Park Hotel - Desenzano del Garda

There was nothing big wrong with the hotel or it`s staff, but in some things it felt like we were staying in ***-star hotel, than in ****-star one. The little "something" that makes the difference was missing. But in the end, our stay was pleasant, although the weather was very wet during our stay. Ideally located in the centre of the resort right on the lake with numerous restaurants & bars within a short stroll.Within easy walking distance to the ferry point to connect with other towns on the lake.

Ask for rooms with view over the lake.. You're 40 meters from the lake. Underground parking is free at the hotel. EUR 13 for breakfast, so we had breakfast in one of the small cantinas in the area surrounding the hotel. Train Station (2hrs to Venice) is far away, takes at least 35 minutes to walk.. But the parking is free by the Train Station so take your car or Taxi. The hotel was really nice and clean, but the room we had was underneeth the cleaning/laundry room, so there were a constant noise. We would anytime re-visit the hotel.

My room smelled of stale...

I paid for superior room but got normal rooms. rooms were not connected, no balconies, and on 1st floor. the staff were nice but fake.the managers were not easy going . i was surprised that breakfast was not icluded. iam frequent travler to italy,and even in big cities i felt more confortable.i advice to go to the adriatic sea next time as i always did.

This is a great place to stay. Fortunately we had a room facing the lake which was excellent. The staff are top class, very friendly, speak a variety of languages and are always helpful even when you have checked out. The food is superb - the only thing to remember is that breakfast is not included in the price. The pictures on the site do not do it justice as it has or is in the process of being re painted and looks great, also the photo's do not emphasise the fact that from the front there is a small car park area the road a pavement and the lake, that is how close it is. Great place to stay will certainly aim to visit there again

Attenzione la colazione è a parte costa 12 euro a persona e non vi viene detto all'arrivo! stanze poco aerate (molto caldo in inverno), posizione ottima facilmente raggiungibile, parcheggio auto interno gratuito

This is a great location. Wonderful room with veranda oerlooking the lake. Double glazing very effective but soundproofing between rooms could be better. All staff were friendly and welcoming, reception staff were exceptionally helpful.

Oncw we received room we requested and paid for stay was excelent. Location gret. Dinner very good but prices are high.

Professionali e gentilissimi, posizione ottima sul lungolago, albergo di classe, sembra nuovissimo e molto pulito. consiglio vivamente. A++++++++++

The Park Hotel was pretty much as expected, great location and adequate rooms, although two out of the three rooms has some sort of problem one had water coming through the light fitting and another had an unpleasant smell which did not improve during our stay no other rooms were available as the hotel was fully booked

We enjoyed very much our stay in Desenzano. The Hotel is advisable; but the prices are very high, maybe too high compared to the facilities offered.

Do not try to use the pool at sister hotel. We were locked in for 3 hours w/no food or drink available. We had no instructions that this would occur.

The Park Hotel was very clean, however the staff was not very friendly. The breakfast was adequate but lacked variety.

We enjoyed our stay very much and can compliment all aspects of the hotel and its staff, and would hope to visit again kind regrads mr & mrs vayro

We atayed at the Park Hotel for two nights in a superior double room - on the front with balcony. Would recommend this if you can afford it. Bedroom was excellent. We had one dinner in the Hotel dining room and the standard of fish served was as high as I have encountered in many top restaurants. Desenzano proved to be a good base for the holiday and we were able to board boats for trips round the lake within 3 minutes of the Hotel - by the way it was hot! Also there is an excellent restaurant in the square. 7 euro from the train station by taxi(to far to walk). Good connections from the station to Verona(40 minutes), Bergamo and Milan. we started in Genoa - Italian train service was very good.

The hotel is situated a stones throw away from the lake in the centre, a good selection of small boutiques/shops are very close by. The hotel was fully booked upon our arrival and so they upgraded our room free of charge to a Junior Suite. The Hotel restaurant was closed but reception were very helpful and suggested a restaurant next to the hotel. The food was amazing and not expensive.

LA suite era molto spaziosa , ma c'erano maalucne riparazioni da fare come il bagno per one il bagno. Il prezzo è molto buono ma le suite nn lo valgono

The Park Hotel is very comfortable, and its central location is ideal. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we have found in our travels all over Italy. We definitely plan to return.

A three night romantic break which was enhanced by the service and relaxed environment of the hotel. Although we did not eat in the hotel the service, attention and assistance we received from the staff was excellent. Had a junior suite, which in our view was worth the money and helped to ensure we unwound and relaxed during our stay. The hotel is ideally placed for trips to Sirmone and beyond..also well place within Desenzano. Would definitely return.

The best thing about the hotel by far is it`s location and views of the lake. For a four star hotel we were dissapointed by the limited menu which was the same offered throughout our stay. We missed a swimming pool at the hotel but to be fair were offered the facilities in a neghbouring partner hotel. All in all a pleasant stay... well worth it for the views of the lake

Very good location. The booking through Venere was seamless and easy. There is no business centre but it is just as well since this is a holiday town. We had 2 standard rooms on different floors and both had good views. The staff were very helpful in advising & arranging alternate sports. I would stay here again...anytime

The location was ideal, not only for the town but for getting around the lake also. People were tremendously friendly and welcoming and whilst we chose a more expensive room, we felt that we had value for money.This was a wonderful holiday!

An excellent hotel with good service and knowledgable staff

The hotel was very lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were extremely comfortable and we had a wonderful view of the lake. It was ideally situated for walking around the town. The staff were welcoming, although at times could be a bit dismissive, but on the whole were helpful, giving us local infomation on places to eat etc.

Ideal location in the heart of Desenzano in front of the lake. Quite small but clean and nice rooms with view on the lake. Advice: The price difference between a double and "junior suite" is not worth it unless your priority is the bigger (and nicer) bathroom...that's what you pay for. Overall very satisfied...would return...great front desk personnel...Cheers

The location of the hotel was excellent with views fo Lake Garda positiojned just across the road. The staff were helpful in a difficult situation where my luggage had been missplaced by the airline.

Excellent position, map of how to get there could be a lot better. Very friendly staff. Be careful of getting blocked in on market days as stalls on road outside of hotel. Not the biggest rooms, but definitely recommend to others.

Pleasantly located hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast and evening meals were excellent, but the evening menu did not change for the 5 days we were there. Very good value for money.

Great location - right near the center of the town. Our room was clean, but very small and the shower was awful. However, my father-in-law stayed in the same hotel and his room was wonderful. Much bigger, huge bathroom, good shower. He was on the first floor we were on the second.

Wondefull Hotel, thought it's not cheap.

The employee was very kind. The room was somewhat narrow but it was brightly clean. It is very much satisfied.
