bred and stinking marmelade, tired employees and cold hostess, really not worth the 192 euros per night!!! The city is nevertheless a very nice place to discover.

Hotel con pochissimi parcheggi e tutti a pagamento in zona molto trafficata. La TV in camera non aveva l'antenna e la colazione era di qualità davvero bassa... In Liguria devono ringraziare di avere il mare pulito perchè la cortesia e la qualità non sono purtroppo più di casa...

Terrible. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights, after having spent a week at a wonderful, family run hotel in Bordighera. The room was very basic, no aircon, 40 watt light bulb in the spartan bathroom, blood stains on the walls, dirty pillows. It reminded me of my old working conditions in Iraq. Yes, that bad. We checked out after one night, luckily the little hotel in Bordighera had us back. The owners of the Royal Esplanade are having a laugh. They are only interested in making as much money as possible and treat their guests with contempt. Avoid at all costs.

Ottima accoglienza all'arrivo. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Di contro camera piuttosto brutta e mal curata e con bagno vecchio. Addirittura non era possibile miscelare l'acqua dei rubinetti;o doccia fredda o doccia calda. Colazione normale, niente di particolare. Aria condizionata non presente nella struttura. Meglio spendere qualcosa di piu'.

Sehr guter Service, nett und kulant. Fruehstueck ist etwas ueber dem Durchschnitt. Das restliche Essen koennen wir nicht beurteilen, da wir auswaerts gegessen haben (soll aber sehr gut sein). Die Gegend ist sehr schoen. Die Zimmer sind sauber. Für Italienische Verhaeltnisse auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

We had a very pleasant stay, but the hotel itself had seen better days - a little old fashioned and rather stark. Wonderful pool facilities - better than the small and extremely scruffy beach.

Royal Esplanade was a hotel that can be characterized as a mediocre good value for money solution. Their Pool is their greatest pro and their service is one that resembles a family style atmosphere.

Hotel semplice, complessivamente discreto. Un 10 e lode per la piscina che è davvero spettacolare e che fa la differenza con tutto il resto....probabilmente se dovessi tornarci sarebbe solo per la piscina, davvero bella. Il personale è gentile, le camere discrete anche se manca l'aria condizionata. Nel complesso il mio giudizio è sufficiente.

We had a very nice stay at the Royal Esplanade hotel. The hotel is well described on their homepage, and you will not experience any negative surprises. Nice pool, but no air condition. The town is very small and one week is a sufficient stay in Diano Marina. Be aware that 90% of the beach areas belongs to different hotels forcing you to pay for renting sunbeds.

The room was small, and the shower is one of those plastic boxes with a curtain that leaks all over the floor. We were there in August, and it was VERY hot. The room has no AC, and although reception assured us that it was cool at night, it wasn't, and they said they had no electric fans to offer guests. On the plus side, the pool is beautiful and enormous (although beware, they make you buy/bring your own towel and do not allow you to use hotel towels at the pool -- ??), and the breakfast was great. Staff was very friendly. Great location in terms of distance to shops and beach.

I really appeciated the generosity of the lady at the reception. My friend could not joined me to this 3-day vacation for work reasons and when I asked whether is possible not to pay her part she was very responsive and positive and charged me with the price of a single room. The beach was within reach, as well as the centre. I suggest this place for all who wants comfort in a very well situated hotel at a quiet ambient.

L'hotel è caratterizzato da personale molto disponobile e qualificato in grado di fornire anche informazioni turistiche sulla località.È situato in una posizione che permette di raggiungere in qualche minuto sia il centro sia la spiaggia.Inoltre dispone di un ampio spazio retrostante occupato dalla piscina per chi ama coccolarsi. in conclusione si può affermare che la località abbinata all'hotel rende il soggiorno molto piacevole.

L'accoglienza e la sistemazione in generale sono risultate pienamente rispondenti alle aspettative. Il prezzo è sicuramente vantaggioso. Qualche perplessità sulla cucina e sulle aree di parcheggio: manca un garage e all'esterno, pure in area privata e garantita da assicurazione, le auto sono stipate in spazi assai ridotti.

Very nice hotel, kind staff and simple but clean and not small rooms&bathrooms..I'd definitly suggest this hotel for a quiet stay in Riviera Ponente, in summer must be very nice. The only thing was the poor breakfast, I arrived 15 minutes before its end, but quite nothing was left...

Twin-Room: Klein, recht ruhig, Dusche/WC ordentlich, aber auch recht klein. Alles in allem aber alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Für anspruchsvolle Leute sind dann sicher die anderen Hotelzimmer zu empfehlen ;)

Very good hotel very good value for money, only used bed and breakfast and the swimming pool only used twice as the beach is within easy reach and lots of restaurants in the area. I can recommend this property to people with children as well as couples.

Hotel pulito ed accogliente, struttura vicina al centro ed allo stesso tempo in un area silenziosa e tranquilla. Personale competente e gentile. Consigliatissimo. Ottimo.

Travelling with a child, we picked this hotel based on the pool and playground facilities. These turned out to be very good, and there was an excellent play room indoors as well. The staff was very nice, and there was a good family feel about the place. The breakfast was nice as well. Unfortunately, our room was dirty (dust blanket under the beds, and all crooks and corners not cleaned for a long time) - not great for a toddler - and the bed was worn out and not conducive to a good night's sleep. So: despite some very positive aspects, the critical components of the experience, namely the bed & the room, were unacceptable.

Nice hotel excluding the poor water pressure in the shower. Also airconditioning would have been great. Big swimming pool and a welcoming party with snacks and drinks.

A pleasant hotel with a lovely pool and efficient staff. The rooms are quite minimalist though so don't go expecting luxury or even pictures on the walls of your room. The hotel is a short walk from the centre along a nice avenue.

We only booked for three nights bed & breakfast but took the opportunity to have our evening meal in the restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful especially Denise, who is English and gave us advise on where to visit etc. We would highly reccommend and intend to use the hotel again.
