A nice hotel just in front of the beach with a low price partnership of services to it. Wery good cooking, staff friendly, room confortable, very good cleaning with changing of blaket two times a week. On the other side, the hotel is near the railway so you must close the windows and use AC. Reastaurant timetable is a little too strict and thare aren't facilities for diasebles.

We had a great easter in the hotel palace. Had a very nice sea view room on the top floor, which was lovely. Location very good-right on the sea front, close to the centre but away from any noise. The town was much better than we had thought it would. Enough cafes and restaurants to give us plenty of choice. Good location as lots of other nice towns nearby to visit and local train station and bus stop made it very easy to get around. Only thing we didn't like so much was that everyone else was given Easter eggs on the Sunday-but not us as we weren't half board! Made us feel like we weren't valued customers and less important than everyone else.

We took a chance going to Italy in february, and although not a peak season, we found the stay very nice, comfortable and interesting. The hotel is a very nice place to visit, with very good service and also the tow and the surroundings are very interesting and nice. Overall a top-class stay.

We had an attic type room on the top, it gave us a smaller balcony and perhaps a smaller room, but it was quiter and more private since people from the beach could not look at the balcony very easy. Overall it was a great location, just a bit out of the main busy promenade. The room was cleaned well each day which isn't an easy task at the beach to remove all the sand.It is a bit pricey, but it was beach front in the summer on the Italian Rivera - it doesn't get much better than that.

We were delighted with our hotel find on venere.com. The multilingual staff were extremely welcoming, polite and friendly. We had not planned to dine in but the standard of food and the menu prompted us to change our minds on four occasions during the week! Minor suggestions we would make are to include tea-making facilities in the room and a small fridge for that glass of chilled wine on the evening balcony, and clearer information about the unavailability of hotel car-parking: local street parking is chargeable throughout the year. We very much hope to return another year (but guess we would not opt for the high seasons).

What a fantastic hotel. The food, rooms and especially the crew that gave us a royal treatment during our stay. It was our second time in hotel Palaca and this time even better. We were very warm welcomed by the hotel owner, even with a bottle of champagne, thank you again. The crew in the restaurant were great, thanks to Michel, Victor, Giancarlo, Tarik and the nice guy with beard. Our last comment is on Andrew, who made our Espresso and Limoncello a real treat in the hotelbar. Great Beach in front of the hotel (Bagni Lino) and some nice bars near the hotel (Skipper and Jammin). Village is nice and has great shops and boutiques for male and female. We hope to come back next year and enjoy all the good things that Hotel Palace has to offer!!

A hotel which is run in a very professional yet friendly manner. Sea view rooms offer great views. Very relaxing to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Rooms nicely refurbished. Dining room (which is run with some style) offers food which is truly excellent and the lounge for after dinner is very pleasant. Half board (and full board too presumbaly) represents excellent value.

The staff was wonderfully helpful and very professional. The room was very comfortable and clean. Although ours wasn't oceanfront, we enjoyed the air conditioning and the view of the sea from the side balcony just as much. The half-board meals were delicious with generous choices and excellent service (fantastic mussels and pesto pasta). Since we enjoy the fun of choosing different restaurants and like to wander, the half-board was a bit constricting, though. The town itself is a lovely beachtown with oranges dangling from the trees, but it's definitely a beach resort town with crowded beaches and lounge chairs you must rent -- confusing for a first-timer. The beach front is very noisy in the day and nicely quiet at night. If you want a mid-priced beach experience, this hotel is one of the best, but don't let this be your only stop on the Ligurean coast, or you'll miss the local texture.

We had some days in the italian Riviera. Diano Marina was a great place to start, it offers walks and rides and sea and a very good beach just adjacent to the hotel. Main Problem of the hotel: we are nearing 60, and we were the youngest guests we could spot...Service very good, no air conditioner in room, and the food at the hotel is plenty but mediocre, relative to what the restaurants offer in quality. Breakfast good and the surroundings are great.

Only stayed one night after an early evening arrival in Nice, France and left right after breakfast in the morning. We were welcomed quite warmly and all the staff were politely helpful. Hotel is a little away from the Diano Marina center but it was not a long walk to find a restaurant for dinner. Nice room and roomy bath with good shower. Breakfast was great. Parking could be a problem in summer. Will probably stay there again as it makes a great stop on our way from Nice to our home near Lucca.

My wife and I could not have wished for a better holiday. Bearing in mind I was very ill right at the start, the management and staff were more than helpful and gave my wife and I a great deal of support and assurance while I was in hospital. Anybody can provide somewhere to sleep and eat but it takes a special team to makes sure that you are looked after when you find yourself a long way from home in a foreign country. The Palace Hotel have such a team and I would whole-heartedly assure anyone looking for a superb hotel with a very high quality of cuisine and service that they will find it there. The surroundings were superb when we were there during October and you will find the inhabitants very welcoming too. Even at that time of year the evenings were warm and there were several days when wind surfers and Italian visitors made use of the pleasant beaches. Plenty of places to go to sight-see. Also plenty of reasonable restaurants for lunches and evening meals even that late in the year but you'll have to make sure you make reservations early in October as the area tends to close down for November to refurbish ready for the Christmas holiday season. Needless to say, we will be making every effort to return as soon as possible!

Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was on the small size as was the balcony but it was immaculate and well equipped and the view made up for a lot! We had B & B which was an extensive buffet and ate in local restaurants. There was a wide choice within 10 minutes or so walk. Parking was nearby at a charge of 6 euros a day. If we return to the area we would certainly stay there again.

If you visit the Italian Riviera then stay in Diano Marina at the Palace Hotel! The hotel has been newly refurbished to a very high standard with spacious rooms and great views of the sea even from side-view balconies. The quality and the choice of food is excellent and served in lovely surroundings. The real secret to the appeal of the Palace Hotel is the wonderful staff.Superbly managed by Loris and Elisabeth, all the staff work hard to ensure that the guests enjoy their stay. The location of the hotel is great for either the beach or the town centre which is 5 mins walk. The only improvement that we would wish to see is a small refrigerator in the room and a small reading light on the balcony.

Excellent gem of a hotel right on on the sea front and ideally located for easy access into the town centre(8-10min walk from station.) It's location means its not on the main road which makes it quieter yet convenient. Recently refurbished rooms with lovely new balconies on 3 sides all with great sea views, canopies and new furniture. Essentially a 5 course meal every night with local specialities on the menu. Particulary good for fish lovers. Very welcoming Staff / managers who made an effort to get to know people personally and help in every way. During our stay the World Cup was on and the manager who, with great humour, enthused about the English National anthem. He insisted we stayed and stood up showing respect for our team whilst it was being played at the start of a match (which we were late for and aiming to catch on a big screen in a local bar). How could we refuse with such a polite request! Later we discovered he was an Argentinan which has now changed any misconceived opinions that the English may have on Argentians - They are now highly regarded in our opinion. The managers seem to remember where all their past visitors come from and you get the feeling there must be a lot of repeat custom (we'd go back). There is a nice personal touch from the hotel when you leave which holidaymakers here will need to find out for themselves. Excellent free facilites: sauna & jacuzzi in a fitness room in the roof which you book and is reserved for your personal use. The only minor downside is that the rooms did'nt have air conditioning. The rooms are lovely and airy but those not used to the heat would probably need to keep the balcony doors open during the night (which is great to be able hear the gentle noise of the sea). However, the resort is kept very clean and sanitary which means that the dustcart comes 5-6 o'clock most mornings and empties all the bins full of bottles very noisely waking all but the profoudly deaf.

Kortom, heel goed bevallen.

A perfect place to stay during springtime in May. We were exploring the area (ligurian mountains, coast down to France) and had perfect nights at the ocean front (sand beach). Service staff was very friendly, the food provides excellent quality for Italian food lovers (take at least half board). We will surely come back.

The hotel is situated in a busy resort and the beaches charge to use them. The hotel staff were very welcoming and has a nice little bar. Whilst the food served was good, we felt that having all the guests sitting down en mass (whilst I am sure this is needed to properly provide the quantity of food) was a little too much of a "cattle market". The room was a good size with a view over the beach / sea.

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews on the Venere website and stayed at the beginning of October, when the resort was closing for the winter, which suited us. We flew into Nice, reaching the resort along a motorway with the most spectacular views. The hotel was as described at the quieter end of the resort. Not only were the owners and staff at the hotel very charming and welcoming, but we also found the local shopkeepers and restaurant staff to be so too. Our room was lovely and we had the delight of going to sleep to the sound of the sea, with the added bonus of a loo with a view! The food was gorgeous and the service was friendly and efficient. Friends joined us part way through the week and the hotel very kindly found them a room close to ours. This was our first visit to this area of Italy but we will return to explore more and will be more than happy to stay at the Palace again.

This was the first time we had taken full board in a hotel (usually we rent a villa for the sake of independence and only use hotels en route from a to b. We were so pleasantly surprised! We didn't miss our indepedence at all. The food was wonderful and fantastic value for money. (Our only complaint was that we couldn't resist and ate far too much.) The service was superb (Italian waiters are the best in the world) and the welcome extremely friendly from the owner /proprietors, who work really hard to ensure that everyone is being well looked after. Elisabeth's flower displays in the public rooms were gorgeous. We had a charming sea view and balcony from which to enjoy it, plenty of space in our bedroom and a short walk into the centre of town if we didn't feel like relaxing on the beach between the enormous and irresistible meals! Despite being obviously a tourist resort, Diano Marina is an attractive town with some upmarket areas as well as the usual family attractions(although we can imagine that it becomes very crowded in high summer) and there are plenty of little villages nearby to explore if you have the energy and/or need to use up some calories. We can't recommend either the town or the hotel highly enough and will certainly be going back again, maybe next time with friends. (No internet access for guests, by the way, although I received helpful email messages in response to enquiries before we left UK.)

Extremely friendly hotel with service of a very high standard. There was initial confusion over the price as it was not clear on Venere that the online quote for half board was for a minimum stay of 3 nights - something to be amended perhaps. However, I slept and ate very well in one of the nicest spots on the coast - I was pleased with my decision to stay in Diano Marina, which has a real beach, rather than noisy/overpriced/posy San Remo. Thank you too for kindly upgrading my room for a seaview! Highly recommended.
